Great shout. every time I think about buying another pedal, I try to get the sound on my Tonex One & HX one board first. I haven't bought a new pedal in months. I still want them lol, I just haven't pulled the trigger because 9 times out of 10 I can get the sound I wanted. especially for a worship bass player the POD bass express or the tonex one coupled with the HX one is close to unbeatable for the money. the rig is always with me for a back up. I could see this being the perfect in-house rig for a church; not crazy expensive, sounds great, and pretty simple.
Thanks for sharing! Wow that is a TINY rig of HX One and Tonex One! Could even squeeze on an expression pedal for the HX One. Indeed, with a little tweaking we can plum the depths of our existing gear and pull out sounds that stop us from more gear purchases!
I paired the pod express with a valeton vlp200 looper on a mini board powered by a mobile powerbank. It makes for a really powerful and versatile practice rig.
@ you need a usb to dc 5v to 9v adapter and a daisy chain power cable, but these pedals don’t draw too much power so even a small powerbank will last hours. I attached an ampero switch to the pod so I can toggle drive, effects and delay. I’m having a lot of fun with it.
We live in a time when you can have an entire rig with just one or two small pedals. It's amazing. I use a Boss GT-1000Core and a Walrus Slotva. That's it.
So true! Is your Slotva in the FX loop of the GT1000 Core? I’m tempted to try a GT1000 Core just because I have an MS-3 and I thought they might play well together.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I run it in one of the FX loops so I can move it around, yeah. I snagged it when Walrus was running one of their clearance sales.
Cool! Heard that, Boss? We need 3rd party capture support from your modelers! (In all likelihood that’s just a dream, but it would simplify SO much setup if our modelers could load captures on the amp blocks like Genome can with Neural Amp Modeler)
A POD Go can’t use DSP-intensive effects like the PolyCapo and support a Matchless style amp. Not only does the POD Go not have the Poly Pitch effects, it’s an impossible combination even on the HX Stomp.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I see. I probably wouldn't need it in my scenario... but it's great that they are offering this option for folks that may need it! I like how Yamaha/Line6 give you multiple points of entry as far as price and funcitonality. What a time to be alive as a guitar player!
Sorry but for the price of just those two pedals and putting them on a nano or even without you may as well just stick with a regular Pod go and have more options.
I think I'm gonna stick to my pedal board.. The learning curve that's required plus modelling sound isnt worth saving weight or convenience enough for me at the expense of real tone and feel.. Im a purist.. Besides I can change settings on a fly..
trust me man - give it a shot. Your back will thank you in the long run. Besides, lately newer tech had made it easier to connect good analog gear before and after digital gear

Productive limitation is so good for creativity. I find the Boss ME 90 to serve a similar function
That’s a great unit! As an ‘80s kid I can appreciate no-screen interfaces. It must be really quick to tweak on the fly when things go wrong!
I combined POD Express and Plethora X5 😁
Excellent combo! I have the PX5 and it’s such an underrated piece of gear. Are you putting it in the effects loop, or after the PX5?
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I put it in the fx loop

Whoa that's true mobility! The closest I've come to is using a Pedaltrain Volto for my small pedalboard.

So cool! Sometimes I wish I was in the US to benefit from these sales...
I run a boss gx100 with a tonex one in the fx loop and it does everything I need. I will say I almost got the gt1000core and 2 tonex ones

How is this different than having a pod go?

That’s true, a POD Go is possible, but it can’t do the PolyCapo + Matchless amp combination.

That’s perfectly legit, more power to you if you can pull off a fully analog rig!
