Christian Bale is a phenomenal actor, but I think playing someone who is universally hated has hurt his chances of winning this awards season. Maybe that shouldn’t matter, but I think it does. Meanwhile, Rami played someone who is absolutely loved the world over and totally knocked it outta the park with his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. Both actors are deserving of all the accolades they’ve received for their performances, but I give the edge to Rami Malek.

That is so true. He did a SAG interview where he told about how he almost gave up acting because he couldnt get roles besides terrorists or egyptian Pharohs or vampires. He realized that acting is in his DNA and he couldnt do anything else so he kept on persevering. Thank you to Sam Esmail who gave Rami the role of Elliot in Mr Robot which finally allowed him to show what an incredible actor he is and ultimately lead to Bohemian Rhapsody.
