- A 4-minute uptempo jam for the first video of 2024! 🎉 May all your wishes come true this year!
The Arturia Keystep Pro (KSP) is sequencing:
- the PADS played by the Waldorf M through the Elektron Analog Heat MkII (using mainly its analog filter modulated by one of its LFO) + Rooms reverb + Pill ducking pedal (triggered by the kick from the TR-6S).
- the BASS played by the Moog Minitaur. I used the "Chain" patterns of the KSP to make a long bass line.
The DRUMS are being sequenced/played by the Roland TR-6S (I used its onboard filter on the master BUS for the builds).
And the LEAD sound played in real time on the Roland S-1 synth, through the Red Panda Particle 2 granular delay.
* Hardware used *
// PADS:
- Waldorf M (8-voice hybrid digital and analog wavetable) + Elektron Analog Heat Mk2 (stereo analog sound processor) + Death by Audio Rooms reverb + Pill Pedal (ducking pedal, triggered by the kick from the TR-6S)
• M (Waldorf)
// DRUMS:
- Roland TR-6S (6-track, digital drum machine)
• TR-6S (Roland)
// BASS:
- Moog Minitaur
• Minitaur (Moog)
// LEAD:

@2-Minute Warning. Видеоклипы
Happy New Year! 4 minutes of awesomeness. Looking forward to more great jams in 2024.
Thanks a lot Patrick 🤗 Hope I'll be able to maintain the pace (nearly 3 years and a half now that I created the channel 😅)
@@2MinuteWarning that's amazing! Thank you for the continued inspiration!
ALWAYS Worth waiting for 🤤🤤😋
SUBLIME Track my friend , Just Wonderful uplifting Harmonics & That smooth Bouncing Bassline just makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up !!! 😊😊😉
Thank you !!! Jaffa j
Thanks a lot Jaffa, really happy you enjoyed this first uplifting track of the year! 🥰
I can see why your Tracks take so long to make with all the skill involved in morphing the sound of each instrement throughout the track !!! 🤯🤯🤤 i was working on a tune last week that took 3 days of recording as the same process was needed but eventually had to shelve it as i was never happy with the result as it would have taken at least another 10 days of Practice to keep my concentration throughout the 5 mins & catering to all the synths , This is a testement to your skill & Dedication in creating the perfect finished article . Serious Respect to you & your patience as i find it very hard to not release something at least every 8 days !!!! 😉👍jaffa
Hey thanks for your kind and encouraging words my friend 🤗 I think that you must probably be a musician/producer to understand indeed how much time, practice and energy are needed to be able to make what we do 😅 Good luck on your future releases, your patience will pay off 💪
Très catchy pour bien démarrer 2024 ! Merci
Merci beaucoup, content que ce premier morceau de l'année t'ait plu! 🤗
That was an inspiring little tune. Nice work man. I like your little explanations
Thanks for your nice feedback Adam! 🙏😃
Lovely mate. Happy New Year!
Thank you Reginald for your feedback and wishes! 🤗
L'année commence bien ;-))) This begs for an extended (re)mix
Haha thanks 🙏 (à toi de jouer pour le (re)mix ? 😅)
Love it. ❤🎉 A cheery and bouncy start to the year! Literally started dancing with this little shaker. It's a music party. 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much for your nice words Joe! 🤗 It's funny that you raised the shakers as it was actually the main part I was thinking about while making the drum part! Meeting of the minds? 😊
Man, this is amazing 👏🏻
Thanks! 😃 Do you play electronic music too?
@@2MinuteWarning hey, I do, but not DAWless like you hehe 😁 but it would be nice to in some future
That's cool! Actually I use both and even had a period when I was playing with a DAW only 😅 But for the 2-Minute Warning project, I mainly wanted to focus on hardware 😉
@@2MinuteWarning Yeah, both serve their purposes. But the performance is still a special experience
I can't say otherwise 😉
SO good. Happy New Year!
So glad you enjoyed it James! 🤗
Love it! What a great way to ring in the new year!
I recently added a Minitaur myself; what a low-end presence it has!
as always, looking forward to your content this year!
Thanks for your kind words Pete! 🤗 For sure the Minitaur is a beast at playing big fat bass sounds 🤩 In this video however I wanted to explore more its "hard sync" feature (added in v2.2) which widens the sound palette of the Minitaur with more metallic/edgy touch if needed!
YOUR Videos are just So inspirational... ........ REALLY Need to Start useing my other synths like the ,, PEAK , Minilogue xd , NTS-1
& Odessy ..... ive SOOooh much brilliant music recorded on Tascam with these synths But no vids ..
Thanks my friend 🙏 If you don't have the time to film and record the tracks, maybe you could post them somewhere like Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc.?
AWESOME! 👍👍👍
Thanks mate! 🙏
Incredibly great!!
Thanks biloZone! 😃
love it!
Appreciate the feedback Roger, thanks! 🙏😃
Nice to hear that great sound, and ready to move 🎉👏
Thanks my friend, glad you enjoyed this uptempo track opening the new year on this channel! 🙏😀
Спасибо. Замечательный супер трек!❤
Thanks for your nice comment! 😃
😮😮🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks synth mate! 🙏😃
DawM ... This is TOoo GooD ,, I Might just try to sell my SeO2 IN exchange for a Minitaur as every time i hear it , i YEARN For oNE
Ohhhh I clearly see how you feel as I had the same dilemma (but finally shamefully kept both 😅)! The SE02 can be more versatile (thanks to its 3 oscillators, cross mod, sync etc.). It also has a sequencer contrary to the Minitaur (but I must confess that I don't use it very often 😊). The Minitaur also has a limited noterange - can't play higher notes than C4 - that's why Moog made the Sirin I think. However the Minitaur's really has its own sound 🤩 It's VST editor is very cool and powerful too used in a DAW (contrary to the SE-02's one which you must buy in addition and which workflow is a real nightmare!)
OOooH DuDe !!! 😫😫😖 Now im even More Divided !!! I SWORE Id stop Buying Bass Synths as ive So Many & really want to Slimline my setup !!!😮😢😢🤔🧐jaffa
@@barryjefferies-nv9ek You don't really need a Minitaur (don't want to increase your GAS )😅
🤔😉👍😊
@@barryjefferies-nv9ek 😁
Awesome live 🎉 I have a dumb question how do you connect all devices? 😢 How are they recorded? 😮
I've purchased a Roland Tr-6S but I don't how to connect with another devices... Sorry I am a newbie to dawless. 😂
Do you have some video explaining how to sync each device? 😅
Thanks 🎉
MIDI is used to keep them in tempo sync
Usually something like the TR6S would be considered a sync master and other devices are slaved to it
If you are you using a daw to record device audio, you would set all devices as midi slaves to the daw.
What other devices have you got?
Do you have a computer with a daw?
@@PuRe_AdDicT thanks man for the kind reply. Yes, I have Ableton live as DAW. Also I have an Akai Mpk mini plus keyboard to create chords and melodies.
Another dumb question, if TR-6S will be the master device then I will need setup some configuration before to connect to the keyboard? 😂 Thanks in advance.
@@douglasfugazi Because you use a daw, Ableton is MIDI master and your TR6S should be set to follow the tempo of Ableton.
Roland have created a TR6S Ableton Live Guide for this it’s easily found in Google.
What audio interface do you have? You need a way to record/monitor the audio from tr6s in Ableton.
@@PuRe_AdDicT thank you again. I have a Focusrite as Audio interface. I will take a look at TR-6S Ableton guide to learn more.
Thanks Douglas, glad you enjoyed it! 😃🙏 And thanks to Paul too for his replies which I uphold 👍 As Paul recommended, if you are using a DAW (which is also my case to record all my sound sources = synths + effects), you can set your DAW as the Master Clock and your instruments as the slave.
On your TR-6S, go to:
Utility > SYNC/TEMPO > TempoSync=AUTO and
Utility > SYNC/TEMPO > RxStartStop=ON (if you want the TR-6S's sequencer to start when you hit play on your DAW)
In Ableton Live, go to:
Options > Preferences > Link Tempo MIDI > Out:TR-6S > Track=Ticked and Sync=Ticked
However, if you want to go 100% DAWLESS, then you'll have to choose which instrument you want to be the master clock, and then use MIDI cables to connect its MIDI OUT to your slaved instruments MIDI IN.
Hope it will help! 😉
beautiful ... 4 mins went so fast ... and that's a punchy bass alright! ..
Hey thanks Atheer Hanna! Glad you liked the bass sound (I used the Minitaur's "HARD SYNC" feature here which adds this metallic / sharp part 😉)
