Bless you for saving this baby's life. Without you ridding it of all those blood sucking ticks, it would not have the energy to feed and fend for itself. Great job. God bless you.
@@jodiemeeks2988I had an African hedgehog as a pet a long time ago. They were imported as pets from mostly Nigeria in the 1980s and 90s. People have bred them to be more friendly and cuddly, but they're definitely not for everyone. Mine was a precious little spikebaby ❤🦔
I'm sorry, but I know nothing about hedgehogs. The only thing I know about them is that they look painful to touch, but they are cute and harmless, I guess! 🤔 God bless you for removing those tormenting ticks and also for having the patience to do it!👌👍 It's amazing how you are able to find them, so tiny! 😬 That could be a pet peeve of mine! 🤔😬
Great job removing all those ticks, I bet it felt great for the hoggy afterwards. I'll be having a go at this later on myself as I've just taken in a small hoggy with the same problem. Wish me luck!
Members of the public should not be picking up hedgehogs from the garden to remove ticks! If the hedgehog has a lot of ticks, is sick or injured take it to a rescue as they are complex creatures with complex needs. If it is otherwise healthy and only has 1 or 2 leave it alone. A high tick burden is often an indicator of underlying health issues so needs a proper assessment which includes faecal samples by a rescue.
This is a wild hedgehog not a pet. The hog was out in evening daylight which indicated it wasn’t doing too well. When it was checked it was seen to have a heavy infection of ticks. In response to your other question.... I believe hedgehogs pick up ticks when they are quite young and move slower than adults, this being a young hog. Older hogs still get ticks but are able to rid themselves of the ticks on occasions but generally move too quick for heavy tick infestation

Tôi nghiệp bé nhím quá. Cảm ơn bạn đã bắt ve cho bé nhím
Also how did you let your hedgehog get to this point. Dont you routinely check on its health and clean him/her.
