- With no advance notice we decided to just jump onto a Google+ Hangout On Air to share a glimpse at whatever was going down at the rehearsal studio while we get ready for the Different Devil 2012 Summer Tour starting Friday & Sat in Tahoe. The Hangout echo cancellation did some nasty things to the audio so this is a re-upload, but otherwise is unedited raw as-it-happened. The song performed is "Up Next" from Chickenfoot III.

I don't know if anyone got the joke, but "Nigel" from Spinal Tap was on a Joe Satriani documentary/video collection. He was talking about not being able to understand Joe's playing, and at one point he says, "I don't really know what he's doing. If I knew what he was doing...I would do it." It's classic.
These guys are tight! Saw them in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock. Life will never be the same.

Thanks Joe for giving me credit no joke - the band *Chickenfoot were much the same as my band back in the 90's the way i thought of him J. Satriani is high in a way on his class of the guitar. Their concept fooling, joking, makes was like my group Tropical Virus of Vienna. You are still such a down to earth person and inspiring Joe. Thanks

You sir have hit the nail squarely on the head! All I ever wanted since I was in my first band in 1963 was to be with good players and have fun. I got lucky twice, but most of my 50 years have not been all that much fun, not as much as these guys are having.
I LITERALLY have never seen a funnier or better youtube video than this!!! The WIGS!!!!!!! OMG! it is so funny!!!!! and the music WOW!!!!! I surely could not have written that when I was 14!!! 100% agreed. I was never much into drugs or alcohol though I experimented a bit in my highschool years and early 20s. But the fast food thing I can attest to. I am not a vegan or vegetarian by any means, I couldn't survive without a good steak now and then! But a few years ago when I cut down majorly on fast food I was amazed at how much better I felt physically and even mentally. Not to mention I lost about 25lbs of BLUBBER in just a couple of months.
Many people honestly don't realize just how much crap and flat-out poison is in most fast food. You'll add years to your life just eating right.

I read Sammy's book, I read Eddie's book. Sammy is the only who ever had his head screwed on straight and of course Mickey ! Great down to earth guys ! Roth was just a big ego-drama queen ! Look at all his interviews with everybody ! It's all about him ! The Van Halens I love them also but after their marriages broke up all they would do was hole themselves up at 5150 and drink and smoke all day! Everyone else had a life and families to go home to. I still love Van Halen ! But with Sammy that was really the end, they ain't coming back! I know they toured this year but Roth sucks real bad ! Not that he could ever sing but now he can't even mumble ! What a crock ! Just hold on to the memories. Because what happened with Sammy and The Van Halens was once in a lifetime and it will never come back. Eddie is looking real good and playing great !! Thank God he got through everything . Would like one day to meet Sammy and Mickey and just hang out and drink with them at Cabo. Musician 45 yrs.

Nigel, I can't hear the sustain. Can you put your guitar closer to the mic. You don't need to plug it in. Just closer though, to the mic.

I saw the band in H-town last night. Their chemistry proves they "genuinely like each other." We were up front and center and enjoyed every second of the show. And I think Sammy lies about his age... Not a day over 40...LOL

I miss Chad's presence in the band too; but even though this is such a great band, all of the members agree that their regular gigs before CF must go on. Chad couldn't have picked a better guy than Kenny to substitute for him. Even Kenny has a regular gig with John Fogerty.
Room volume was overloading the camera mic just a wee bit.....
I think you guys are awesome.! I'm 42 in a cover band that would love to meet you guys. We don't have the money, but we'd sure pay for your beers. Warning.... We're British.. You couldn't handle that heavy!!! You'd have brothers for life. Anyway. Off to see Stevie Vai on Tuesday right after divorce court case. After afghan for six years it's the small things in life you look forward to I listened to you a whole lot whilst there. I may not be the best guitar player in the band but I am a guitar player in a band, sometimes the only one. Gauntlet thrown!!!!
