The Zen is my benchmark ball and planning to get a another until I saw the Gold Label and planned to replace my OG Zen until the both of you said that it's not a replacement but a good one-two punch. Thank you for the advice.
I've been throwing a Gem and a Zen for about a year now and what I've experienced with the Zen is, it kills on medium oil, but eventually it will start to burn up early and leave 10 pins constantly, I just bought a Gold Label to throw after the Zen. I've only thrown it once now and the lanes were dead dry, but a drop off oil and this ball killed it shots straight to the break point like it's skidding on oil and then turns hard, these are the lanes this ball is made for and, not Louis, but a lot of people are testing these balls on fresh oil and then trashing them, their doing it a dis-service, this ball's a game changer for me.

I'm looking for a new symmetric pearl to go under my zen. This shows that the gold label is an option. But I'm wondering about the gold label vs. the fate. I hope that comparison can be done.
When you do these comparisons with your buddy, what is the layout for him, as it would not be the same distances or angles for him compared to you on layouts ???
I'd like to see the Gold Label vs the Duo. I feel like that would be an interesting matchup. I'm debating between those two or the exotic gem myself. I need something that makes the corner just a little more than my IQ Ruby, which I absolutely love but sometimes I need cleaner/stronger. I tried the fate and I just dont match up at all w/that ball surprisingly because I'm two handed but I just don't care for the motion at all.
Lol ya my game makes no sense lol. I plant because sliding causes me knee and hip pain from old injuries. The whip is patterned after my favorite bowler in the 90s, Amleto Monacelli. I've been throwing it like this for so long now it's just my thing.

Depends on the oil for me. I used to stay left and bend my Zen with polish. They recently added 2’ ft of thicker oil to our house pattern. Now surfaced a 2000 grit I struggle to get it to get back to the pocket. My Zen stays in my locker 😢

My zen depends on the shot. If the oil is heavy, it stays home
