Superb Tone as always 👏👏👏
Thanks so much Stevie! I've been using a Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig v2 for tone and I love it! Great little piece of gear. Thanks for watching and for the comment! I appreciate the support. Cheers
Great job & that's a fine bass you're playing.
Thank you JR! Lakland makes a damn good bass! Thanks for the comment and for watching. I appreciate the support. Cheers
Oh, that was perfect! Thank you for such a performance Thomas!
Thank you so much Raquel. So glad you enjoyed it. This was a fun one to play. Thanks for watching.
Wow, amazing cover bass master. Great performance. Sounds cool the bass especially those slides to the 12th fret. Two big 👍👍
Thank you so much Ed! I appreciate the kind words and support. This is a terrific bass line by Adam and a fun one to play. Thanks for watching, and check out the tutorial if you want to learn more. Cheers!
Fantastic Thomas. Love this thumping line from Adam. Great execution and love the tone. I see you’ve done a tutorial on it. Looking forward to learning this one. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you so much Sean! This has always been one of my favorites, and I've put it off for quite a while. The bass is so muddy on this song, it took me a while to dive into it. It's a much more complicated bass line than I thought, but a really good one and a fun one to play. A tutorial is posted and I added some time stamps in the description. My advice is to learn each part separately, and get them down, and then put the whole song together. You got this! Thanks so much for watching and for the support. I appreciate it.
Just quickly listening while at work, will be giving this one a shot! Thanks for the upload, great as usual 👍🏻
Thanks so much Stuart. Glad to hear you enjoyed this one and will be giving it a go. I have a tutorial posted as well that you can check out. It’s a fun one to play. Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.
That was a damn fine performance, Thom. I've always considered this bassline as one of Adam's more advanced basslines. There are so many different grooves and intricate little touches in there and they add SO much to the song's overall mood and structure. This would be the perfect song to use as an example for where the bass is extremely busy and constant but isn't stepping on anybody's toes. You freaking nailed it, man. Killer playing and a mind-blowingly deep tone. I will always remember this song for being the first ever song I learned without using tabs. It felt like I had conquered the world back then. 🤣😂 I really, really enjoyed watching you play this classic, man. AWESOME job. BASS ON!!!!!
Thank you so much Dani! I never realized how busy this bass line was until I learned to play it. It's so bassy and deep on the album, it's almost hard to hear the individual notes. Though you can definitely feel them. And I like how you put it, that it is busy but also stays out of the way. I think this has become my favorite AC bass line to play. As I was learning this, I came across some live versions, which are in G!!!???? That's quite a jump from E.
The tone is coming from a Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig 2 that I recently got. It records really well. I am really loving the compressor and SansAmp/EQ section. It also includes a Chorus, Fuzz, Octave and Envelope Filter - which are all fun to play with but take some time to get to know.
Thanks so much for your fantastic support!! BASS ON!!
@@thomasfioriglio Yeah, exactly!! I actually think that this bassline might be the most complex one on Achtung Baby. I just can't think of another one that's as busy or heavy. There's also The Fly and Zoo Station but they don't close to the intensity of this one. And are you serious?!?! IN G?!?!?! Damn!! That's a big jump!! How many is that? Like 4 intervals?!?! Man, I gotta take a look at a live version and cover one!! That's sick!!! Hahaha.
Sounds great! wonderful cover my friend! Awesome playing and tone!
also great tutorial!! thanks for wonderful sharing!
Thank you so much Tak! I appreciate the support my friend. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much Erwan. And I agree, one of the best songs off of "Achtung Baby" and a very driving and powerful bass line. Adam at his best! This song has always been a highlight every time it's been performed live, from Zoo TV to the Sphere. Thank you for watching, and yes, I did make a tutorial for this that is already posted. Merci my friend.
Nice one Thomas!!! The bass sounds so good on this recording. Very well played mate 🫡👍
Thank you Neil!! I used my new Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig 2 multi effect DI to record this. It's got a killer tone and lots of options. I am still getting used to using it, and I am still not sure if it's a keeper, but man, it does sound good. Thanks for the support and comment. I always appreciate it, mate!
@@thomasfioriglio I would keep it 😋
@@neilmorrow9756 😉
😊 thank you Thomas
You're very welcome Art. Thank you for watching and for the support, I appreciate it. Cheers!
can you tell me the model of your Levy's strap ?
It’s the Levy M4GF 3.5 inch Garment Leather Bass Guitar Strap and it’s fantastic. I have 3 of them. It is slightly padded so the width and the padding is really comfortable and great for bass. And the underside is suede so it has some grip to prevent neck dive if that is an issue. And it smells like leather 😃
Nice Thomas ❤
Thank you very much. I appreciate the comment and support. Thanks for watching!
