Ha ha! You two are nuts, but then you know that, and that's why I love yous 😆 That bottoming out is a bit of a worry - did you adjust anything in the rear suspension? Yep- we still end up riding west into the sunset... slow learners 🤣 Can't believe you'd never been in to Wollomombi Falls! My first naughty platform pic was there, on the old timber one, with a dirt path down to it with a switchback - so adventurey!! Tight fit, plenty of hip exercise getting on and off 😯
Thanks mate! HaHa! I obviously wound it up for the trip, but not enough for the odd bump. Some of the roads were pretty bad in spots but with not a lot of warning, just bang, sharp rise or hole. I actually put a hole underneath by the end of the trip from the tyre bottoming out. 🤣 Yeah, every time I'd wanted to stop at Wollomombi I was pushed for time. I always thought it was a bit further off the road too for some reason. Even that short stop though quickly ate up half an hour or more. It's easy done as you know. The next day was the same, small delays added together and saw us riding unfamiliar roads at night for over an hour! 🙃
I keep thinking that you are so lucky having all this beauty on your doorstep... then remember that it is a days riding away. I should try and do some more big trips, Scotland and the north of England have a lot to offer on a bike, as does Spain and France. This trip is looking to be an epic AusAdventure indeedy!
HaHa! Yeah this area is somewhat local in that it's within a day's ride, but is still 500km away! 😂 I'd love to ride Scotland and also Spain! You have all of Europe on your doorstep! 👍
🤣🤣You really need a riser on that old lady, got a bitt saggy in the suspension over the years. I rised mine 20mm and that bottoming out was history. You two are fun to watch 🤣 Ride safe my friend
Thanks mate, the suspension is definitely showing signs of aging a bit now and could do with some work. Hopefully Sharon will get a touring bike soon as well so she doesn't need to be on mine for longer rides.
@@MrAusadventure always better with 2 bikes. My wife dont ride by her self so my suspension need to carry 2 up aand luggage. Luckily the tiger do it wit ease. No need for upgrade there... Yet😄
@@MrAusadventure Ooer. I'll see how it pans out. On Thursday I'm getting my first bike since 1987! A Classic 350 in dark black. See how I like it before getting a larger bike.
You and me both mate! We'd had a bad year with the weather that year and the roads everywhere were horrible. I could have probably gone a few extra clicks on the suspension though. 🤣
Pillion on a bike with panniers ? That's a challenge. 1:33 I recognize those tunnels. When I did my trip the Melbourne, I stopped a lot more. First stop was Ballina although I went from Brisbane (not the Gold coast) 12:04 I wish I knew about these places when I was doing my trip.
Yeah, it was a challenge getting on and off each time. We got better at it, but there's not a lot of room with both. We stopped a lot each day on this trip, way more than I would have on my own. But that was needed with the more cramped seating position. Some of our days ended up being long, with many days riding into te dark before we stopped for the night. Not recommended! 🤣 There are so many great spots to stop, Wollomombi was one I'd wanted to stop at heaps of times but never did due to needing to push on. This day was the same situation, but I was glad we stopped and I'd finally got to see the falls. 😍
@@mjpt57 I was headed to see my family on the Mornington Peninsula mate. After that we did the Great Ocean Road and came straight up the middle after that.

The Wallalambie (SP) falls was fantastic looking. sorry for the spelling.

Great stuff. You both look like you're having the time of your lives.
Thanks mate. It was an awesome trip and we were still in high spirits on day 1. Things got tense on the way home though! HaHa!

I do love a good waterfall. I don't think I'd like a bike bottoming out though!

Nice one! Err any chance you could send us some of that sun? Middle of summer here in UK - and all we got is rain!
I've just put some in the post for you. I hope it arrives safely. 😂
Another Aus Adventure to look forward to watching. To where in Vic are you headed?
