Thank You. After living 46 years with Autism, I finally understand stimming.

I hear the same Song over and over again, I love it! In my Home it is very important that colours are matching and I love to look at coloured glass. I can feel in body when something is not placed well, although I am not compulsive or something like that.

the RAADS questionaire that's used to assess autism, has the hand flapping question. I interpet it litterally and since I don't use hand flapping so I answered no, meaning I got 0 points. Once I was told how to interpet that question as meaning stimming in general, I got high points. I just wish more people would be aware of other types of stimms, and this video is an exelent example that I can use to educate others with. I do mostly audio stimms such as singing. Which annoyes most people because I can't sing to save my life, but that doesn't mean I won't stop.

I'm so grateful for this. It could be a while before I get access to resources.

Your Amygdala otherwise known as the "horns of the Devil"
Is set to detach mode, as you mum told you biologically (the cortex does not matter)
This means you are "driven around the bend" of fear
And exist in permanent terror physically
Your cortex imagines you are not , but this means if the imagination is disturbed , you explode
The stimming is you trying to not scream and destroy everything around you
Because everything around you is about attachment and you cant attach
You have never experienced an Oxytocin release in your life
    FEED YOUR HEAD

I thought humming and clearing your throat etc were tics as in a part of Tourettes?

Mommy, Mikko seems to be stressed and pressured to move and perform. When she does do what you want, it's never good enough to please you. Then comes the tantrums or meltdowns. Whatever you want to call them.

When I was a young teenager I used to wet my hand with my mouth and then smell the wet skin.
