Not to take anything away for the army deployment but this would be just as good of a surprise to any family member that's been away for a year or more. Such a sweet video.
I don’t think it would be as great a surprise. When you have a family member who’s deployed, you are constantly hoping and praying that they stay safe. When you say goodbye and you hug them, there’s a very real chance you will never hug them again. So, when you see them there, you know that they are here and safe! Even if it’s only for a little while, you know that you can hold them and that you will wake up the next morning and they will still be safe. Sorry for the inelegant rant, it’s just something quite close to my heart
