I love that a lot of the time I don't know what you are making until it is completed! I don't read the description ahead of time because I like to be surprised. Nice piece!
I need one of these! As the years pass by the bending down gets as difficult. Now you have given me something to do on the lathe. Thanks David, great work!
LoL. I read the comments about a shoe horn and was boggled figuring out how that would be turned. Anyway, I enjoy the different molds you have been creating to reduce the amount of resin you use.
Question - Why start with a 4”square block when you’re going to grind it down to a 1” or 2” piece? It seems to me like such a big waste of wood and epoxy. Why not just start with a 2-1/2” square block?
I didn't read your description before watching the video and had no idea which direction you were going. Is it a rolling pin, policeman's baton? Did not expect the shoehorn. Excellent job.
For a shoehorn? Not in a million years. A rolling pin or a small novelty baseball bat woulda been more practical. Like how the wood an resin came out but the shoehorn part ruined it.
@@pastmasters9591 Whoa! the question was asked, I replied with my opinion. I do appreciate the work and design, very much so! Clearly YOU think everybody must have YOUR opinion🤷♂
Here in the USA a majority of us don't use shoe horns. I completely understand the value of craftsmanship and time put into a project. However if I were someone who used a shoe horn I wouldn't spend $500 on one even handmade.
It is strange how things become valuable. For example a flat piece of art to hang on a wall is more expensive than an exactly the same piece of art painted on a silk scarf. People will pay £1000s of for a sculpture that just sits there looking pretty but not if it is a coat rack or hat stand…. We value useless objects more than practical ones…. Why?

Всё, что угодно мог предположить в качестве конечного результата... Но рожок для обуви!!! 😀😇 Вот это фантазия у Вас, Дэвид!!!

Yes. That shoe horn does worth $500. Exquisite work.
We are in the UK, its pound sterling here. No idea why he has these prices in dollars.
Лучший ваш проект! Мне он понравился больше всего. Из никому не нужного кусочка дерева сделали прелесть.
You are very clever! Lovely work.
That's a very bouji shoe horn - perfect for any influencer! 😄👍

Lovely work 👏🏻❤️
I thought you were making a beer tap handle. Very nice.
Great shoe horn David.

Классно получилось!!! 👍👍👍
Definitely worth $500! 👌 🤟

I’m sorry but until that show horn went on I thought this was something else completely.
bravo!!! 👏👏
Beautiful :D

Drill the hole before you turn the handle, and the hole will be centered. Didn't see a shoe horn coming
Something a bit different. Well done.
Hmm, $500...sorry, but no. It IS lovely, really lovely, but not $500 lovely.
How do you think artists make a living? You must have an appreciation for the artwork. Which clearly you do not

@@chrischambers5466 however I do agree with you on this particular piece. I don't think I'd pay over $150 for a shoehorn of any sort 👍🏻

Why are the prices on this channel in dollars ? You are in the UK.
Very simple answer, nearly 50% of my viewers in the states versus only 7-8% UK
Ummm nope. What a lot of work something so-- well you get the picture.😊
What do you charge for it and what does someone pay for it? That’s what it’s worth
原来全世界都在用鞋拔子啊😂
Looks good but ~100 dollars tops.

“Is it worth $500?”
Is that an 19th century gynecologist tool used to cure female hysteria???🤣🤣🤣
