University of South Carolina Women's Basketball Championship Celebration

The City of Columbia held a special celebration parade for the 2017 NCAA Women's Basketball National Champions, the University of South Carolina Lady Gamecocks, on April 9, 2017. After the parade, thousands gathered at the State House to hear from leaders across the community and a couple of Gamecocks stars; Dawn Staley, USC women's basketball Head Coach, and A'ja Wilson, USC women's basketball player and most outstanding player in the tournament. The City of Columbia is proud to share a home with the University of South Carolina. #WeAreColumbia #GoGamecocks
