Been waiting on this one! Was looking to see how someone decides to invest in a trending but controversial company like barstool, and to see Dan talk to his boss lol
@9:09.... Alex Rodriguez I think was alleged to have went to games hosted by Molly Bloom in NYC. The movie 'Molly's Game' was based on Molly Bloom. So yeah he definitely likes to play poker I'd say 😆
I think CFA (chief financial analyst) is superior to an MBA- more practical, straight line to the heart of any business/industry, same benefits of networking with a fraction of the price tag. The CFO is always next in line to the "thrown" because they know the business/number better than the CEO. If you have the vision of a great CEO and a deep understanding of the metrics of your business/industry at some point in your career you will be given a "blank cheque" to fill in. Full disclosure- I'm neither, I had this discussion with my friend and mentor a managing partner at a recognizable investment bank. He also said: "you're great at finding opportunity, building and growing but you're not an operator"- he was right. His suggestion was get a CFA with an entrepreneurs mind but doesn't have the balls to put up every last cent of his own money to run the Company. "You can't have a fighter pilot fly a commercial aircraft- different skillsets and temperament." Hope this helps anyone on the fence. Just one man's opinion.
It's funny how both Big Cat and A-Rod are clearly out of their depth talking about business with the head of a multi-billion dollar company, but they handle that in polar opposite ways. Big Cat is self-aware and it's clear that he knows Jay is brilliant. So he approaches the interview as a more casual conversation and sounds like he's just trying to learn from Jay and understand his world instead of pretending he's on his level. A-Rod cuts in every 10 minutes or so speaking in an obnoxiously formal manner, interrupting a natural conversation between Big Cat/Jay, asking like seven questions at once, and trying to drop as much corporate jargon and as many corporate buzzwords as possible.
Been a stoolie 4 ever. But been a people person 4 even longer. Listen, company's sellout, that's the fkn goal, right? To break out and make money, right? Listen, Dave said it for years, "I can be bought." 🤣And Barstool has, multiple times now. But they sell to the right people....going into this, I wanted to crush this guy. FOLKS, This man is the REAL DEAL. He gets it. At least I think he does. I'm pretty good at spotting an actor, but judging from this interview, this guy is this truth. He seems genuine. He says he loves the people, and many people do, but i believe him. And if im proved wrong in the future, then so be it. But this guy is the truth, and im from pizza town, PA, and a pizza maker. Cusumano, old forge. RUclips it, then watch the Salerno's, Mary Lou's pizza review on YT/Barstool and look for me in the crowd.
“Sell out?” Barstool fans are afraid of their company selling out? That’s a legitimate concern that people have? That entire post of yours is classic. Thanks
He was told the night before and they made up. Big cat still went on radio about it the next day so he could play middle man dan and not associate with trump
Interesting you would say that, I think he's pretty good given this is his second career. Why would you say that? I'm not saying you're right or wrong, just curious about your perspective.
Jay's passion really bleeds through in this interview. Great interview.
Big cat has never sinned. Confirmed

Great episode guys! Damn good guest with some real knowledge and definitely great questions to get that knowledge out!
Really enjoyed this conversation

I just watched that movie last night. Had no idea who they were insinuating was at the games

I think arod should quit the habit of asking multiple questions at once. It's unlikely the interviewee will remember them.
Not only that he talks about himself and then runs those questions too long to the point your forget what the true point of the question is
He s literally just trying to sound smart!?
He allowed too. He’s a BADASS. But I hear ya!!
in the thumbnail ARod looks like his shirt is up to his belly
😅🤣😂
Fantastic interview 👏
Anyone notice the thumbnail looks like Arod is wearing a crop top with his gut hanging out?
Lmfao
Great interview!!!
whoever is writing "swag" into the ad reads.....
please stop
47:51 was that a dig at Arod

long $PENN 10/16 $50 calls
How’d that go for u
Jay is awesome!
How much pull does big cat have at barstool? I’ve always wondered this like what’s his pull or his rank?
4th behind jay Erika and pres
Jack Twomey oh wow I guess I just never associated him with the top rungs of the company
Big Cat is a "lowkey" millionaire. It pays to be in early and one of the main guys at a company that gets acquired like Barstool has.
@@theunfriendlynoob Not to mention he's hilarious and talented
@@jordancathcart5009 yeah, he is a top tier sports media talent
Second!!! do a giveaway where you give away advice through a phone call or something lol
Big cat: “he’s someone I trust”
Jay: doesn’t tell dan about the Trump interview
He was told the night before and they made up. Big cat still went on radio about it the next day so he could play middle man dan and not associate with trump
What?
Brian gonna have to get back to you on that one
I have always wanted to ask arod why he thinks he was aloud to use PEDs and not get black balled and why berry bonds wasn't.
Dan is the best!
Does A Rod really think a lot of the listeners are trying to get their MBA? big dawg is outta touch
Alex Rodriguez 😍😜
Horrible thumbnails
wow arod wanted to buy barstool?
Rparry financial is the #1 place to get a mortgage, Big Cat is just a writer for Barstool. He doesn't know shit.
Seriously, A-Rod is such a bad interviewer and speaks very badly, can definitely see he only got the job cause of his name not his ability
Interesting you would say that, I think he's pretty good given this is his second career.

Speaks "poorly" - take a lap
@@edwardboone4395 what's your definition of speaking poorly?
