I recently wrote this song out of disbelief and discouragement in the direction that we are heading as a nation. It seems like there is no end to the corruption and lies that we endure at the highest levels.
There is a narrative that we are fed every single day to distract us from the bad things that are really going on. We are manipulated by the media and by our leaders.
It seems to me that many freedoms hang in the balance, and likely could vanish with a single heartbeat. I worry that the country I grew up learning to cherish and appreciate is on the ropes and in need of serious intervention.
Special thanks to my friends who let me bounce this song off of them, and offered amazing advice as the project came together. And special thanks to my great friend Gary Turner who was gracious enough to put down a killer drum track for this tune. I hope you enjoy, and I hope we all open our eyes to this world.
