I LOOOOOVE THIS COMMERCIAL!! Ok, so Im not one to ever comment on commercials, I utterly despise loathe them but this commercial for Chanel BLEW MY MIND! The song choice is perfect contrast to the delicate ballerina colorful Edgar Degas painting dresses combined with the length and elegance of the modelesque dancers, the diversity in expression and experience and "chance" selection is tangible and real, and the moves are militarily fastened and set. The song selection for this is what makes this so poignantly spot on. Its cultural, it has a heartbeat, its creative and breathing and as wild as chaotic as the experience while structurally sound. I LOVE THIS!! The choreography, the fashion, the music - Perfect!!

What the hell is the meaning of this commercial? You have to dance really good with a fucking chair in order to be spun to death on a round bed while everybody else is T-posing and spinning at the same time?
I love the coco mademoiselle commercial super modern elegant, and girl is in power, but this one the message isn’t clear, and I don’t get the feeling of what it would’ve smell like the sense of vibe is all over the place yet the bottle design is simple when there’s a lot going on in the vid

Am I the only one that finds this ad boring? I expected a bit more class, just look at the simple ad for the red Number 5 - minimalistic and yet elegant. This one is chaotic and all over the place, just meh
Ivan A. More than that, it is such a wrong message. What is this telling the young girls? You can be talented, hardworking and kind and all that doesn’t matter, because your fate will only be decided by a random yes or no of industry snobs?

@Teresa Torres okay. If you didn't know that it was a Chanel commercial and it was left out would you know they were trying to sell perfume? There was a time that when a company was trying to sell their product they would ask themselves how do I promote my product so that when the consumer watches the commercial they know exactly what the product is even if the company name is not shown.

I could just imagine all the car commercials having a similiar approach as this one there would be mass worldwide confusion as to which car dealership to go to if no mention of the manufacturer.
Maybe just imagine living in a world where every single product follows the same line of thinking and advertising as this chanel commercial does. Mass confusion.

@Isis Marques I watched the Kenzo World ad with the women in a green dress. If it wasn't for the ending I would never have known it was for perfume. That whole routine that she did when she stepped out of the banquet hall reminded me of acid trips we use to take in the early 70's in college. The only thing that made any sense to me was that eye that she jumped and crashed through.
This symbolically meant to me that even though Big Brother - an Orwellian concept- is watching, you can break free of the shackles that bind us and be your own person.
The rest of the video meant absolutely nothing to me except for those very freaked out trips now and then

Their reactions seemed so fake smh, shouldve gotten real dancers instead of models, as that would show that “normal” people can also come in a chanel ad, that they also have a “chance”. On top of that the expressions would’ve been better too, and they’d easily be able to perform the choreography.
