Atlanta rapper J.I.D. dropped his debut album 'The Never Story' and set the internet on fire. After signing with J. Cole's Dreamville Records, J.I.D. started buzzing. In spite of what you may have seen on Noisey's documentaries on Atlanta hip hop, the city has a different sound than what is typically advertised or promoted. The East Atlanta rapper brings something different and refreshing to the city but how does it measure up with us? Take a listen to our album review of J.I.D.'s 'The Never Story' and let us know what you think in the comment section.

  • @PulseTrip

Watching this again, I totally agree with Feefo. He sounds like Wayne. Has the same cadence. Just because Wayne sounded overtly Southern doesn't mean JID has to sound overtly southern. Look at A$AP Rocky - he doesn't sound like he's really from H-town on any songs anymore, unless they sample or feature someone from there. I'm not tryna make the same cadence argument with Rocky, but do you get what I mean?
