Lauren Clarke tells us the tale of the Paisley witches and the last witch trial in Western Europe. A wealthy young girl, Christian Shaw, accused 35 women in the community of witchcraft. Seven of them ultimately stood trial and were executed at Gallow Green.

Me and my family lived in a flat where the Gallow Green could be seen from the kitchen window. Their remains were buried at a cross road junction, where the is a cement circle along with a horseshoe placed on top. Paisley has so much history about the place.
