You know what Steve that was one of your best and it really did turn out a great social overnighter especially with the breakfast to finish off with. Thanks for another great trip and company. 👌👍
Cheers Dave, the thanks should really go to yourself for showing me new sights and for guiding me across Kinder... and also, for putting up with my slow walking. 🙂 I always enjoy your company Dave, and you're a great person to go camping with. Thanks mate.
It was mate, I felt humbled by the company. Whereas on my own, I'd be checking the GPS every few hundred yards, on this trip all I had to do was follow Dave and Andy.👍
Excellent trip Steve. I've been looking forward to yours and Dave's vids for this trip popping up. In Kinder Gates and Fairbrook Naze you visited two of my favourite Kinder locations. And, a bonus Andy Beavers meet up 🙂! ATB, Chris
Thanks Chris (and it's also good to see that the commenting issue now seems to be resolved 👍). There was some stunning scenery through Kinder Gate and then on over to Fairbrook, and I was amazed at how short the journey was, when compared to previous routes that I'd taken to Fairbrook. Dave was my guide and his knowledge of the area gave me 100% confidence on this trip, all that I had to do was simply follow him (I don't think that we ever got the map out). It was also good to meet Andy, and I was grateful to him for leading us back over the 7 minute crossing the next day. Cheers for watching Chris.
"We're gonna go and see Andy beavers and take some beer with us and see if he wants a drink 😊.. BRILLIANT Stuff Steve! Carry on doing what you do buddy! 👏👏👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for watching Bruce. People sometimes ask me if I ever get bored with the Peak District, and do I ever consider going to a different part of the country. To be honest, the answer is no. There are so many locations in the Peaks that I want to visit, and so many places that I want to re-visit, that I don't think that I could ever get bored with the Peak District. 👍
Cool video, just come across your channel and have subbed, looking forward to watching more of your videos, once my health improves, I'll be back up the peaks, good health and safe travels, cheers craig
Thanks for watching Craig, and for taking the time to comment & feedback. Also, thanks for the subscription, I really appreciate it. Wishing you a speedy recovery mate.
Uploading my latest adventure in Shropshire Hills (Never been there before), and while waiting, I knew I had the treat of having time to watch your latest adventure. Hengist bloody brilliant m8; I personally not one for company, but you lads had a great time and what a treat to meet Dave Goodman. From his videos, he clearly a down to earth man and no doubt enjoyed a chat with you two as much as you two enjoyed the chat with him. Nowt snobbish about Dave Goodman! Keep up the great work, all three of you, encouraging us all to get out there and see the beauty of our lovely England, Scotland and Wales!
Thanks for watching mate, and I'll look forward to seeing your Shrop' Hill adventure once you've published it. The only downside, for me, when out with company, is that I sometimes feel a bit embarrassed by my general unfitness and slow walking, as I'm always behind everyone else, lol. However, it is something that I can do something about, if I make the effort (and there lies the main problem, the word 'effort').🙂 Luckily, Dave is a very patient person, and so was Andy on the way back. 👍
Great to see you out with Dave again Steve, Facebook Naze looks like another great camping spot. I bet Andy Beavers is just as down to earth in person as he is in his videos, am I right? I was out last night on Chrome Hill in the wind and rain, still a brilliant experience but didn't do much filming sadly. Let's sort out another camp in the next week or two 😀
Hi Brian and thanks for watching. Dave and Andy are great company. No bull, just genuine, down to earth, honest people. They're exactly the same in person as they appear on video. It's good to learn about your Chrome Hill camp. Despite the wet weather, I bet that you still had a great time. We'll definitely have to sort another trip out together soon.
Hi John, thanks for watching and for the feedback. 👍 The train station was Edale Station. I met Dave there, then we drove around the corner to Edale car park, where I bought a 24hr ticket.
There's more You Tubers on Kinder these days than there is sheep :) Was this filmed last Monday 26th June by any chance ? I did the plateau then and it was the same conditions, nice and fresh compared to the previous few days leading up.
Hi Olan, the video was filmed on Thurs/Fri 29/30th June, so it looks like we missed you by a few days. It was good walking weather, although for the end of June, I thought that it would have been a bit warmer. Thanks for watching mate.
Heyup champ. When you next plan a group camp thing, without a massive walk I'd really like to tag along 😊. I'm not a axe murderer or owt like that... 😂
lol @ the axe murderer part Fraser. 🙂 Where are you based mate? The reason why I ask, is that there may be a trip to Laddow Rocks via Chew Valley soon with another subscriber; Ken Hulmes. It's not too far and you're more than welcome to join us. Alternatively, we could sort something else out mate.
@Hengists_Wild_Camps Heyup Steve, thanks for welcoming me into the fold😊. I'm a Macc lad as it goes😁. Now I'm under the physio at the moment (ooer matron)😂. Soon as I'm back at100% I'll be in touch again. Only looking at a week or two. I'm still able to go to work etc, until then old chap😆👍👍
@Hengists_Wild_Camps Thanks buddy, it's nothing major it's just a niggle in my neck that turned a bit chronic and outstayed its welcome😁. I'll get back to you in next week or so.
I don't buy them these days as they're too expensive for me, but I do have one packet left from when I did last buy some. I usually go for the large 1000 calorie packets, and within that range, the cheapest. I've found that this is usually Cheese & Ham Carbonara. No mate, I've not tried that one. Let me know if it's nice mate.
@Hengists_Wild_Camps I do know exactly what you mean about the price of those freeze dried meals including the adventure foods one I've only ever bought a total of two meals. First one was summit to eat beef and potato hotpot🤢. I couldn't believe it,folk on RUclips had them and said they were delicious! I can honestly say it had a taste so bland it was like warm un-seasoned paper mache pulp. I never had more than a spoon of it🤢😆. So,yeah I've not bought one since. Now I have this adventure food meal, wonder if I should try it at home first. Imagine walking up a hill to find out my tea could be 'orrible😁. Think I might stick with steak n stir fry (probably be cheaper anyway and a lot more tasty) All the best Steve, Fraser
I kipped on that same spot on my last wild camp back in April. I came up the easy way from the A57 up the Fair Brook path. You can check it out on my channel if you like. Haven't been able to get out for a camp since due to life's foibles but hoping for another in August. Happy trails.
It does have some top views down the Ashop Valley Andy. 👍 I've subbed to your channel and I've already noticed some familiar locations in your thumbnails. I'm looking forward to taking a proper look at your videos mate.
@Hengists_Wild_Camps No worries. It was pretty funny because my missus said out of all the videos we've watched with him in them, that's the only time she's been able to understand him. Immediately after yours, RUclips auto-played one of his videos, and she just looked at me and went, "Nope, gibberish again."'
@@fenpunx Lol, he does have a strong Yorkshire accent. Is your missus a southerner mate? I only ask, because as a northerner, perhaps it's easier for me to understand.
@Hengists_Wild_Camps yeah, she's from Essex. I'm from North Yorks and understand him well enough. I also find my northern accent gets stronger when I'm talking into a phone so maybe it's the same for a camera when he's on his own?
What an amazing place! Such an enjoyable video - thank you 👍👍
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to post that kind comment. I appreciate both. 👍

Lovely spot for a camp despite the blustery conditions. Thanks for an enjoyable watch guys.
Thanks for watching Rachel, and also, for taking the time to comment and feedback, both are really appreciated. 👍
Nice up Fairbrook Naze, probably my favourite part of northern edge.
Thanks for watching Tom. The views down the Ashop Valley from the Naze are stunning. 👍
Seems like the adventuring possibilities in the area are endless...perfect! Keep on adventuring for sure. Bruce and Otis

fine video steve, with some stunning views.
