A tourist walks along the banks of the Thames, taking in the sites such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Then out of nowhere comes Andy, straight into a swing out. She dances bemused before noticing a few more dancers around town.. Visit the sites of London, Tower Bridge, The Millennium Bridge, St Pauls, Primrose Hill, Spitalfields Market, Big Ben and The London Eye captured as the backdrop to the Solo Charleston, Tandem Charleston, Lindyhop and Aerials in London.

I've always wanted to see a swing dancing short and never realized it :D
It remind me of the way it felt when I visited London and there were free expressive scenes on the street, such as people walking by and inviting me to walk with them, seeing a couple embracing on an escalator, men calling out lovely if I said hello , and a musician dressed in an animal costume playing heavy British rock in the Tube(subway) for money. It was Christmas time. 1993.Loved it.
This was brilliant!! Very whimsical and wonderful, plus the style it was shot in was beautiful, and the transitions were smooth. The contrast of colors against the scenery was also really cool. It makes you want to break out into spontaneous dance!

Great introduction, well done script, nice editing, great set-up, thank you for uploading. May I suggest to include more of the lower body (leg/foot work) if you are filming dancing as it is an "essential" part of Swing Dancing (all dances actually). Nice work, Ciao, L

Thumbs up although I'm too late to vote. As for the camera-work: Fred Astaire insisted his dance numbers be filmed full-frame. Let's see those happy feet. Less good are headshots in a dance number.

If you dance well, almost ANY man or woman will gladly dance with you - and maybe more. In my experience with a lifetime of dancing is that it the absolute best way to meet women, and make friends, too. I have found that the East Coast style of swing dancers are the friendliest - the West Coast style of swing dancers, not so much.

Yes, but this is Swing Patrol, it's aimed at a particular kind of person if you want to be a purist, there are other longest established independent and dedicated teachers and club nights out there.
I don't particularly like how this looks, and it's really easy to be snobby about it in just the same way I used to be snobby about modern jive, but I guess it has it's place and it's getting people dancing. Is to say that dancers who have learnt with swing Patrol do stand out on the dance floor, but not necessarily for their finesse.

King Arthur Swing is one of the many possible rhythms in jazz. On the other hand some swing isn't really jazz at all ...
