      @@Susweca5569 ~ It could've happened something like this ... (my Steward/Stewart Family) In 1066 William the Conquerer invaded England with a LOT of men to take over the land from Williams cousin who ruled England. Those same men were granted parcels of land all over Scotland and England. My distant (abt. 20th) Great-Grandfather was given the land around Glasgow, Renfrew, and Paisley Scotland. He also had Paisley Abbey built in 1190's. Anyway, as the family grew and the sons had several sons, the land was filling up! Around 1400ad or so was a Stewart son who came of age and decided to see what their was to offer in England. He moved there and a few more generations later, they started to move to America!! Maybe one of your family members decided to see if the grass was greener in England and stayed for a few generations, and for some reason the part about orig. coming from Scotland was left out. When you study the migration patterns of certain people groups, it's truly fascinating! 🌍🌏🌎

      My family came to America in two waves; the first in 1695, and "everyone else" after the failed Jacobite Rebellion in 1745. We didn't have a large role in that event; clan wars and sickness had taken a toll. There wasn't many of us left!
      I was surprised to learn there ARE some of us still in Scotland! Family lore said the Highland Clearances left NONE of us behind!
      Most of us came into America via Charleston, South Carolina (some did go through New York!), and moved inland to the Appalachian Mountains. We found papers showing they bought land from the Cherokee and other tribes. (Usually trading livestock and tools.)
      Yes, it's fascinating to see how people moved and settled half a world away from where they were born.
      Today, as easy as it is to move, few people do it. Those that do have no idea how easy it is today compared to 300+ years ago.

    My seven times great uncle is said by no less than Sir Walter Scott to have cooperated with a gnome, who persuaded him not to excavate the hill under his castle presumably inhabited by the gnome. Years later when this great uncle was about to be executed, the gnome showed up and carried him off on a white horse. His two times great nephew in North America was saved from Indian attack by his white horse! There is sometimes a rational approach to avoiding these curses!

From that day it was said that staying in the ancestral castle gave bad luck. The castle itself is said to have three spirits in it. I am boy that had mental issues and kept sneaking in until finally he was thrown in the dungeon and died. A woman, I know nothing about her origin but she is sad to actually talk to people who are visiting the ruins and find themselves around the area of the great room and great fireplace. And then there’s a little girl that is said to wave to people from one of the top floors, even though there’s no floors left. Cardoness castle, Clan MacCulloch.

      @@QueenRoseFlower It means she has some sort of psychic ability. See the future, see/speak to spirits, that kinda stuff. Most people scoff at it. I know at least one guy who is the real deal. It takes a heavy toll on his mental health. Imagine shaking someone’s hand and by doing so your ability tells you this person has undiagnosed terminal cancer and will die in 49 days. Or another time he shook a friend’s wife’s hand. He knew she was cheating on his life long friend. He’s a very strong Christian too and has been worried that his abilities are some sort of manifestation of evil or something. That whole “don’t suffer a witch to live” verse in the Bible.

    • @BrendaPenepent
      @BrendaPenepent Год назад +6

      I have Second Sight, the psychic ability to see, hear, and know things before they happen. Usually it only manifests when my family is involved or in danger. Unlike your friend, I don’t get impressions from touching objects or shaking hands. It is very unsettling to see beforehand that someone you love is about to die. I lost two children and I felt death both times. My heritage is Scotch-Irish and my family is gifted on both sides with the sight. My birth name was McCormick. Pattillo on my mother’s side.

    • @i-..--..--..-i6985
      @i-..--..--..-i6985 Год назад

      @@BrendaPenepent One of my great grandmothers was a McCormick. She emigrated from Scotland in the 1800s. She’s buried in a small family plot in a field off US HWY 301 between Dillion SC and Rowland, NC. You’re not from southeastern North Carolina are you?
      Mr. Billy was my barber for about 35 years. I’ve seen him do some amazing stuff. It wasn’t all bad things he saw. Once my best friend and I walked into the church sanctuary to sit down. Mr. Billy greater us inside and shook my friends hand and he broke out in the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on him. “Been busy I see.” He said to my friend Scott. “What do you mean Mr. Billy?” Scott asked. “Well you and Jill are about to get really busy in about 8 1/2 months”. Mr. Billy replied grinning. “Oh no no no no! No way!” Scott said shaking his head. He’d just gotten discharged from the Army to join a federal LE agency and had a lot of irons in the fire, no current job, and two small kids. Mr. Billy gave Scott a hug and said “Don’t worry! Y’all are all going to be just fine including your new baby.” Scott’s wife turned out to have been pregnant for almost 2 weeks. She didn’t even know until Scott told her to go get a test. Their youngest daughter graduates high school next year.
      Sometimes I know a few minutes ahead of time that a specific person is about to call me and probably be upset or really emotional in some way. Other times I’ll have a dream and I’ll be in a specific place and someone will say a very specific sentence to me. Months (usually) or sometimes a few years later I’ll get a weird deja vu feeling right before I see & hear in real life what I saw earlier in my dream. There’s no pattern or predictability to any of that. I’ve gone years at a time with nothing and then I’ll have it happen 4-5 times in 6 months. Mom used to say we got it from my great grandfathers side of the family. He was part Cherokee and was known as a root doctor which is an old term for a herbal health healer of sorts.

    I’m a Stewart and I have the second sight. Unfortunately, my life has been extremely cursed, especially since getting together with my partner, who also shares Scottish dna relatives with me (from Moffat). My Stewart father had MacDonald Eye Teeth (when your upper adult canines stay in the gum unerupted and you have the baby tooth into adult hood) and the psychic bond we shared was powerful. We are on the Nial of the Nine Hostages Y dna lineage as well, which links to the Stone of Sconce and the founding of the Royal Stewarts. The last thing my dad gave me before he died was…. a small white stone. I think it is a piece of snowy quartz that he found on a walk but it’s a bit weird now that I have listened to this video! @@lindafarrell8250 I believe the monarchies were cursed during the bloody 30 year war of the 1600’s, same time the whites came to this land when the Native wars were happening. Even the Royal Brandenburgs in my family were cursed too. Eventually, parliament replaced kingdoms, giving the power back to the people as a collective. Kentucky is a beautiful haven, rich in beauty and land, beautiful old people, but it’s been ruined by corrupt politicians and drugs and poverty and for those who never pray.

    No mention of the Hamiltons. My grandmother Lucy was a Hamilton and she must have been cursed. Her mother father was James and her mother was Caroline Weaver. I don't know when the family came to Australia butvsome time in the 1800s. Lucy used to invite the Gypsies to her home in Cootamundra NSW when my grandfather was away cooking for the shearers. She ended up being committed to a mental institution for 16 years because she thought she was cursed and that ghosts were haunting her house, among other things.

    "Gee, ma. Whete will I find a girl like that?"
    "Well, now that you mention it, I have been talking with the biddies in town, and we have a whole string of suitable women for you to meet. I quite like the MacKenzie girl now that I think of it. And I did hear her predict a storm in her youth. So that settles it."
