Can you please review or comment on the organic luxury plush model at avocado
Hi Chris -- Thanks for your suggestion. We don't have any immediate plans to cover this model, however we do prioritize our reviews based on input from our readers, so your interest our review of in this model will certainly be noted.
Great presentation again Mike? I'm a heavier male always side sleeper. Do you feel it would be better getting the Avocado Green or Graphite model? Not sure it's worth the extra 400 or 500 dollars, I'm on budget
We generally think the Avocado Green is capable for a heavy side sleeper up to about 260 or so. If that's roughly your weight (or less) then it could be a very good option for you.
Thank you for such a thorough review. I have watched this and the Happsy review. Their price points are very similar. I am so stumped between which one. Is there any leanings to either Avocado or Happsy or are they equal contenders? Thank you!!!
Also, I think you said the Happsy was a little more bouncy than avocado green but would that be true for the avocado eco as well? My husband and I have a latex mattress currently but he doesn't care for it and wants to go back to a more traditional spring mattress. He is predominantly a stomach sleeper. I'm a side sleeper but not picky and will just add a topper on my end.
Thanks for the kind words! And you're right - the Happsy and the Eco Organic are very similar models. We found the Eco Organic to be perhaps a touch softer than the Happsy with a similar level of overall bounce. Though we should say that if your husband doesn't like the feel of latex, then these might not be the best options for you. Have you looked at the Mattess Quiz on our website?
Could you review Naturepedic EOS, Parachute mattress, or Woolroom? There are hardly any reviews of these mattresses online.
Hi there -- Thanks for your comment. We do prioritize our reviews based on input from our readers, so your interest in these brands will certainly be noted.
Does Talalay have a man made, or synthetic, element to it? This was an excellent review!
Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Purists will tell you that the Talalay manufacturing process does require a small amount of chemical additives, so even when 100% natural latex sap is used, the resulting product is not technically 100% natural. It's hard to say what % of the final product this represents (and even latex manufacturers seem to disagree on the best way to characterize this), but there is no dispute that the resulting product is at least 95% natural, and personally I might estimate something closer to 99% natural. So if the difference between that and 100% is important to you, you ought to look for products made with 100% natural Dunlop latex instead (such as the Avocado Eco Organic mattress shown in this video). I hope that's helpful.
Nobody is reviewing Avocado’s Luxjury matteresses.
We'd like to get to these as well Steve! We'll put them on the list.
Not true!! The dip is 2” before they will honor warranty defect!!!
Hi Diana -- Wow, thanks for bringing this to our attention. This appears to be a recent change and is certainly a reduction in the value of their warranty. It looks like it is now 1.5" for the Eco Organic model (which is the mattress covered in this video) and for most of their other models, while it is now 2" for the Luxury Plush models. For the benefit of other readers, here are the full details on the Avocado warranty: www.goodbed.com/o/z/1147/avocado-warranty/
Thanks again for letting us know about this. We will update our information accordingly.
I am afraid my wife will eat my mattress
