    Tony, when you were camping with our aboriginal brothers and sisters, what was in your believed or wanted to achieving? Can you share with us. As for me, it must’ve been something that the political’s left did not want or threatened by that, so much so they moved into your party to removed you.

      Real men, lol, that’s soo funny, what are real men? Don’t you mean any people, regardless of their gender who will stand by their convictions and work for the people rather than the corporates or their own selfish interests. That definitely rules out the likes of Tony Abbot and frankly anyone who ever was an upper level member of the LNP.

    In 1994 Australia Day officially became a country wide event. Now for me, that was only yesterday, as my third son was born that year and my grandfather who fought in WW1 died that year. I wonder, did Woolworths provide flags and so forth in their shops before the above date, for each regional event? I cannot remember, but how did this event become a nation wide event in 94? Who suggested it?

    They’re not the first Australians, they’re indigenous Australians. And even that is debatable considering people existed here before Aboriginals got here. Papuan pigmy’s who were pushed out to Papua New Guinea by invading Indians who became Australian Aboriginals.

    • @peterbluesman
      @peterbluesman 4 месяца назад

      It’s irrelevant, the Australian Aboriginals were the ones living on the land when the whites invaded. Doesn’t matter who was here a million years beforehand, they were long gone😂. Same argument the Israelis try to use about the Israelites, doesn’t matter ,they were also long gone in 1948😂

    Quick summary for those who can’t quite bear 26 and a half minutes of Tony’s Australia: How dare ordinary Australians, corporate Australians or sporting Australians disagree with me that January 26th is the best day for us to celebrate our national day.
    A couple of other quick points:
    *no Australians believe an IPA in-house survey about the date for Au Day
    *it is activists (despised by Tony and the IPA) that have achieved all of the changes that have made us a more civil society - from the Eureka Stockade rebellion to voting rights for women and indigenous people to rights for workers and so much more, the changes brought about by activism have improved our society
    *here’s a couple of suggestions the Au Day date that these two missed - May 8 (Maaate!) or May 9 (The opening of the provisional Parliament House)
    *I have to disagree with Tony that the rest of the world is very confused by the fact that we angst over celebrating our national day on a date when boatloads of convicts sailed into Port Jackson and claimed a land inhabited by about one million indigenous people for the Queen of England, setting up many decades of frontier wars and indigenous slaughter.
    *it seems a little contradictory for the IPA host to assume he has very accurate knowledge about the “values of ordinary Australians” and that we need to call out corporates making social stands, when we know for a fact that Australians support reforms for example to make our communities less addicted and our environment healthier, but the fossil fuels, tobacco and gambling industries have built massive political power to block sensible regulation and we don’t hear a peep from the IPA about controlling the influence of these corporates.
    *the 90% of Australians that benefit from the newly designed tax cuts that suit our current circumstances are very happy. Keeping the magnitude of the cuts but distributing them more fairly
