@@NordoNyle totaly wrong, landing should never be a stall as landing speed is higher than stall speed. If you really stall during the flare that can lead to a very hard landing. The autothrust system keeps the approach speed until thrust levers are retarded at 20f or earlier - some pilots allready retard at 30-40 feet.
@@NordoNyle In a light airplane under smooth conditions you touchdown as you approach stall speed and begin to run out of elevator. Not so in transports. Slow touchdowns, even well above Vs0 (also called VSRO), will result in a tailstrike. Depending on the jet, most approaches are flown at 1.3 x Vs0 +5. 100 kt stall speed = 135 kt Vapp. You aim to lose no more than 10 kts in the roundout and flare so touchdown at 125 kts. Wind additives increase Vapp. At Delta we add half of the steady state above 10 kts and all of the gust. Winds at 20kts gusting to 30 kts would result in Vapp of 150- that's 5 for half of the steady state and 10 for the gust. Before descent into a windy short runway you alert the dispatcher to keep an eye on the winds to help the crew with landing limits especially if the runway is slippery.
@@NordoNyle You're crazy if you get close to stall speed in a big plane you'll need to pitch up around 10° and more to keep the plane flying, you wont see the runway anymore and can lead to a tailstrike or going off the runway. The Flare is meant to put the plane at around 2 or 3° pitch up so the main gear will touch the ground before the nose gear, if you get close to stall speed you will smash the plane on the ground if you only pitch up 2/3°
I love flying through the clouds because it's amazing to see above them and under them. The view outside these windows are amazing and beautiful. Beautiful A350 and an awesome landing on a beautiful day. This plane is quiet but sounds amazing from what you can hear during that landing. I did skip about 25 to 30 seconds of the taxing until I saw other amazing planes outside. Overall, The view outside is just beautiful and one place I wouldn't mind visiting. Awesome video, I love it.

you had to love the rudder action ..... really great view for seeing how he kept that center line.
Glad you enjoyed it Sam!

That flare was super long
Yh
For a smooth landing
fg not if you know you will sufficient runway to stop.
I agree. I would have pulled full reverse.
Yea got high on the approach but just moved his aim point rather than chase the tdz I guess
@@tanshaomala I assume you also have an ATPL and are type rated on the A350?😅
2:51 never heard that callout before...
Very proud about our mauritian pilot great deal with the wind drop guyz ❤👍
Nice video !
good to see you park beside the A380 :D
When can we start travelling to Mauritius? And is there a quarantine when we get there?
U will have to do 2 weeks but when you’re out, there will be 0 local COVID cases👍
Do they let you set up a go pro in the cockpit?
Buenos días, excelente inicio de semana laboral y excelente vuelo
Igual para ti :)
Gracias Gabriela
Super Video
The fly-by-wire system looks like a lot of fun to operate.
Drooling over those lcd’s
I really like that view, I realize you can't see the instruments as well, but I like the scenery.

330 callout?
I love a350
Its a cool/great plane for sure
Was this a repatriation flight??
No, it's just a normal flight 😁
"330 feet and 4 inches and .02 centimeters and .01 millimeters."
lmao i was wondering too
If you listen closely you could hear the flaps go back up again
Like if you heard it.
nice graphics fs2020
Real life bro😂
@@vamanlobine9160 no shit sherlock
getting kinda tired of these, ngl
Were me nappy gone?
If you are Mauritian and you heard you, clap your hands..
Not a pilot by any stretch, but didn’t he come in too high? It seemed so and also the papis were three whites..
Generic Username the angle you’re seeing the PAPIs from is lower than the pilot’s perspective
I'm a pilot, the flare looked a little long. I wouldn't go-around from that, but I would definitely use full reverse.
you can see the PFD he was right on the Glide all the time . but that flare was a bit too heavy which causes the float
Touch down is too late.
These pilots are not allowed to enter the gate without agents there that’s a violation they can both get in trouble or fired for that
Плохо, что не показали пилотов! Нам интересно, кто сидит за «рулём»!
Romeo
You need some really cool nerves to be a pilot. I'd die of a panic attack just thinking that the lives of everyone are on my sorry ass!
Kita tak penah stress dgn keja... tapi stress dgn org sekeliling.. lebih baik keja sendiri je, sendiri la bos, sendiri la kuli...
Greenery everywhere.. just like some indian states ❤️😊
Too high for too long.

But it's automatic landing on a Airbus not sure what you're trying to do umm
There is option for that..Doesn't mean they use it always...Those landings are only done when visibility is very low
Even boeing has that options

Absolutely terrible, unsafe landing. Behind markings. Should be go-around initiated.
