- Palestine is being pulverized while the world watches. Images of our brothers and sisters, most of them children, are flooding our circles, and though we’re sharing them incessantly amidst censorship, pushback, and lies, it feels like shouting into a void. There is collective pain in our global ummah on many levels.
How do we deal with the trauma we are witnessing through our screens? How do we cope with feelings of powerlessness, despair, and anguish? How do we cope with the loss of loved ones due to genocide? How can we be courageous and continue to support and lend voice to the oppressed even when the whole world is against us? How can we speak truth to power within our means, especially in the face of threats to our livelihood?

I feel guilty just living comfortably while my Muslim brothers and Sisters and little babies dying … Allah have mercy on them and free them from the oppressors ..
Same feeling. I had never felt so blessed to see food on my table and live in the safety of my house than now. But yet the most guilty feeling, crying seeing the people in Palestine not only having anything to eat, shelter, safety and no assurance to live another day and I cannot even share what I have to them. I only have my dua I can offer. May Allah save our brothers and sisters of Palestine. May the oppressors feel the pain of hellfire here on earth and evenmore so on their afterlife.

I live in Egypt, close to Gaza, which feels worse because I’m so close to them and I can’t do anything. The suffering and genocide next door to me, it’s as if I could hear their screams. One thing is certain...this conflict and other traumas to the Muslim ummah have made my iman 10x stronger. My connection to my religion is stronger than before...my drive n motivation to put this love for Islam in my small children has become strong. The more the oppressors pound on our brother n sisters the more my iman becomes unwavering. I applaud the courage and imaan the tawakkul of my Palestinian brothers n sisters - may they n us be enveloped in Allah's mercy n love. Amen

Thank you for this, it’s been an extremely difficult time and this has been a source of tremendous wisdom and comfort. May Allah have mercy and reward you for your efforts.
One of the most profound things for me was seeing a map a couple of days ago of the loss of Palestinian land since 1946. I think that map needs to be constantly shown everywhere so that people can be constantly reminded of who the criminal is here.
Sadly, we all know who is the criminal. But the West have remained silent and become complicit in Israel’s atrocities. Israel is arrogant in its actions to continue slide up Palestine, because the West remains silent…and sadly also the governments of our rich Muslim countries.
I deeply appreciate your profound contributions to educate and uplift us. These discussions are so vital for us being able to understand, cope and deal with the falsehoods, bigotry and fascism in a proper way.

Wow so enlightening. Ive spent my whole life attempting to define, and then redefine what feelings mean to me. Learned as I've gotten older that my feelings seems to come from my inner broken feelings. My spirit just soaks up the hurt, grief & suffering, almost like I'm collecting the traces left in the air.. And we need air to live so they coexist in this process making that a connection to these Injustices. Lacking knowledge of suppressed emotions can quickly fuel the anger & not in a responsible way.

I can’t hold back my tears listening to these n reflecting on the unimaginable sufferings n torture inflicted onto these innocent people.
In consolation, the Gazans r the selected ones, tested within their limits, n subhanallah how Allah knows how strong their faith n taqwa is. They won the greatest place in paradise, sthg eternal. That is the thg that consoles me. That there is a greater reward awaiting them. And we need to be stronger for them. To accept Qadar Allah with gratitude, to manage our grief n anger n do more gd n stay optimistic. Never reduce ourselves to the levels of the oppressors. And we win too. Only the believers will understand this. Alhamdulillah.
