Muy bueno y disfrutando los hermosos paisajes que recorren. Felicitaciones y un abrazo de Argentina.
Sorry English please
Video reminds me why we called them Pop cars,
Yes the two stroke cars especially
I want to do this so bad, I am a BIG time rail fan.
Look at the website NARCOA.org for future trips that look interested in and contact the coordinator for the trip and ask them if they can find you a seat on the trip. The trips will start being added to the website starting around middle of
February 2023
@@16grrr Thank you very kindly
Красивая линия на фоне природы!
Thanks
I watched a couple of other railway cart videos , and by comparison, your railway cart is like the Rolls Royce of railway carts , well done sir !
And a great ride through the scenic country too 👍.
Thanks for posting .
Thanks I post the videos so if one of another operator can see what the trip is like before signing up for the trips and for the folks that are not in our group can also see what we do for fun
excelente video , saludos desde Monterrey Mexico.
Thanks for your comment
Watching videos like this give me a scary vibe. I think every bend and turn even up or down OW NO THE BigBoy is coming at you !! :O
That’s not possible we’re on the tracks on the weekend and the railroad has no trains running. We all ways have a railroad employee on the point for safe trips thanks for the comment
@@16grrr Okay stay safe :). Thanks for the videos !.
Nice to know where this is.
Ithaca NY south of Syracuse NY in the eastern finger lakes area
Goooood
Thanks for watching
So there are a modest number of speeders available to ride in the spring, summer and the fall.
Check out NARCOA .org website for trips that you are interested and contact the trip coordinator to see if they can find you a seat for that trip
they still run salt and coal on that route?
Just salt the power plant closed about three years ago
Is it a totally abandoned railroad (I mean : except this touristic using) ?
No active railroad there is a salt mine at the north end it’s called Ithaca Central Railroad it use to have a coal power station on the north end but it closed about 6 years ago
@@16grrr Thank you for your answer. This line seems still in good condition. Greeting.
Yep it use to be a NS Railroad branch and in the early days it was the Lehigh Valley Auburn branch
Is this an abandoned railroad because usually have are abandoned that usually rip out the crossing Gates and I saw Gates that they went by actual gateswood lights bells and actual arm but they obviously didn't go down when they approached
No is active railroad called Ithaca Central Railroad the biggest customer is salt mine at the north end in the town of Millikan NY on the east shore of Cayuga Lake in the eastern finger lakes region of central NY. The runs south to Waverly NY to interchange with NS Railroad
@@16grrr just curious do you know how many locomotives they own and what they are just curious I'm a big fan of older EMDS
@@16grrr it's just nowadays it's all you're seeing is dash-9 variance of locomotive everywhere you go it's just that it's the same old locomotive just a different paint scheme. I miss the SD40 the sd38 sd60 gp60s gp40 gp38 C40s GP9 these were the workhorses that I miss and they're getting more scarce every year that goes by. Unfortunately
I’m not sure of count but I would say 6 or 8 EMD SD45 body but only 3000. hp
Yep I’m the same I like the 1st and second generation diesel give me a U boat or a Alco
