When I was 19, I thought I was strong enough to fight off a man if I needed to. I was tall, strong (for a woman), and had weight I could throw around. I felt invincible. My boyfriend tried to explain that I was dreaming, and I needed to be careful and take care of myself. After I smugly said I could fight him off, he wrestled me to the ground and had me pinned in what felt like seconds. He wasn't even trying hard, and he was pretty lean so I actually had 30 pounds on him, easy. As I was struggling not to cry, he said "now imagine if it wasn't me, someone who cares for you and wants to keep you safe." It was so eye opening for me, and to this day I wonder how often he's saved my life with that lesson.

This is why, as a woman, I have a real problem when they lower physical requirements to allow women to become things like firefighters. Ellyse, I'am a retired 30 year veteran of a large CA fire department. A lot of women who come into the fire service are physically competent to handle the job. The problem comes in as they age. We all lose muscle mass as we age. Women who were marginally competent at the beginning of their career, become more of a liability as they age. Men do lose muscle strength as they age, but not to the same extent as most woman.

Here’s the most beautiful thing about this… Lucia was called “The Most Dangerous Woman In The World” and “Lady Tyson”. She’s very muscular for a woman and carries herself in a masculine way. She’s obviously a tomboy lesbian who thinks she’s “tough as nails”. So just imagine how it must’ve felt for her to be laid out on the canvas being cradled and comforted by a man as if she’s a weak and helpless damsel in distress! Oh the irony!!! 😆 😆 😆

I had a girlfriend who was a pro level sponsored mountain bike racer. There was a rider who was trans (an Olympic alternate on the US women's BMX team) who would show up at races and always win. My girlfriend eventually would just not ride if that person showed up as she said it was impossible to compete. Having "men" compete against women does nothing for women in sports, it just discourages them, and is bad for sports in general.

Just two weeks ago, my son who is 15 and goes to a special needs school, was caught in a verbal confrontation with a girl in his class who is overweight and much bigger than my son who is very slim. My son is very politically minded and hates all the woke stuff being pushed on him at school. This girl who I will call 'Karen', did not like the fact she was losing a debate about transgenderism, and got up from her chair, stormed past the two teachers and walked around to where my son was sitting and thumped him on the top of the head. My son is not violent and generally avoids fighting because he has a temper, but needless to say he got up from his chair and went rogue on this girl. When the teachers called me in to discuss the incident, I asked why the teachers allowed this girl to walk right past them, knowing what she was about to do. They replied they are not allowed to restrain, but when they asked my son why he retaliated, he gave them the perfect reply. He said, we were in a woke lesson so I treated her with proper equality...lots and lots of equality! Inside I was laughing my head off, and fair play, he was right.

I’m going to give a personal story. I was in boot camp when I turned 18. I’m 5’4 and was 120 lbs. we had a co-ed hand to hand combat training. I was matched up against a girl who was taller and bigger than me. She outweigh me by at least 40lbs. I was not hitting her back and my drill sergeant got in my face. I went back in after getting my ass chewed out. If you were ever in military boot camp, you know the feeling. I gave her a body nose and knocked her out with 2 punches. We were all wearing head gear and boxing gloves. So for all the dreamers out there, yes biology matters.

Crazy thing, this woman not long ago got into an argument with me. We are both mid 40's and i work as a general contractor which means i am pretty physical. She argued with me and did not like what i had to say. Eventually she got so mad she pushed me in my face which basically just turned my head. I instinctively stood up as i was sitting and she was standing, i stood up and pushed her in her shoulder. I did not use all of my strength but ended up pushing her across the room and onto the floor. She laid there crying that it was my fault and i never should have done that! I never touched her again after that yet as a woman she felt she could stand up to me.
Looking back at it, it was stupid because i could have been arrested since i am stronger even though i did not touch her first.
So basically, the majority of women cannot stand up to the majority of men.

I am of above average height and, in my day, above average strength and athleticism. In my prime, I was faced with intentional battery by a man, which transformed my perspective on this topic. Growing up with brothers, I had been prepared to face boys physically, leading me to believe that I was closer to boys in strength than I actually was. When I was a young adult, my ability to fight off an attacker was nothing in the face of a man whose intention was to overpower me and do me harm. I came to conclude that any man, no matter his physicality, will overpower me IF his intention is to do so. It was an eye opener, and changed my entire perspective on personal safety and self defense. Women and girls need to be taught that sparring or grappling with a male friendly is NOT the same as confronting a male enemy. The best defense against a male enemy is escape.

And if she had won, then she would have been bragging about it, and the defeated man would have been shamed and ridiculed. Because of that I don't doubt that he breathed a sigh of "relief" after he knocked her out. And why did she agree to this handicapped fight? The problem is that society has been pushing a false narrative, that men and women are the same. Many women have bought into it, and if you disagree then youre just a sexist pig. The reality is that men and women's biology have evolved to perform different functions in this adventure we call life. There are things a man cant do as well as a woman, and vice versa. Women need to accept this. It isnt just about physical traits either. Most women, speaking generally have differing brain chemistry as well. Their capacity for emotional intelligence and empathy is far greater than most mens. Testosterones effect on the brain is well documented. Men take more risks because of it. Children look to their fathers for security, but their mothers for comfort. This is not society telling them to do so. Children can better tell the difference between men and women than most modern feminists. Kinda sad.

I used to be a very average amateur boxer. I fought collegiately back when it was a varsity sport. Few of us college boys were even good enough to compete credibly in Golden Gloves, and fewer were pro prospects. We only had a few legit pro prospects on the entire team and only one later went pro. But I tell you having watched female boxers, I'd have absolutely torn most female pros in my weight class to pieces.

  • @HaileyBaileycb

Yes. As someone who used to fight, and trained with Men, there is no comparison. I frequently was put up against my fiance in sparring sessions, as we belonged to the same weight class. I worked so hard and still had no chance against him in most instances (the one exception was game day when we had a legs only challenge). He was 4 years younger, had smaller and shorter legs than me, but had me by about 6 inches on reach (even though he was only 3 inches taller) and he had wide meat hooks on the end of those arms. He naturally had more power, faster reflexes, and kicked my ass pretty much every time, in spite of the fact that my footwork and technique were superior and my record was better than his. Training against men definitely helped prepare me for fighting well against women, but I can tell you the women I fought against (who had been training for years) was about the equivalent to the average young beginner males I sparred with at the gym and I can promise you those boys were not going full force against me in our sessions (thankfully, because I would have been wrecked).

The reason I use him as an example is I've seen that man fight, 3 times. And while never having trained a day in his life, it wouldnt even be close if they got in a ring, he would hit her once and she would fold. Now in a ring, weight classes exist and that would never happen hes to big. But in the real world, every man you fight isnt gonna be some 140lb out of shapenuntrained soyboy. This isnt a knock on women, I just dont understand where this want to be just as strong as the gender of our species that was biologically designed to be stronger came from, it makes no sense, can a woman become stronger than an average guy? Absolutely. But think of it like a ladder. Womens ladder is just an 8ft. That's as high as it goes. Mens ladder is a 15ft. Males just have the capacity to go higher up the ladder, because genetically there is more ladder to be climbed. Look at gabi Garcia. That's a huge chick yeah? Massive for a female. Probably very strong. What I'd consider the absolute top of the female strength ladder. Now look at guys like Martyn Ford. About 15 years ago I dated a cop who I met when she pulled me over for a brake light out. Good looking blonde, physically in good shape, and she considered herself “well trained” when it came to hand to hand defensive skills.
Several months in I grew to care for her very much and when one of the male cops in her department got severely beaten by a suspect, I asked what would she do if she were in that same situation considering she’s much smaller than the average male cop. She insisted she was confident she could handle herself well against a man.
So I pinned her on the bed and then got her into an arm bar very quickly and with little effort…she struggled before finally giving up and realizing that learning skills and practicing on training dummies is one thing but facing the average man that has 40-80 lbs on her is a totally different story.

@@ivicamajmunskikreten9714 yeah funny story how me met:
She pulled me over for a tail light being out. I’d just come from the local military hangout bar and had had 2 or 3 drinks. I was very confident that at 220 lbs and very fit (at the time) that I’d certainly pass a breathalyzer but being in the military a DUI is devastating to one’s career so I was still a bit nervous. Anyway, she runs my DL, insurance, etc and then comes back my car and says she’s just writing me a ‘fix it’ ticket and that I can bring my car to the (only) local police station and have someone on duty look and verify that I’d gotten it fixed.
Immediately after telling me this, I heard her shoulder mic sound off from dispatch with an urgent call for service. She said “well I gotta go, just get that (taillight) fixed and you won’t have to pay a fine” I then said “I was waiting until after you decided to give me a ticket or not to tell you that although I’ve never dated a cop and don’t know that I’d start now, if I was to date a cop you’d be at the top of the list to ask out”
She blushed and thanked me and then said “when you get the light fixed bring it by the station and I’ll sign off on it”. I caught on quick to what she was saying.
I got my car fixed within a few days but then just forgot about going to the police station. About 2 weeks later I got a call from a local law firm. I thought that was odd as I had no legal dealings going on at the time. The woman on the phone asked me if I’d gotten my ticket taken care and that I needed to “go to the police station and ask for Officer Laurie”. Me being clueless, I asked her why a law office was calling me about a minor traffic infraction. She said “oh for crying out loud, that officer wants you to ask her out but due to office rules she can’t contact you personally for that reason after pulling you over as cops have gotten in trouble using a driver’s personal info to contact them for dating, etc”.
I laughed and thanked her and then took my car over the next day. We ended up dating for almost a year. As an added benefit, I had no problems getting out of any speeding tickets while I was dating her and I sped a lot!
She was smoking hot but she did not take things well when I broke up with her. The hot ones are always a bit crazy and she was no exception.

In the collegeI was an amateur boxer, and one day came to the gym a professional national female champion, for some sparring training, so her team choice me and an other two guys for that. The first guy almost no move during the round, I think that he was afraid to punch her, and he received a couple hits in the nose that make him bleed. So for the next round was my turn, and I was a little bit scared, after all she was a professional national champion, then the fight started, and I decided to defend myself as much as I could. For my surprised, I had her against the ropes, I delivered two hooks in her face one after the other. I remember her face in that moment, she looked at me really scared, and she started crying, and also started to throw punches as a crazy, without control or technic. I keeped moving forwards the rest of the combat, and I tried to not hit her any more in her face, I just delivered a couple "soft" hits (at least for me) more in her torso, and even that was to hard for her, cuz at the end of the round she throw up... at the end the third guy didn't fight because she was too mess up for keep on... Not only did it drastically change the dynamics of the team concept in the field, the subsequent "alteration" to physical requirements deteriorated the overall morale of the force. When are not suited for combat in ANY role and should not be placed in those situations for the safety of the majority of the force members. I tried to explain this to a woman the other day. We men hold back, nearly always... even in fights with other men. Women don't know what a man is capable of, because they haven't seen us really let loose. That generally only happens when we fear for our lives, because then we are capable of killing someone even with our bare hands. But obviously the situation has to be dire before we go that far. I was explaining to her, and she refused to listen, that under those conditions, few women would ever stand a chance to win a fight against any man, even a below average one. She explained that she saw men in domestic abuse situations hitting a woman and the woman successfully fending off the abuser. I explained to her that the explanation for that is obvious. An abuser knows what he is doing is wrong and, in most cases, is not strongly motivated. A person can lose a fight for lack of motivation, especially if they are not afraid for their life and are more focused on their fear of losing their freedom (i.e. prison). Most guys would rather take a beating than go to prison.

I taught martial arts for nearly 12 years, mostly to beginners but also working with adults. Our city had had a rash of sexual assaults at and near our downtown hospital and it was decided that the hospital would pay to have any nurses, therapists, etc., who wanted to take self-defense training from our school. Two of us at the dojo were "nominated" to train these folks and initially we had something like 22 men and women come in for the first lesson. After that first lesson, all five of the men dropped out, mainly because we spent most of our time arguing with the female nurses but also because the men felt they had enough life experience to defend themselves. Now, we had worked up some scenarios to demonstrate the techniques and each and every one was met with scoffs and "as if that would happen". If we successfully demo'd a technique, usually showing how easy it was to overpower a woman, we were accused of being too rough. Honestly, I was ready to give up. They simply refused to listen to a man tell them how to defend themselves against...a man. Several weeks after we'd ended the classes, mostly for poor attendance, one of the older RN's was attacked in the hospital parking lot and although not raped, she was beat up over her purse (which contained $22). She had been the most vocal of the nurses in our classes, sort of their leader, and although she survived the assault with relatively minor physical injuries, the mental injuries remained. She came by the school one Saturday morning to talk to a group of high school girls who were taking self defense classes and her main topic was "if you believe this can never happen to you; if you are arrogant to believe that you are somehow above violence, let me tell you my story". Those young women sure paid attention after that.

I finally threw a hard 1-2 combo on her chest and she crumpled on the ground and accused me of domestic violence etc... I told her “well if you were a boy I’d be smashing your face against the pavement so be glad"
She was the biggest girl and I was the smallest boy, but when it got serious, 2 punches put her out of commission. When I was 12 my Dad taught me a throat punch that dropped most bullies instantly, where I could run or pummel them on the ground. That's why I mentioned hitting the girl in the CHEST; if it were a boy that would have been on the THROAT. You simply have to adapt your ouput, power and intensity based on who you are sparring with. If it's a girl I take it more easy and focus more on technique rather than power.
