First, this is an amazing remake. 2nd - as a person of age - who remembers this song when it it the radio. It was an instant like. Your version and perhaps time - has allowed me to hear it fresh. Your stripped down version - without the horns etc ... makes me see what a well written song this was ... the lyrics are outstanding. Well Done.
Sounds like OMC - how bizarre. It came out in 1995, I was 23 years old… I’m 51 now in 2024. Look it up… OMC How Bizarre. You’ll be thankful. The original talent behind this song died young, but left us with some amazing songs. Enjoy!
I'm sorry I really wanted to like this but it has none of the joie de vivre of the original or any of the groove. But the real killer is that it looks like it is sponsored by a tobacco company. Smoking has never been cool despite those 50's posters.

I love you Reb, thanks for being so authentic and unwavering in your creativity
This combines my love for the sound of Reb Fountain with my nostalgia for the "90s and is a 12/10.
Singing this song at the end of June at a friend's event; this just inspired the hell out of me
🚬😎🎸 What an epic version.
❤️❤️❤️
Wow!!! Just wow!!!! 😯
This is sick. Your voice sounds great and I dig the jacket, the shades and the cig. ♥
Lou Reb
Beautiful version. 😎
Her voice is so clear and in a strange way makes me understand the original more.
Awesome cover version 👏👏👏
RIP Pauly Faumana
Yes cool wow
Reminds me of Last Great American Whale. Beautiful
PRECISELY where I was going to, and yep. Gorgeous.

It's a 1995 song by OMC, a New Zealand group.
That was the feel they wanted when OMC made this back in 95'. They were asked to make a "Lou Reedy type song, make it song like a Lou Reed song".
nice work!
Song was written and sung originally by a kiwi (New Zealander) 1980s
Paulie would be proud
OMC! For sure proud!
You go, Reb! 💫
OMC How Bizarre. Have a listen to the original.
Ive been listening to you since that mashup you did with Amanda Palmer. You have a beautiful and powerful voice. Keep it up!
What a sweet sound……
God this is so cool.
👀🐇🙏🥰
so Velvet Underground!
Superb cover 💫
Cool
"Out here in the fields"
Love this, but there's too much cigarette smoking so I can't show the video to my kids in class.
Show them the original version - OMC how bizarre.
@@rickm3779 this is a nice interpretation of Pauly's song.
Whys the cover better?
It's isn't. This is just a great rendition of a great song
Lou would be proud
Sounds like a female Lou Reed

But Winston Peters said it was cool again and goes down well with a gambling addiction!
Very strange cover
Brilliant Version .... but ....make a new video . This doesn't fit.
Spiritually or contextually
I thought this was the original ruclips.net/video/az-Op_d2V3s/видео.htmlsi=qYuEJDsMq4RerZbt
Disgusting. Rip Pauly, don't deserve this
Nah, I think my brother would have enjoyed this...
Even the tired cliche ciggy?
