Np m8. Want your transition into the community to be as smooth as possible. This writers community is probably the chillest around (unless you talk about what is or isn't cannon to the og universe. Very debated. If I could recommend one thing, it be doctor bright of the scp foundation. A man who watched his entire family fall apart because of his own father's irresponsibility and going through a joker arc after an accident that takes away the last thing he could of ever looked forward too. Like, the most tragic of the doctors outside of peanut butter.

General rule of thumb is to try and avoid the colorful animations. Most are either content farms, inaccurate, or both.

Be warned, The Rubber has some issues with presenting characters as being excessively sinister when it isn't really appropriate and it can mess with your view on the story. Also just generally skimming over important details.
Most people would recommend TheVolgun's SCP videos if you have the option. Lucia S also popped out of nowhere fairly recently doing some pretty good coverage of some of the more obscure ones. The only downside with the later is they don't do much visually for their videos.

The volgun adds the right amount if ambiance to make the stories actually hit. All these infomercial SCPtubers take you right out of the entry with the stilted recital and google slides animations.
@@euandunbar8050 It really depends on the SCP. I think TheRubber hit the mark when doing the mannequin and SCPExplained can work for some of the sillier stuff but the problem is that using the same approach for each one won't do every one justice.
TheVulgan works because they actually don't animate their entries, instead showing images and set pieces so your imagination can fill the gaps, which can heighten the experience.
9:45 actuali i think he meant warm/heat . because one of the effects the skull has on the host is making the skin look frostbitten , also the host loses all body fat which is sign of starving , which is why the host feels incredible hunger . its almost like its a tribal guy lost in a blizzard withfew other tribesmen starving and they decide to eat each other
Yeah we definitely need more Nux SCP Videos I came across Nux from an Uncle Ruckas reaction video and I have been loving all of the videos I watch! This is definitely my favorite series so far.

Hey Nux, this is prob a long shot but i highly recommend The exploring Series for some scp videos, especially his introduction to the scp universe and the different groups of interest videos. However id understand if you don't considering it may not be the most enjoyable for stream since they are mostly audio based but his videos are some of the best to really dive into the universe and my personal favs. Cheers!

While the SCP foundation has horrific, reality warping anomalies, from gods, to gigantic monsters, to undead horrors, to living creeepypastas, to ghostly legends, and creatures from pure imagination and lovecraftian madness. I do appreciate when folklore is included. Stories of creatures like the Wendigo, the Jersy Devil, or legends like that of Bloody Mary or the Bell Witch, reflect the history and culture of the people they originate from.
Considering the variety of legends about the Wendigo I kind of expected this SCP to be ALOT stronger

To be honest, I would stray away from the Rubber, the channels I suggest are
TheVolgun: Depends on the video for visuals, however, he goes reads the file all the way through and does excellent voice acting in a lot of them.
The Exploring Series: Depends on the video, very long videos but go VERY in-depth and explain whats happening, also they cover sometimes entire categories of anomalies
Dr. Maxwell: Covers more unknown SCP and does a good job voice acting and reading them
SCP ILLUSTRATED: Amazing on all ends, good visuals and voice acting, this is properly the best one for your type of content, I suggest from this creator their SCP-1730 series and SCP-354.

Thank you so much for saying this I've been trying to spread the word of why the rubber is hated by the SCP community. Reasons being 1) It's a content farmed owned by a big company named brainy entertainment PLT who has other content farm RUclips channels for other franchises like Friday Night Funkin for example. 2) How much stuff they get wrong and how much problems it has caused for those who care the community as newcomers relied on rubber's videos for SCP information and ignoring those who cared about the community due to familiarity bias and the fact rubber has more subscribers. After all I can only think of maybe 1 SCP creator that cares with over 1 million subscribers while the rubber abuses the algorithm by putting popular fictional characters in the thumbnails like the Colossal titan from Attack On Titan, the Big Daddy from Bioshock, Freddy Fazbear, and many more. Rubber is also funded by the father company when the algorithm catches on until rubber learns how to trick it again. 3) frequency of upload; the rubber releases a new SCP video every week and if you look at any other animation channel that makes good animations it takes months for them to upload, but because of this the rubber is highly suspected to have very poor worker conditions. 4) They have only responded to the backlash from those in the SCP community that care once and that was when they called them out for breaking the rules of the SCP learning commons because that could get them sued. 5) they change characters genders and pronouns all they time straight lining a lot of trans characters. Nux, you def gotta watch SCP-106, it's one of the most creepiest SCP's you'll see!
The difference between the 2 possible reasons that the skull could know those languages is that one way is that it knows based on its experiences as in it learned the languages itself over time and presence during the time period those languages were more widespread and common which hints at its age. The other way is that it is a product of its anomalous nature in that it knew the language because of supernatural fuckery by default.
TheRubber is actually a content farm. A lot if their SCP content is wrong, stolen content, or AI generated crap.

Crazy thing about the "so cold, must eat" statement isn't that ut's about its loneliness, but temperature.
According to several different folkloric recordings, the Wendigo is said to be cold in body temperature, down to having deeply frostbitten skin and a frozen heart. And the way you permanently kill one is even harder:
Take the body amd burn it, but the heart can't be cremated. It needs to be broken into pieces and trapped in a box, buried in four distant locations far away from each other, and consecrated by a shaman. If not, then the heart shards would crawl back together and form the heart again, and a new body would be made.
Worst part is that the traditional Wendigo is a very easy creature to make. Yes, I said "Make." Because a Wendigo isn't simply born into its wretched and cursed existence; one must BECOME a Wendigo. And according to myth, what one must do is eat his fellow Man, as that was, same with the Western European traditions, highly taboo and considered very wrong for many good reasons.

Since it’s almost Christmas, nux you have to do scp 4666. It’s literally one of the most fucked up scp of them all and you might find some enjoyment.

If you're in the market for existential horror then SCP-2935 might be up your ally
8:26 it's not hard to kill it. But it IS stronger than the average human, probably also faster, does NOT feel pain, it WILL keep killing and eating until the host is killed. (Also, does it regenerate? If it's not THIS video, doesn't mean it doesn't happen, the rubber sometimes forgets stuff when writing the script).
SCP-4999, one the most bittersweet SCP out there
one of my favorite SCP-3456 is The Orcadian Horsemen and would make one hell of a good horror movie with the right cast
