Thanks for the video. I ordered the meat stick mini mostly because of its size. Since it will be used mostly inside a Traeger, I don't expect super range. Too bad you don't get ambient with the mini.
One question I never see answered in the reviews but is very relevant to me; Is it also possible with the Meatstick X to use a phone to setup a wifi bridge and monitor your cook from the cloud? This is possible for meater but I cant find anything on ot for the Meatstick except for their pricey Wifi-bridge product.
I'm guessing the range is based on clear line of sight as Bluetooth signal is severely obstructed by walls or anything really that stands between the objects communicating via Bluetooth.
You need to do a proper video but first you have to research more info on both products. You failed to explain the the Meater + has cloud and meater link options.
Don't BOTH the Meater+ & MeatStick X have that option which BOTH require the optional WiFi repeater. I find both wifi bridges are hard to find without buying it upfront in the set.
This is really helpful! I was thinking of getting one as a Christmas gift.

Meater can alert you for temperatures too

Good point. The MeatStick does require the Wi-Fi bridge in order to monitor your cook outside of Bluetooth range.
the range. is it based also by how strong a wifi you have at home for the phone your using it on? a weak wifi connection shorten the range

Great video this helped so much!
does the software for one work with the other?
Thank you sir!
which is more accurate
They’re about the same, but I find myself using the MEATER most of the time. I like the app better.
