If you look at published accounts for the main banks controlling fx, they never book trading losses in fx! How is that possible if they are not stop hunting all the time?
Eurusd was perfect today 3 easily discernable pushes into yesterdays high, shorted that took the money and then nfp was stop hunt back into the pushes easy short. Especially given nfp was a complete miss, had to be a stop hunt. Thanks to you eurusd was an open book today, wish it was as easy everyday.
I have learned with your help that the most important thing is personal control. Without that you cannot grow an account and will blow it up really fast. Therefore learning how to swallow when you get stopped and not immediately try to claw back is key. Walk away and come back another day or another session and reimplement is key to being profitable.

I completely agree with you about trying to predict and trade the news but it might highlight to some traders when some of the concepts you teach come are more likely to come into play more rapidly than on some other days.

Great video as always. Thank you Stacey. I understand the whole process, but sometimes am confused by the large stop hunt and fast trend move, and thereby make mistakes with FOMO sentiment. I think that mastering the peak formation (weekly and daily High/Low) is critical and can be improved with your technique of pin hammer and engulfment.
Additional comment 10 min after the previous: GBP/USD is just showing now (this morning between 8:00-11:00) this kind of whipsawing behavior - combination of normal (~25 pips) and huge (~50 pips) stop hunts towards both sides, followed by an explosive move up. Are the market makers forming for this afternoon a large inter-day M structure for the reversal down, or continuing the trend up with measured move based on the last stop hunt? Let's see.

Hi Chano, Yes I use the 15 minute primarily for all my trades. I have a 1 minute chart I look at when I am the high or low during the middle hour at round numbers. Understand though that the 1 minute will form a 15 minute pattern if there is a trade setup. Ie a three push pattern, or stop hunt etc.

Since you're using MT4, would it be possible for you to use a historical forex simulator (i.e soft4fx - its free for download, just google it) in one of your future teaching videos?
I believe the simulation will help us viewers tremendously - in gauging the market and when going to the live view of the market (i.e what we should look out for and be prepared for... HOD/ LOD /BO etc).

Hey Stacey great content as always. I've got a question tho, how do we tell a trending market from a market that's gonna reverse off of HOD/LOD ? I always have this confusion on whether the price is going to continue or reverse off of HOD/LOD. Is there any way to be more certain on this?

Is this one market maker or many market makers moving in one direction, or the direction you are explaining , more to the point are the traders are doing the same thing like the “herding instinct of sheep”. I try to adjust what I see is either going wrong or not doing anything. I think what the problem is there are not enough traders to force the market makers to take a defensive strategy. Some trades are losing because the eatery strategy not hurting the market maker enough for him to accept a loss or being on the losing trend. What about brokers ? How do you consider their moves?
1 question do the market makers ever trade against each other or is it always them vs us (retail) traders
I believe they trade with each other to create the "spread," or the box that sets the initial highs and lows to get more volume into the market.

What do you think about trading against retail trader sentiments (i.e myfxbook community outlook)? Through this outlook, we can see the percentage of long and shorts positions and we can use this info to our advantage and trade like how the big banks work (ie. stop hunts)
I don't look at any of that Alastair. I look at the HOD and LOD. Swing lows and swing highs, this is where the stops are, the money and also whether they have locked in a low or high for the session / day.

Hi Stacey regarding Mondays how do you approach the makert?
I have noticed they usually would breakout and its normally over 50 to 100pips move on the 1st hour of London session
I approach it the same as any other day Sthembiso, but also look for "day 0" narrow range type of setups and peak formations that will start the week off with high and low boundaries.

Start on Asian session get high and low before going to next session if next session breaks the Asian high low then that becomes new high low

That all depends on how you are structured, whether you have other sources of income, expenses etc. In Australia if you are a company structure it's income in expenses out, then whatever you are earning as a salary from your business would be taxable at that bracket. You would need to discuss that with your accountant.
