You can see that the girl is shy. She's only 14 and performing in front of a large audience. The way the brother is encouraging his little sister is so sweet. You can see how he gives her these facial expressions to make her feel confident and okay. This is something I really take pride in, being an American born Chinese. Mixing the chinese traditional values of looking out for our younger ones, and the confidence of being American.
This is what i've always admired about musicians. The little dancing and movements they do just amplifies their passion. My director when I was in high school would encourage us to dance during our solo performances and you could tell the one's who truly loved music by the way they moved when they played. Musicianship requires a passion that no other profession possesses in my opinion.
The audience doesn't get it! They're laughing at the way Nathan moves when he's playing. All good musicians do it. It's called PLAYING WITH EMOTION. I really like the video, though! Very nice!
Y’all both don’t get it. She’s 14 and her older brother is motivating her to play. So he is acting silly and making ppl laugh and focus on him giving her confidence. Notice their eye contact and how she’s just focused on him. He is by far the better musician and how do silly mistakes on purpose to help her grow and get more confidence. It’s actually really sweet.
All of you don't get it, the guy was having fun with the crowd as well and made them laugh on purpose, the crowd is not disrespectful, they are laughing with him
as someone who went to school and attended this performance, yes they are brother and sisters and two we laughed because of nathan's thamborine part ... everyone loved nathan's energy and charisma
i am currently in 6th grade orchestra playing the cello, i am inspired by these two people. i get goose bumps when I hear it played. Thank you nathan and clara!
They are a talented duo. Nathan is really great, and so is Clara. They have a prerecorded part that Nathan played, which is the cello part that you can hear without him playing. Even though you cannot hear it in the video, it makes a difference live. Great job you guys! Miss both of you! Keep it up!
Older brother taking all the focus off her and making her smile building confidence for her to play in front of a large audience. Notice when he does something silly she smiles too. It’s actually really sweet of him to be by her side playing. Notice how she’s just focused on him and he’s making her feel comfortable and him making moves and silly mistakes to take all the weight off of her.
The cello & bass in an orchestra actually wrap everything together, they keep everyone in order. Without them, it would sound like something's missing.
TheFates666 No actually they found it surprising that he could do percussion and play at the same time but he's actually using something called a looper. 1:10
I play violin and this really good! We learned this song in orchestra and this how the teacher sounded! Yes she was a little rough in some parts but everything sounded the way it suppose to. So she did really good, both of them did!!
WHY CAN YOU ONLY LIKE ONCE?!?!?! This was amazing. I'm getting a violin soon and after watching this I'm just blown away by the sound. Its AMAZING. Both players were perfect! Hope i can be anywhere near as good as these two! Love it(;
I play violin myself and i find it difficult to play! Considering the amount of effort and time it takes to get a song perfect they are very talented. Congratulations that is absolutely amazing !!!!
i remember when i played viola there was nothing better than hearing and feeling that horse hair rub against the strings with its sticky resin, and i can feel the viberation against my neck, such an amazing feeling
Thanks for sharing this! It was a fun piece that you both played beautifully!! Keep up the amazing work that you do! I can't wait to see more of your performances!
I am so inspired of this video. Every time i watch this video, I want to pick up my violin again and practice even though I am only a beginner. Great video :)
I've recently lost interest in the cello. but i'm finding inspiration from you nathan and the pianoguys bahah. Thank you for the fantastic video, keep up the outstanding music
I've tried with the guitar for ten years, but I just can't get better, nothing even close of what you see in this video. I keep on playing but with no hope of getting better, just enjoying songs amazingly played like this one :)
"for my amazing talents..." Humble. Very humble. I'm not in advanced orchestra, because there aren't enough kids in my orchestra class for even a regular orchestra (there's 13 of us: 2 basses (Me!:D), four cellos, three violas and three violins. Power to the bass clef.

Holy crap I love this comment
Yess
My daughter loves their performance very much! ( She also plays violin, and her brother plays cello)

No it's you who don't get it. The audiences' reaction is called EMOTION. What's wrong in expressing their joy?
Devika Lee ikr!! You just don't play the violin or viola standing still! You play as the violin and you move around! (I'm a violinist freak)

all of you don't get it because he and the audience only knows their real intentions 😂
Finally a concert where you can actually listen to the music instead of the constant girls screaming in the background that always ruin the music.
Talent show....
as someone who went to school and attended this performance, yes they are brother and sisters and two we laughed because of nathan's thamborine part ... everyone loved nathan's energy and charisma

I'm like about her age and i can't play like that. Great job both of you though.

Came for the music, stayed for the cuteness
I love seeing such passion in people so young, it's so inspiring. This generation has a lot to offer
Oh my gosh. . . that's amazing! Where in the world did you get the music for that!?
the look of pure joy on his face just makes me smile every time
Maravilhoso. Sentimento de celebração, contemplação!!!
Thats so sweet, he gives her encouraging smiles throughout the whole performance
I am also working on mastering this piece, lemme tell ya, it aint easy
WOW! tht was amazing!! I play the cello and I will never be able to reach that level of awesomeness. Keep it up guys! :)
2:35 - 2:45 Is my favorite parts omg

+Nathan Xayarath just was in a vlog on his channel check it out!

Incredible, the enthusiasm and passion shine through. Chase the dream and let nothing stand in your way.
Why is the audience laughing
because of nathan's awesome facial expressions xD
DjlisiEW I have good and funny facial formations, I'm also Asian. Lol

Because he was playing with the crowd
Sometimes that's what people do when they feel a lot and dont know what to do. I always take it as a compliment.
The cello & bass in an orchestra actually wrap everything together, they keep everyone in order. Without them, it would sound like something's missing.
are ther brother and sister?
RACIST!!!!!!!! T-T jkjk
i mean they have the same last name -_-
yeah they are
armando aju
wtf
It makes me tear up seeing a violinist so passionate about playing.
Why are the audience laughing??? THAT IS SO RUDE!
probably the way the the guy was moving.
Elijah Salvador he move with emotion many musicians do as well, its nothing new
He's being funny with the tamberine!
This... Is something that makes people happy.
Thanks, dude.
What's with the the people laughing?
They laughed every time a note was off.
TheFates666 No actually they found it surprising that he could do percussion and play at the same time but he's actually using something called a looper. 1:10
Theirs facial expressions. When i play with my friends, we give each each other weird faces.
PLEASE KEEP PLAYING. YOU ARE GOING SOMEWHERE. LOVE THIS!
Violinist could use a little work on tone in some parts.
Wasn't the best I've seen out there. But this was a few years ago so she probably has gotten better.
Pandrew OHler She's 14! Sheez, give her a break, she's a LOT better than many adults I have seen.
Didnt know her age.. I didnt mean to come off as rude, infact it was pretty good for the most part. Just little bit of constructive criticism.
I play violin and this really good! We learned this song in orchestra and this how the teacher sounded! Yes she was a little rough in some parts but everything sounded the way it suppose to. So she did really good, both of them did!!
You could use a little work on your beiber hair.
I'm still a beginner cellist, but you are an inspiration for me! Nathan, you are amazing and you too Clara!!!
the violin could use some improvements.
I've been replaying this over and over it's truely AMAZING!
i cant believe i went to school with him for 8 years! im so honored!
WHY CAN YOU ONLY LIKE ONCE?!?!?! This was amazing. I'm getting a violin soon and after watching this I'm just blown away by the sound. Its AMAZING. Both players were perfect! Hope i can be anywhere near as good as these two! Love it(;

I play violin myself and i find it difficult to play! Considering the amount of effort and time it takes to get a song perfect they are very talented. Congratulations that is absolutely amazing !!!!
Instead of saying that the guy or girl did more work, I'm just going to say that they both did a really outstanding job. Beautiful.
Awesomeness + Having Fun + Live Looping = Win at Life
