At this point if the Falcons don't win the nfc it's a failure. They missed playoffs by one game last year with Ridder at qb. I'd expect to see Kirk and offseason pieces to elevate this team to a superbowl run this year.

I'm VERY interested in what Spencer Rattler could do. I definitely he think he needs time to learn though, so I'd be fine if he sat a whole season. But I understand where you're coming from in wanting to move on sooner rather than later.
The Bucs barely won the division last year and they have the same team. The only thing the Falcons needed last year was a QB and they have more than addressed that problem. Also their defense just got a lot better and they had the number 1 rushing defense in the NFL last year and the number 2 goal line defense which hasn't changed much. Now their secondary is quite possibly the best in the NFC with Grady Jarret back and the additions of Matthew Judon and Justin Simmons. If Kirk stays healthy they are looking at 12-13 wins this season maybe more. The Falcons will most likley sweep the entire NFC South this year. If they lose any of those games it might be one to the Bucs. The Bucs aren't a bad team, but they don't have anywhere near the number of playmakers that the Falcons have this season and Mayfield is not a top 10 QB where as Kirk was ranked 3rd last year and in the hunt for MVP behind a terrible O-line before his injury. Now he's behind the 3rd ranked O-line in the league. You may be a Bucs fan, but come on you gotta be realistic here and look at the big picture. I'm a die hard Falcons fan and last year even I could admit they weren't winning the division because of the terrible QB play from Ridder. Anyway good luck to your Bucs because they are going to need it against the Falcons this year.
