    Thanks again brother. Very clear as always. One must not automatically assume when the word 'judgment' appears in the bible means spiritual death. For example 1Corinthians 11v32 ' But when we (believers) are judged by the Lord, we are being DISCIPLINED so that we may not be condemned along with the world. ' blessings to you bro

    Wow, Caleb, another deeper understanding from your simple, logical teaching ability. The Lord has truly given you a wonderful gift, and what a blessing it would be for everyone else who discovers this channel, to hear an entire sermon from you at some point, as God works through you. Thank you so much for your obvious love for the word.

    Good one Caleb! Quick comment. I do agree with your general conclusion, however, there is a sense in which this also has a yet future fulfillment. The testing and purifying down here is also in preparation for standing before Christ at the Bema seat (as opposed to the Great White Throne judgment for non-believers) see: 2 Cor 5:10 🙏

    Hi Caleb, as many verses can be multifaceted, do you think that it could also be that one of the reasons for this judgement is as a result of the church not doing her job throughout the ages. We reap what we have sown over many years by a slow compromise. Sure, people can choose to sin, but if the church has said nothing or very little, the result is a people who will accept anything, are a law unto themselves and who eventually turn on those who should have led the way.
    It's just a thought that occurred to me the other day when reading Romans 2. I know this could be argued but I still think there is some truth in it.

  • @whiterosesforthebrideofchrist

    The Apostle Paul pronounced a curse on most of the main Christian denominations of today because they preach a different gospel than what Paul preached. To quote exactly what Paul said, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8). Both apostle Paul and Peter preached the same gospel and quote from the prophet Joel saying, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved" (Romans 10:13 and Acts 2:21). The English translations say “Lord” instead of “Yahweh.” But “Lord” does not translate “Yahweh” it is a substitution of a totally different word altogether. This substitution activates two additional curses: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18, 19).
    The people are not ready because of man-made creeds. The people know the creeds but are not taught the scriptures. And they are taught a man-made ecclesiastical calendar that ignores the Lord's watches. The Lord said, “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching...” (Luke 12:37). Many say that they are watching all the time. However, the Lord is not speaking figuratively for He goes on to say, “And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.” (Luke 12:38). Under normal circumstances people are asleep during the second or third watch. Therefore, He is speaking of a literal watch. His watches are listed in Leviticus 23 and they each have both an Old Testament (O.T.) and a New Testament (N.T.) historical fulfillment on the exact day. For example, the O.T. passover lamb had its N.T. historical fulfillment on the 14th day of the biblical month. Likewise, The Feast of Weeks (7 weeks after Passover - the giving of the law at Mt. Siani) had its N.T. historical fulfillment in Acts chapter two (the new covenant written on the heart - mislabeled as “Pentecost”). The O.T. Historical event had fire on top of the mountain, and loud noise, and the audible voice of Yahweh speaking the ten commandments. The N.T. historical event in Acts 2 also had a loud noise of wind that attracted the crowd. There were flames of fire over the heads of the disciples. The people heard the audible voice of Yahweh speaking through the disciples in 17 languages simultaneously. The next N.T. historical fulfillment will be the Feast of Trumpets. But the people don't know anything about that watch because the Lord's watches have been replaced by a man-made ecclesiastical calendar that ignores His watches and therefore a great majority of the people will not be watching at the appointed time. "But in vain they do worship Me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." (Matthew 15:9).

    judgment has purpose. Eternity in hell has no purpose, it's sadistic and not consistent with the character of God. Read Isaiah 26:9 to discover the purpose of Judgment in plain language.

    The Bible states that the wages of sin is DEATH, not DYING. The Bible says the wicked suffer "death" (Romans 6:23), will suffer "destruction" (Job 21:30), "shall perish" (Psalms 37:20), will "burn up" (Malachi 4:1), "shall be destroyed together" (Psalms 37:38), will "consume away" (Psalms 37:20), "shall be cut off" (Psalms 37:9), "shall be slain" (Psalms 62:3). God will "destroy" them (Psalms 145:20), and "fire shall devour them" (Psalms 21:9).
    Note that all of these references make it clear that the wicked die and are destroyed. They do not live forever in misery.

    • @iThinkBiblically
      @iThinkBiblically  2 года назад

      Death is separation from God. God told Adam the day you eat of it (the forbidden fruit) you shall surely die. When he ate he did not die physically but was separated from God. The father said the prodigal son was dead but now was alive (when he returned). Ephesians 2 says we were dead in our sins and trespasses (separated from God not dead physically). Your reference to being burned up is wrong, it says burn in an oven. To perish means cease to be what it was created for.

    • @raydal
      @raydal 2 года назад

      @@iThinkBiblically all the references you gave apply to spiritual death. The Bible clearly defines death as the reverse of creation. "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it." Ecclesiastes 12:7 (Compare “The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being” Genesis 2:7)
      Where in the Bible does it define death as "separation from God"?
      Where in the Bible does it say that "perish" means "cease to be what it was created for."
      As for the explanation why Adam and Eve did not die the same day see answersingenesis.org/adam-and-eve/why-didnt-adam-and-eve-die-the-instant-they-ate-the-fruit/

      @@sethswen7360 first the story of Lazarus and the rich man is a PARABLE. If this were a literal story it would mean that every good person who dies goes to Abraham's bosom. How large is Abraham's bosom to hold everybody?
      It would mean that people in heaven and hell could have conversations with each other. And IF the body is in the grave how could the 'soul' have fingers, eyes and tongue?
      If bad people went immediately to hell at death then this means that Cain who killed his one brother will be burning longer than Hitler who killed millions? And how could people be punished or rewarded BEFORE they are judged when the Bible says that "after death is the judgment (Hebrews 9:27)?
