Hi, what state are you from? I was just wondering, because while watching I looked up gun-ownership numbers for the various states, and it turns out that it varies widely, with Montana in the lead, with 66% of households having at least one firearm, and New Jersey dead last, with only 8% of households having a gun. My state, Maryland, is pretty close to average, at 30%. Anyway, it seams to me that even in a state like NJ, we can really say that almost no-one has a gun, when almost 1 out of ever 10 homes you pass on the street contains at least one. Also, living in Korea, I was wondering if you were aware of the recent Supreme Court which basically says that nobody has to show a good or substantial reason for why they need a permit to carry (not merely own) a gun in public? Now almost every state is effectively a ‘shall issue’ state, where anyone who passes a basic background test must be given a concealed (or open) carry permit, as long as they complete a few hours of training. Except of course for the states which don’t even require any kind of permit to carry a gun (so-called 'Constitutional Carry’ laws).
@@HistoryNerd808 I know it is. My main point was that even in a state like that, there are many more guns, and people who own them, than in the UK. There are only a bit less than 600 000 people in the UK certified to own a gun, and close to 28 million households. This means that at most, approximately 2% of households in the UK has a gun in it. The comparable number for Massachusetts is 9%, or 4.5 times higher. This in the US state with the second lowest rate of firearms ownership. Also, on a sidetone, it misestimated that the average (not median) gun owner in the US has 8 guns, and that 3% of the people in the US possess more than half the guns in the country, which are estimated to number 393.3 million. This means that 3% of the population, or less than 10 million people, collectively possess close to 200 million guns. So a higher percentage of people in the US own a dozen or more guns, than the then percentage of people in the UK who own just one gun. Massachusetts may be very anti-gun by American standards, but compared to the UK, it is a gun owner's, or aspiring gun owner's paradise. Additionally, due to a recent Supreme Court decision, almost anyone is now allowed to, or will soon be allowed to obtain a carry permit, without having to provide any reason whatsoever. In the UK, people are more or less prohibited from even owning a handgun, while they are not only legal to possess, but can be legally carried on your person, all day, every day, in most places.
@@fordhouse8b Yeah. They think that their country/ies have better food QUALITY & STANDARDS. Which is also untrue and even in the US we have things in food that are banned, that aren't in the UK. Also it's ironic coming from a country that had the whole "mad cow disease" thing & still thinking they have better quality in the UK. 😂
It's very tough to compare the whole United States to any individual country. The U.S. is quite large, and the people are quite different depending on where you live. Also, growing up in South Dakota I saw many Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles all the time.
@@southcoastinventors6583 Within EU 46 different languages are spoken and 25 languages are official languages. I'm German and if I go to a neighbouring country like Belgium, Denmark, Hungary or France I don't understand the languages spoken there. Countries in the EU don't even all use the same writing systems. If you go to Greece you see this: "είσοδος" and you can't even guess how to read it. But even within my country, Germany people from the northern part of the country can't understand the southerners when they speak their local dialects, which by some linguists are considered a language on its own. So the cultural diversity within EU is much, much, much, much, much, much bigger than within the US. I'd say the diversity within the US is like the diversity within Germany or within France. If the US had the kind of diversity EU has, each state would have to have a different official language. Imagine in Texas they speak German, in Alabama French, in California Spanish, in New York Dutch, in Massachusetts Swedish, in Maine Polish, in Tennessee Greek, and so on and that's the official languages of each state and people there have to learn English at school as a second language. That's how EU works.
@@helgaioannidis9365 US has people from every part of the world so I am going to go out on a limb and say that we have a bit of diversity too. Guess you do not count all the Native American languages, still spoken.
@@southcoastinventors6583 I wasn't doubting that the US are diverse, I was explaining why the claim that the US are like a more integrated form of EU is wrong. If the local native languages were the only official languages in the states and each state only used one or two specific local native language, your claim might be true. But as the US are now, the diversity in the US is very different from the diversity within EU. Imagine in New York everything is written in Chinese and everybody speaks Chinese and some learned Navajo at school, which you too learned at school and to communicate you need to speak Navajo. And there are people from Nigeria, India, China, Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Thailand, Syria, Turkey and many other countries living there, speaking Chinese, because that's the official language and they learned it so they can communicate. And then in New Jersey they speak Thai and learn Navajo as a second language and the foreigners who live there speak Thai. So people from New York to communicate with people from New Jersey woul need to speak Navajo with each other, because their native languages are very different. A country that is definitely some kind of more integrated form of EU could be India I guess.

I was surprised when she said "americans speak their mind more". As a Spaniard, I find it really annoying that Americans are too politically correct and don't actually say what they think but often times rather the opposite.
As an American, I can say among those of like mind/similar opinions were super outspoken but when around people we don’t know we try to be more politically correct/sensitive as to not offend or cause conflict.
For one thing Christina is from the Northeast where people are well known for being very straight forward and abrupt. That’s why Yankees tend to rub a lot of other Americans the wrong way while being confused as to why. Just because the Americans you’ve encountered were a certain way doesn’t mean all of us are so. As we tell outsiders, Americans are culturally different mostly based on regions.
Everyone in my family and extended family has Weapons, the ar 15 is not a military weapon grade class weapon neither is the ak 47. In the U.S. and particularly in the South. The military class would have a selector switch with a single 3 round. burst and Autofire takes a dealer's license and a deep dig into background checks.
There have been times traveling to other countries, where I feel more safe and relaxed. And I think why isn't this considered freedom too? Knowing that half my neighbors are armed isn't bumping up my freedom meter.
The UK girl saying “we always have to be respectful of others, hence we don’t say everything we think” Out of all the videos in this channel I have seen more UK peeps who are rude compared to any other country.. heck even Emily (you yourself)was rude to Christina multiple times!
I thought the same thing. Emily herself did the opposite of her saying. She was rude toward Christina and she said many mean comments under the excuse of JOKING
I thought quite the opposite. While I think she was saying things with a bit of humor, I don't believe she was saying what she really thought honestly. Especially when the post about the Americans being about "freedom, guns, bald eagles, and burgers". You could tell she was holding back. I'm an American, and an African American at that, so maybe that's just how I culturally read the cues?
You just don’t get humour. Are you American by any chance? I find Americans to be so boring in personally, all they is to them is being loud and whiny. 🤷🏻♀️
It’s fine if you pre-rinse the dirtiest things and then wash stuff from cleanest to dirtiest so there isn’t food-residue building up in the water. Most people under the age of 50 rinse though these days cos they can’t remember energy rationing. Mind you, I’m only 21 and I really hate seeing people running super-full baths or leaving the tap running constantly when washing up.
After being in California for a while I find it amusing seeing Christina's hands going down for McDonald's and up for In-N-Out. My first time in the US and a friend was driving, it was the first stop outside LAX. Not a bad way of saying "Welcome to America." 😛
Honestly I prefer the hamburgers served at diners and sit down restaurants to that at fast food places. Higher quality of ingredients and more selection instead of just beef/cow. I’ve had bison/buffalo burgers at restaurants.
I think one reason why we're more direct is we got Scots and irish and all the chavs and people from places like birmingham and the west country, and then we added italians, germans, and a bunch of people from slavic and baltic nations.
"...freedom, guns, bald eagles and burgers..." That's a pretty good description of Wisconsin, course you have to add bratwurst, sauerkraut, cheese, and beer, amongst other things. Had a bald eagle nesting across the street from my house last summer, one time I was coming home from work I thought he/she was gonna swoop down and try to snatch my car. I waited for it to take off before I opened the garage door. Those things are seriously big up close, 6' or 7' wingspan.
I'm not a gun person but I mean, the gun part....not far off. I think if you live in northern states it's less common to see it being openly carried, but if you consider all the southern states and the size of population of those states, and add that there are many people even up north (especially in major cities and areas with farms/ranch and wilderness) who carry, I would say yeah, probably a majority. It really also depends on the open carry law in those states. You'll definitely see it more in southern states out in the open. I'm in Texas and growing up I can specifically remember a few men who will have a gun holster in church (back when I forced to attend); kid you not, a gun on one hip, a bottle of hot sauce on the other.
Not a majority. Only appx 45% of households in the US has at least one gun. HOWEVER, there are enough civilian-owned guns in the US to give every single person (including kids) a gun, with millions still left over. That means those 45% of households average a bit over 2 guns, but there are a terrifying number of households that have TEN OR MORE guns, which skews the statistics.
@@kellzilla Also depends on state, but Mass has the lowest ownership rate and it's 14%, which many countries would consider high. Not entirely a North vs. South thing. Some of New England is very high, and a few also don't require licensing or paperwork for longarms at all, Mass notwithstanding. Also a lot of the northern midwest is pretty high for ownership.
As a British man I can confirm that our women are pretty feral when they go abroad. I can also confirm that American women are a piece of cake whether inside or outside of their country...
The "Bland food" is just like that for the stereotype , everyone likes a different type of food , but the stereotype says that countries like United Kingdom 🇬🇧, the United States 🇺🇸, Russia🇷🇺 , the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Iceland 🇮🇸 have the worst or bland foods , while the same stereotype says that Spain 🇪🇦, Mexico 🇲🇽 , France 🇨🇵 and Italy 🇮🇹 have the best and great food
French food is a bit overrated (not the macrons though), I mean to say the "hype" is not real. And Spanish foods are nothing unique(no offense please). Only Italian and greek cuisine stands out really.
@ 3:29, "In America, you can literally get a military grade..." That is a common generalised misconception that non "gun-savvy" people make. They look at an AR-15, AK-47, or a Ruger Mini-14 tactical rifle, and call them "weapons of war". On the contrary, they are what we gun enthusiasts call sporting rifles.
In the U.S., most people who own guns will be law enforcement or military or will live in rural areas or cities steeped in a rural culture (like in Texas or other parts of the West or South). Your typical resident of a typical non-rural area won't own a gun.
I loved the "nerd" comment about Spiderman hahaha and yes, everyone seems to be worried about what Americans do... but maybe they should be more worried about what BRICS do.
🤣For the "Boston has Boston KFC", I can assure you that's true in China. China's KFC and McDonald's are so different, so much better than the ones in the US and UK, with distinctively different new items every month.
Uhm, Sweden here. I only shower every other day. I think most people do unless they work out everyday. I cannot see how that would be in any way not fresh.
As an American, I was taught to shower every day. So, it's new for me. I sweat at night, too, so I feel like I should do this daily. I've never tried it your way or never thought about it. When I get a depressed day off, a day when I don't feel like washing, I won't feel so bad, since I know someone in the world doesn't think it's bad. I just need to have the courage.
It’s not strictly true that in the U.K. you can only get a shotgun. But you have to demonstrate a legitimate need for your firearm (including a shotgun), show you have a safe place to store it and the ammunition, get your doctor to say you’re fit to have a gun and so on. Being a member of a shooting club is sufficient reason, it’s just not a common thing. There are still banned weapons too, you couldn’t get a working AK47 but you could certainly get one to collect with the ability to fire taken out.
As an American, I think being so diverse makes us more honest, but it also makes us more sensitive! It's easy to talk about a nation of people when you don't have to face them; much harder when they're your neighbors.
I'm American and a gun owner. The number of guns here is crazy. Having said that, you almost never, ever see them, unless you live in a community where they are common. If you look at the stats, although there are more guns, there are, per capita, less gun owners. So a select number of people are collecting large amounts of guns. It is a very strange thing and most of it boils down to people thinking guns are cool, which is a horrible aspect of the gun culture here. Guns should never be cool...they are tools. Other than arms historians, or museums, I don't see a reason for someone to acquire that amount of firearms. Not to mention...they present a large target of theft and many guns that circulate are stolen. It happened to me. I lived in a house with 3 other guys and 1 person always left their guns (2) on the bookshelf in the living room. Our house got broken into. Guess what was missing when we came home...I always kept mine hidden in a drawer, underneath stuff, and it was still there. Fun fact, the reason I knew my gun wasn't stolen was because another roommate of mine (not the one who had his guns stolen) came running out of the house as I pulled up, with my gun in his hand. He knew where it was, because we had talked about it, but that was a crazy site to see. Things you only see in America I guess lol.
Uhhmmmmmm, nooo, I seriously doubt no one in the UK wouldn't judge a woman for doing whatever she wants. No society is that perfect. It would be fantastic though, but, we are not there, yet.
meeeh Emily, that's insulting to Germans... I shower every Day... i just do not use shampoo every day, because that would not do well to the skin in the long run....
Well, in this circumstance it refers to semi-automatic and firing a cartridge that is not suitable for hunting most game (5.56 is okay for varmints, but not really anything I would go hunt).
Actually freedom, guns, bald eagles, and burgers isn’t too far off. This lady likely lived near a highly populated area which is usually liberal and doesn’t have many guns. But if you live in the Midwest, south, or the west (like Montana Wyoming and Arizona area not California) then you will see a lot of gunslinger here in the Midwest we see a lot of bald eagles, there’s actually one that lives really close to my house. And we do like our burgers.
Are you kidding me? Illinois is a liberal state, and gun shops are everywhere. But it's true that it's cheaper and access is easier in the Red states. That's why most Illinois residents source our guns from Wisconsin above us or Indiana next door. She's from Boston, Massachusetts.
A lot are run down ruins with no standing walls though. Wales is also an exception, as it has castles that were built as part of an aggressive strategy to take over by Normans building castles throughout the country, not unlike Americans building forts throughout the Native American territory. Also worth remembering that most North Americans think of mansions and palaces when they hear castles. Castles are not that comfortable to live in, most of the old families that own castles moved out hundreds of years ago because they were not comfortable and the upkeep was too much. That is where the National Trust comes in.
I'm french, gotta admit that I was quite offended about the fact that we are famous for not showering like seriously I take a shower almost every day, like this is just a stereotype :/ Anyways great vid keep up the great work! :)
Even if you didn't, it really would not matter unless you emanated bad smells. Also trust me when I say there are plenty people in the US that do not shower often or even worse cover it up with perfume/cologne.

They think that their country/ies have better food QUALITY & STANDARDS. Which is also untrue and even in the US we have things in food that are banned, that aren't in the UK. Also it's ironic coming from a country that had the whole "mad cow disease" thing & still thinking they have better quality in the UK. 😂
Should've had them read comments for each other's countries. Woulda been funnier.
Emily is a piece of work but in a good way. 😄
It's very tough to compare the whole United States to any individual country. The U.S. is quite large, and the people are quite different depending on where you live. Also, growing up in South Dakota I saw many Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles all the time.
Yeah, this is the crux of many of the comparison video because the US is just a more integrated version of the EU and bigger as well.
I also saw several bald eagles growing up in Ohio. I used to watch the parents feeding their babies.
Sooooo , I'm french and I can say without lying that most of people take a shower per day, and after like in each country there is exeption. It is one of the main wrong stéréotypes about french people.
Ps: showing everyday demage your skins badly ( words of a doctor ).
I was surprised when she said "americans speak their mind more". As a Spaniard, I find it really annoying that Americans are too politically correct and don't actually say what they think but often times rather the opposite.
Yes as a German I was also surprised, because people from the US usually think we're very rude, because we just say what we think.
Sounds like you met someone from California, particularly the Bay Area or LA, or maybe Portland, Oregon.
*_"American speak their mind"_*
*_[Me as a French] : 🤣😂🤣😂_*
Christina is too polite to tell the truth.
Emily’s banter is truly fantastic
I think the mean commens don't come from the viewers, but from Emily. Love her!
Yea an insecure bitter brit jealousy exudes out of her skin. You must be juts like her
Everyone in my family and extended family has Weapons, the ar 15 is not a military weapon grade class weapon neither is the ak 47. In the U.S. and particularly in the South.
Emily is so charismatic. I love you
I'm from MA , just liken Christina, and there are many people with guns. Perhaps it's her circle of acquaintances.
Love how Emily's humour changed drastically lolll
The UK girl saying “we always have to be respectful of others, hence we don’t say everything we think”
Out of all the videos in this channel I have seen more UK peeps who are rude compared to any other country..
heck even Emily (you yourself)was rude to Christina multiple times!
See in California there's no need to talk about the weather b/c it's amazing most of the time
Emily your voice, and beauty killed me

“There’s some really good food in England”
American girl: “hmmmmm …… mmmmmm…. Yeah I’m sure there is”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is: the indian one! ^^
The very first person who i saw not rinsing the dishes after washing them with soapy dish washer was from UK
@@Emmet_Moore ah a perfect case for npd lol.
Super disgusting

-But there are also many like shy people in the States too
-Nooo absolutely and you represent that *one percent*
I love this girl ... 😄😄😄
I like this girls. Thank you.
That not rinsing shit is done in the u.s. as well. An ex friend of mine they always did that in they house. As well as a few others
I love at 7:50 she didn’t miss a chance to shit talk the French and ze Germans 🤣
I love all of videos Christina is in them. She is so beautiful and have a really good performance before the cameras! ☺️☺️
Omgggg you have to rinse the food particles away 🤣🤮🤣
"...freedom, guns, bald eagles and burgers..." That's a pretty good description of Wisconsin, course you have to add bratwurst, sauerkraut, cheese, and beer, amongst other things. Had a bald eagle nesting across the street from my house last summer, one time I was coming home from work I thought he/she was gonna swoop down and try to snatch my car. I waited for it to take off before I opened the garage door. Those things are seriously big up close, 6' or 7' wingspan.
I think all of that slipped down into your neighbor below: Illinois.
Man, this dynamic duo is a blast to see in action. Good job teaming them up again!
Yeah, they are great team!
That British girl damn...
so pretty😍
Emily has my vote
These comments were too nice to be labelled "mean" : )
You have to find some real mean comments that are full of sh*t !
some of them were kinds mean tho, none i would personally get offended by but they’re definitely looking for a fight
You forgot the Indian 🇮🇳 food. The UK is full of Indian restaurants too!
@Aaron9 America just copies other cuisines and claims them as their own tbf.
French food is a bit overrated (not the macrons though), I mean to say the "hype" is not real. And Spanish foods are nothing unique(no offense please). Only Italian and greek cuisine stands out really.
Italy and France i would agree but Mexico? Wtf
@@lucasheredia3579 Mexican food is just vomit with cheese on it.

7:47 yeah well that is not true unless you're a lazy teen XD not washing everyday isn't common in France.
The not showering thing is bs. Not sure who she’s surrounding herself with. I have never seen this
@ 3:29, "In America, you can literally get a military grade..." That is a common generalised misconception that non "gun-savvy" people make. They look at an AR-15, AK-47, or a Ruger Mini-14 tactical rifle, and call them "weapons of war". On the contrary, they are what we gun enthusiasts call sporting rifles.
Emily's accent and personality remind me of Emilia Clarke. Christina looks like a young Sharon Stone with a hint of Jodie Foster.
Happy to see Christina🥰 She makes me full of energy for work🤛🏻
Omg Emily, love that
There are more guns in the United States than there are people, so I find it funny that you said, most people don’t have guns.
Someone from England please explain the plates and washing thing because those two things left me baffled.
🤣For the "Boston has Boston KFC", I can assure you that's true in China.
China's KFC and McDonald's are so different, so much better than the ones in the US and UK, with distinctively different new items every month.
I've been to many parts of the UK and every place they took me for what they themselves considered "good food"? it was always Indian 😎
So I'am german and every one I know showers everyday or all 2 days
All 2 days is dirty
Same for french people
Soapy dishes?tf? No way people do that! 😮
We also don't get nice weather often
Uhm, Sweden here. I only shower every other day. I think most people do unless they work out everyday. I cannot see how that would be in any way not fresh.
As an American, I was taught to shower every day. So, it's new for me. I sweat at night, too, so I feel like I should do this daily. I've never tried it your way or never thought about it. When I get a depressed day off, a day when I don't feel like washing, I won't feel so bad, since I know someone in the world doesn't think it's bad. I just need to have the courage.
7:02 uncle Ben is rolling in his grave ! 😂
I watch The Office Blokes channel and there’s a bloke on there who has guns. He talks about it often.
Meanwhile, in the US actual AKs are a little harder to get because of protectionist import laws.
Emily is charming af
Freedom to say what they want in an unpolite manner and if someone dares to desagree, they want to jump at each other's throats!
As an American, I think being so diverse makes us more honest, but it also makes us more sensitive! It's easy to talk about a nation of people when you don't have to face them; much harder when they're your neighbors.
Not everyone in America has guns, however there are more guns than there are people.
With great power comes a great need to take a nap. Wake me up later.

"military grade" is a fancy term for "cheapest possible option"
Well, in this circumstance it refers to semi-automatic and firing a cartridge that is not suitable for hunting most game (5.56 is okay for varmints, but not really anything I would go hunt).
why everyone in this channel is so beautiful
gotta love emily
We need a part 2 with these 2 lovely gals lmao
The gun stereotype is hilarious.
Emily needs to visit the US.
There are 427 castles in Wales alone so I'd say there are quite a few castles in the UK.
