Thank you Brendon for always being such a tireless and generous cheerleader for our success! We can always count on you to light that motivational fire with practical steps to keep us moving forward towards our goals ~ THANK YOU!!
Just what I need today in the beginning of this Q4. It can feel so overwhelming and pep talks like this is MUCH needed! Thank you thank you thank you! This is gonna be on my daily morning playlist.
One of the best teachings on growth vs fixed mindset that I have ever heard! Practical, insightful, challenging, encouraging, relatable, and enthusiastic. Especially appreciate the habit of reading the signals to grow and redefining how to respond to self anger and self doubt. Also appreciate the insight on the habit of actively, constantly soliciting feedback from others. Thanks!
This was awesome presentation, especially the comments about athletes playing against eachother and not hating themselves and actively seeking feedback. I used to think I had a growth mindset. Better REREAD Dr. Dweck's book.
16:59 ‐ just in case no one else explained this: «to throw baby out with the bathwater" means to lose focus on what's important (washing the baby) and concentrate too much on the superfluous task. Or, it can be interpreted as eliminating something good or of value while trying to get rid of something unwanted.
I believe that throwing the baby out with the bath water comes from the olden days where families had to use the same tub to wash their gazillion kids and parents. At first the water is warm and clear, but after is has washed dad, mom, and all the older kids it would get so dirty that by the time it was the baby’s turn you could only see it’s head sticking out of the tub 😄 With this background it may be easier to resonate with the metaphor.
Does anyone know how often Brendon does the certification week? The timing is bad for me for multiple reasons but I would love to get trained sometime in the near future.
Much need Life & Work fulfillment emotional booster which keeps you on the track and gets you back to home base asap if you have lost your way among the daily virus (negative belief systems) prevalent today.
