    Good day. I made Rawa Dosa with dessicated coconut and Atta to substitute rice flour and Maida respectively.
    Didn't have those at home, though I followed your other instructions. Awesome...
    Was wonderful to see very first Dosa come off intact from the cast iron Tawa.
    Genuine and authentic...Kudos

    Hello Gitaji! Your recipes are always very accurate and dependable.Thanks a lot.I have recently purchased a Prestige dosa tava just to be successful with the dosas I would be making.Could you please guide me for cooking a Rava dosa on this tava.The temperature of the tava while spreading the batter so that it cooks properly and does not stick or break.Any other tip to be careful about?Awaiting your guidance.Thanks.

      Heat the tava .Sprinkle a little water till it bubbles well. wipe with a cloth and reduce the flame and pour the batter. You can again increase to med heat while cooking

    This recipe is well explained. The video quality looks like old video played on TV and used another camera to record it again from the TV screen! Pirated movie DVDs use to be like this.

    If you add wheat flour instead of maida, it will be a healthy recipe for this generation.Consider the change when u update!

    For rava dosa Gita madam no udud Dal paste required. Rice grinded paste ok mam please let me know.tom I l make

      No need of grinding at all.. only dry flour of rice and rava

    Dear Auntie Gita, thank you for this recipe. I had tried making this for dinner today...on tawa and non-stick pan as well...but on both of the utensils it stuck to the pan...I really don't know what happened. If you could maybe tell me where I would have made the mistake, I could try again. Thank you Auntie. God bless.

      First grease the tava. The main thing is in controlling the temps i said, lower the flame while pouring the batter and increase it while cooking. You can try covering it with a lid next time , this will also help prevent sticking to tava, oma

    Mam whenever I try making rawa dosa the edges do not cook and middle part cooks very fast sometimes the dosa get burn in middle while on same tawa I make regular dosa that too super thin and crisp what changes should I do to get rawa dosa well I love them I usually add rawa curd and rice flour is it necessary to add maida?

      The temp of the tava is also important heat it well. then sprinkle some water on it and wipe with a cloth before pouring the dosa

    Mam can we use roasted rava , and instead of maida can l use millet pwdr

      Yes Srilakshmi, roasted rava is fine. maida gives the binding to the batter. you can still add millet powder. Variations are always possible

      Please heat the tava very well. then reduce the flame and pour the batter and cook. Try covering it and cook on one side on sim

      Thanks Mimi. I mainly use sunflower oil . But for specific dishes, I sometimes use coconut oil, and Til oil.

    Good one maa. I always try hard to make dosa but it doesn't come perfectly. I use the dosa batter from market. Want to do at home. Please let know the perfect combination. I am not from south,so don't know.😊
