Ah, we've gone full circle! Larry Graham is credited with creating the thumping technique, but Victor Wooten made it popular. Tosin Abasi learned his thumping technique from various bassists, including Victor Wooten. Now Umansky is doing a standard bass technique, on the bass, and it's AAL with a bass. I love it 🤣
@@lolzroycepeople need to include Evan Brewer when they speak about double thump history. He learned it and all the associated techniques from Reggie Wooten and then truly made it transcend genre - before Tosin and Tim Henson - by using it in metal and metal-esque solo work instead of just funk/fusion. Tosin learned it from him when they were in a band called Reflux. Every player I’ve mentioned here is phenomenal and deserves respect but Evan needs more of it when it comes to how this technique became what it is today.
Love seeing cracked bassists play for 2 main reasons. It's awesome, and it shows me what bass can do. When I program bass I always worry if a bass player can actually do it.
So fucking good I absolutely love Umansky’s use of selective picking and these cool ass techniques you don’t usually see on bass… Very influential to me at least.
@@memocayuna but the patterns with the solo with the breakdown pattern really sounds like blood eagle now that listened to both xD still really cool tho
There's just too much Tosin Abasi in their sound to be easy to find. I have the feeling that no one really tries to go their own way anymore. very unfortunate!
Finally, Animals As Leaders with the BASS!!
Banger!!!
no sweep arpeggios though xD

Not really , Nolly from periphery tracked bass for AAL on Joy of Motion

2:26 is that a blood eagle reference??
Lots of dj0nt patterns in this genre can sound really similar by accident. Who knows if it is a reference (I’d guess it’s just a coincidence)
@@memocayuna true that

Vaya jodido puto desfase! BRAVO!!!
This may be a stupid question, how to get that impulse response in this preset? I saw IR missing warning on my QC

The mf BOYS

The Presets for the QC contain an IR Loader which is trying to obviously load an IR that i dont have ? or am i doing something wrong ?
Any greenback style IR will do the trick!
@@Listentoportraits alright! Thx!

The Tosin is strong
I want Archetype:Mick/Jim
They need Travis Orbin on drums then they'll be set.

music without soul, technical but stupid and boring. Thanks we have awesome Plini
These instrumental djent shred bands do nothing for me. All sounds the same. Like A.A.L.
No one is forcing you to listen?
