- White Lions, Born Wild is a true wildlife story, with strong characters and closely studied behaviour. We follow the cubs’ progress as they embark on the pathway to adulthood, learning to hunt, learning to avoid danger, learning to live in their white coats. This is a strong behaviour-led film, a coming of age story of a very rare and unusual pair of lions. Through their eyes we will learn what it’s really like to be a lion in Africa.

This is my favorite story of all the lion doc’s I’ve watched. (which is ALOT) the mothers are so strong and they love their babies. The cubs are beautiful and have such great character. I really love and am inspired by this little prides bond they have. The bond is strong. Sad the one male didn’t make it. I wish there was a part 3!!
That had me crying uncontrollably. He was so close to making it.

I’ve seen other lion shows I absolutely love but I love this one so much also. I love lions especially lionesses. I’m a male but I respect their fight for their cubs males and females would never live without females.

.. exemplary documentary about these two beautiful white lions , both surviving the trials and tribulations of living in Kruger National Park , both their mothers are strong and brave , they would put their lives on the line to save their children .. a true masterpiece and the narration puts it over the top ..
Great story. Surprised that the big male didn't kill or drive off the tawny cub immediately. Maybe took the measure of the lion queens he wanted to woo and decided to tolerate him.
I love the story of these rare white lions, amazing mothers and the narrator!!! I always love David Attenborough, but this surprise me! I believe Bongani Nxumalo is a local. Lovely to give the local people chances to tell the stories of their homeland. Kudos to the producers.

I cried a little bit when one of the male cubs died. He bled out all night and had a slow, painful death. Dammit, it got to me.
Same. I'm still sitting here crying and in shock. I really appreciated the male lion that came in peace. I wish they all could be that way.
A wonderful story with all the right ingredients, suspense, drama, companionship and best of all...a happy ending!

Somebody said it was filmed in 2012 so possibly these cubs might have grown now and lionesses probably might be dead i guess, because it's almost 11 years now

I just watched both parts and it was awesome. Such beautiful majestic animals. I never seen a lion with white furr before. It was sad that one of the male cubs didn't make it.

I love seeing the difference between the Nomad lion’s behaviour and the lone male’s behaviour. It’s fascinating to see how the aggressive ones get no where and the peaceful one joins the pride.

You gotta hand it to the camera people, following the same lion family around for years just to share their story with us. It will be a sad day on this planet when lions are extinct. Could be in the next 20 years if we don’t all chip in and do more.

A life of a lion 🦁 is tuff
Remarkable documentary about extraordinary lions' story with clever made and gorgeous pictures. I'm sure it makes viewers better understand how precious those animals are and they aren't heartless beasts. If they kill it's just to feed themselves and their offspring, it's never about pointless annihilation.
With their decreasing number, poaching them for a useless placebo for East Asian "medicine" fans is an unforgivable crime on these animals and losing a real treasure also for future generations.

This is old story and not new one! they uploaded into new channel a month ago. I remember watching this back in 2018 or 2019. I thought this is new development that they shot. Darn, its the same old story they uploaded again in 2 parts (just like last time)

@@bethanyhin718 sad, I’m shocked most cubs survived to adulthood with no male to protect them.

@@lewisc9959 actually it seems common for mothers to take their cubs and run off when they sense danger. Male lion will assess the situation, but will run off on his own if he realises hes going to lose (eg when theres 3 strong lions which was the case here), so the lionesses do more protecting of cubs than males (they wont even mate until their cubs are old enough to be on their own)
