Well, thanks a ton! At this rapid age where going deeper is unappreciated, I very much stay on the "go deeper" side and loved the video more after 4:00. Not a medical professional- just interested in how things work and most commonly used drugs are a perfect example.
In India we use Paracetamol for fever it works very well after 1-2 hours it removes the fever 🤒 I also take it after 2 hours my pain and fever was gone little
thanks a lot,i'm a freshman med.stud in Indonesia and tomorrow i have to presentation abt how paracetamol work, with this vid i can understand better.. hope me luck, the animation and back sound is so coll btw TQ
Stuck with what seems to be gastroenteritis, taking paracetamol to combat the fever and the headache. While waiting I think "Eh why the hell not, might as well find out how it works" very informative video, thanks!
The dehydration and losing electrolytes can give you a headache too. I know from having undiagnosed MCAD, which caused a reaction (nasty stomach issues that’s tmi) to gluten. I have loads of allergies but hadn’t realised. My gps weren’t taking any notice. Slimming world diet cracked the ‘case’ because soft fluffy white bread is naughty on that plan. But from all that I’ve realised that I was severely dehydrated and why & my electrolytes were really low too. Causing fever and headaches, oddly the fever symptoms don’t show on a thermometer… Hope you feel better soon, those symptoms make life miserable
@@lilacscentedfushias1852 thanks buddy, I overcame within a day. I was sipping on electrolytes all day but what really sealed the deal was the paracetamol
“NAC” (N-Acetyle Cysteine) is beneficial for paracetamol toxicity/overdose. I’d recommend having some on hand, it boosts your glutathione production rapidly, and it’s great for general daily health too.
I can probably explain that… You were probably tired from a combination of being exhausted from the pain during the day & possibly the night before you lost sleep length & quality as a result of the pain. Then the paracetamol made the pain at least manageable, so you slept well 😁
1st trip to the US from the UK, with a Deadly tooth & headache spending 20 whole minutes in CVS trying to find Paracetamol & having none of the workers not knowing a clue about what I was on about 😑😑
You win Jeopardy my friend. Though only 'acute' failure. Here are some facts: Aetiology varies significantly between different parts of the world. In the UK and the US, paracetamol overdose is the most common aetiology of ALF. Analysis of 2614 adult patients prospectively enrolled in the US Acute Liver Failure Study Group (ALFSG) between 1998 and 2019 showed that paracetamol hepatotoxicity accounts for approximately 46% of all cases. Paracetamol overdose accounts for nearly 66% of ALF cases in the UK. Paracetamol overdose appears to be equally divided between intentional and unintentional cases. Other causes of ALF include idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury (11%), acute hepatitis B (7%), autoimmune hepatitis (7%), ischaemic hepatitis (7%), and acute hepatitis A (1%). Up to 12% of cases remain indeterminate.
I took a load over the past few days for my concusion it helps a lot { would not want to take too many} How does it work for low key diabetics? & there Tirst! Ty …. chou
What does easier to say have anything to do with anything and why would such a difference be mentioned the first, very first part of your piece? I bet you have an issue with how some people say Aluminum. I believe I shall find somewhere else to explain to me how a drug works. Thank you very much and good day sir.
If a medication is frequently used it makes sense for it to be a simpler and easy to pronounce name. That’s just common sense, ask most people what the names of their reoccurring prescription medications are and the can’t. Why? Because they’re long, difficult to pronounce Latin names, particularly the less well known ones. Ask them to tell you what they’re prescribed for then you probably aren’t going to get a precise, informative description as most people don’t have a clue. Which, to me sounds crazy as I always read the leaflet in the medication box & also research it myself from trusted sources.
Ibuprofen makes me feel weird, like I can feel it numbing my body and it's just plain uncomfortable. If I can take paracetamol instead I absolutely will.
Ibuprofen is one of the worst for your stomach. Most NSAIDs are bad for your stomach, but ibuprofen especially can wreak havoc, even doing permanent damage.
it's a neurotoxin, just like all pain killers, in Australia slow release high dose paracetamol (panadol osteo) is given to most elderly and anyone with arthritis, nearly 6000mg per day, it can cause cold intolerance and many other effects. Paracetamol is not good for you. ever.
@@Mzreeferchiefer I agree wholeheartedly! It does absolutely nothing to me or for me. It certainly does not reduce or take away any pain for me, yet others believe in it.

I have consistently been on it for 1 1/2 years and it has defiantly caused some weird things, mostly mental.
Please see a doctor, looking in from the outside it seems you have something else going on too. I hope you’re doing better now

PANADOL
Thank you
What happened to the human organs when you took more than what you are supposed to take?
Liver failure resulting in toxin build up
Hi
What damages your liver more, alcohol or Tylenol?
Paracetamol has a much more acute effect. Alcohol takes a long time.
My Nan tricked me with jelly babies :/
Can you drink alcohol wen take paracetamol
If you want your liver to die faster.
Uk same as Tylenol Canada
Way cheaper to buy than Tylenol it’s uk answer to Tylenol use un uk
Nice
Paracetamol never works on me
Not on me either. I won't even bother taking it. I was once told that it harms the back of the person using it.
