I am going to say that I have grown nearly deaf to most horror games and I am much more likely to get annoyed than scared. But for some reason the first Amnesia still makes me uncomfortable at some moments even though I have completed it 10+ times. Either they really have managed to do something very few horror games were able to replicate or I conditioned myself to be afraid because it was my first horror game.

Yeah, I heard a lot of similar opinions from different people I feel, they knocked it out of the park with dark descent
