Love this!! My wife and I saw Don Ho in 2005 when we got married and he had us up on stage to sing a song with him!! He was definitely drinking the whole time!! It was amazing!!
Matt, where have you been hiding her? Terra was awesome. Funny, clever, engaged, beautiful. Wow, just wow. That outro, Terra wearing those springolators. Memorable.
The absolute best Mai Tais on Oahu are at Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman. They use premium Kohana Rum, fresh juices and passion fruit (lilikoi) honey foam on top. My husband does not like sweet frou frou drinks but he loves the Monkeypod Mai Tais; a perfected balance of all complex flavors - check it out next time you're at Monkeypod when on Oahu. I believe they also have locations on other islands. CANNOT miss one of these Mai Tais!!!
Thought I would listen to Don Ho on Am Music yesterday, while that happened, I remembered, I should make that "Don Ho mai tai recipe on the back of that glass I own (never made it before). Then went to YT & searched for "Don Ho mai tai glass" to see if anyone in YT land has a video....and there was your 51st or part 2 of 50th episode. I made the drink & watched your vid. Loved it. I also like rum, Tiki, and play guitar. Looks like I have 49 episodes to keep me busy now. Thx Spike, I found a new YT channel. What species of mint do U use?
That drink actually sounds really good! I imagine they say to stir the cocktail, because they want you to build it in the glass. Saves unnecessary steps, so you can get to drinking quicker. Spike, you are too funny with the film pop and scratchy film FX!
Hahaha... thanks for noticing the effects. 😂 and yeah, I bet you're right about the stirring thing. I probably didn't need to make it in a separate container.
What a fun one this one was. And as a traditional mai tai fan you have peaked my curiosity on wanting to try this recipe. Great job as usual and what a great guest Terra Jxn is. (I think I got the spelling right)
The amount of ingredients wouldn’t fit in the glass so that part doesn’t make since, love the channel and your music. I was stationed at Pearl Harbor in the early 1980’s and wondered all over Waikiki. Many Mai Tai’s, not a bad one in all of Waikiki, but I was a sailor. We found a pool bar with .50 cent mai tai’s, took my wife there 10 years later and was mad that they went up to .75 cents. Great times Mahalo
Terra was amazing! I vote for a "Pinups of the Breezeway" Mai Tai or Zombie glass! Sure to sell a bunch of glasses! I know how you must love shipping all of those glass orders! :-)
@@BreezewayCocktailHour Hire a temporary shipping person. Just add that cost to what you charge for shipping. I can't believe how fast you got the last set of glasses out with all of the stuff you are involved in. I can definitely see where that would be a time-consuming PITA though.
I was totally expecting the Suck Em Up Mai Tai to be a train wreck--nice surprise that it turned out tasty. Working my way through past episodes (in no particular order)--I hope Terra shows up again!
Would love to see my favorite cocktail come alive here sometime: Puka Punch amazing at Smuggler's Cove, in Martin's book, but also in Beachbum Berry's Total Tiki, loving your channel, glad I subscribed.
My Dad worked for Don Ho in the late 60's, after his day job ended he'd head to the beaches at Waikiki and search out attractive females. He'd offer them a complimentary front row seat for Don's show at the Polynesian Palace, and if they showed up Pops got a few bucks for each ticket turned in. No husbands or boyfriends allowed though!
1:30 man! I’m impressed with these photos. I’ve tried some amateur photography but i’m nowhere near that level. Do you have an instagram to promote your photography?
Would someone mind explaining why he uses Bacardi 8 for the “light rum”? I would usually grab something like Cruzan white if I saw light rum in a recipe. Thank you!
Also, i know it’s not very practical to do on the show with a guest, but the way I juice pineapple without a juicer is to blend cut up pineapple and strain it through a cheese cloth or nut milk bag. Then you can bottle it and use it for the next few days
How does it take you 34 minutes to make a Mai Tai? I'm not increasing your watch time especially if the entire video is you awkwardly flirting with some weird chick from Instagram.
Love this!! My wife and I saw Don Ho in 2005 when we got married and he had us up on stage to sing a song with him!! He was definitely drinking the whole time!! It was amazing!!
Great video! Terra seems like she would be a blast to hang out with. Sponsor! LOL! Cheers!
Thank you!! & I love me some bbq 🤤😍🔥
I love your channel, I've used both your guy's channels to really wow not only my Girlfriend but also her mother.
A one knife sponsor. 👌 and yeah, she's fun.
Nice touch adding the cigarette burn. And the dust spots.
Terra is great! Oh, and so is your show. ; )
You need to bring Miss Terra back soon. Great guest.
I'm sure she'll be back! 👍
Matt, where have you been hiding her? Terra was awesome. Funny, clever, engaged, beautiful. Wow, just wow. That outro, Terra wearing those springolators. Memorable.
Haha... she's been hiding herself from me! It's been three years!
Man! this was a good one. Loved the film affects
Terra seems to have an amazing personality. Looks like yall had a blast.
The funniest model you had as gest, so far!. Clever & funny!
Loved your special effects. I will have to try this version of the Mai tai.
Hahaha... thank you
Never tried it this way, I'm going to try it. Nice video.

Good to know!
You say you’re not a bartender. If this is true, I applaud you. You make drinks with more care and precision than most bartenders I’ve encountered.

Interesting variation on the original Mai Tai. Gonna have to try it this weekend...
Yeah, let me know what you think!
I like it!!! I also found another variation called the Surf Room Mai tai in Beachbum Berry’s Intoxica!

😂 shipping is torture for me. Cool idea though!!

“You can’t fake a film look” immediate film effects added, lol!
Hahahahahahahaa.... 😂😂😂
😏
beautiful drink! great show!
Show was awesome ha ha!!
I like her, she's been the most fun so far.
I was totally expecting the Suck Em Up Mai Tai to be a train wreck--nice surprise that it turned out tasty. Working my way through past episodes (in no particular order)--I hope Terra shows up again!
Reeeeed buuuuud! Gonna try this version of a Mai Tai tonight

End shots were SO sick.

Do you mind doing a episode on the Coconaut, I live in Portland and its my favorite dink at Hale Pale.
Cool!!! I have time to get another bottle of Orange Curacao!!!! Lol!!!
I know! We're gettin' low!

Thanks! It's all on my photography IG account, @spikeandthecamera
5k👌😁🥳🥳🥳🍹
Oh wow! We did it! We're famous!! Thanks for pointing that out ✨

Ah, that makes much more sense. Thanks!
Super ripe pineapples are also very juicy and softer.
Practicing delayed gratification tonight. Thanks anyway Matt. 👍 I’ll be sure to check back on this one! 🍹🗿🌺🤙
Thanks dude
Who is this "Matt" person, I keep hearing about?
This is very similar to the Duke's Mai Tai. It's not a "real" mai tai but its damn good.
Totally!
Dude, did you upgrade your mics? Never noticed the water running much in your other vids.
Nope, same mics. 🤷🏻♂️
Have you done a show about your aloha shirt collection? Impressive 🤙
Thank you! I have thought about that but I have no idea what I would say about them... I'm hardly an authority on vintage aloha shirts. 🤷🏻♂️
The ceiling vine strikes again!
Here's an idea: I live close to the Mai Kai and my favorite drink is their 'Jet Pilot' (I have a few stories). How about making it an episode?
I believe we have already featured the Jet Pilot on the show. You're lucky to have the Mai Kai so close to you!!
At 3:46 my Michigan is showing big time 😂 🤦🏼♀️. ‘Ope!
😂 after spending ALL of that time editing this video, I REALLY started to hear your accent.
@@BreezewayCocktailHour 🤣🤣
I have one of the Don Ho Polynesian Palace glasses.
Don Ho was a big deal when I was a little girl ❤️
Terra and yourself had some cocktails before the show, definitely became more obvious as it went on.
Lol! Busted 😂 but also it’s just who I am 😂👏
😂
Let's see, they had a few cocktails before the show to practice using the knife!
My grandma used to sing Tiny Bubbles when she got drunk.
Is this recipe listed above for two drinks?
Nope, just one cocktail 👍
Whoa!!!!! 14 oz. of Orange Curacao????
Hahahaha....
Spike, Terra is absolutely gorgeous but if you want to be a hand model, you need to shave your fingers! Lol!
I'm Phil.
Wow!!!! Not Dole in a can??!?!?!?
😂 not this time
don ho would ask you for your phone number lol
People don't know this...
Yeah, that was a pretty good line
Again…you are so bad at mint garnishes! What are you doing?! Lol

Cool bar this guy is cringe AF though.
