I LOVE Robert's technique, he is the only massage therapist on this channel that really uses pressure, but does so in such a soothing and healing way. Athena was the opposite with the pressure, but her lymph technique is spot on and was so relaxing as well. Please do more videos with Robert.
I feel more relaxed just watching that! He was so knowledgeable, professional, natural, made it look so easy! Im a massage student and would love to see more of Robert's videos, post more please!
Robert, you and one other guy on this channel are some of the best I've seen on youtube. I have incorporated your healing techniques into my practice. I'd love to see videos with larger male models with very tight fascia. All the instructional models are light, easy to move and manipulate, and their tissues actually move, soften and release fairly easily. I'd like help working with muscular and/or overweight, sturdy men with thick sheets of fascia that are reluctant to move. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.
Amazing!I recently decided to make a career out of one of my hubby (massaging) via a friend's advise (a massage therapist).I just finished my basic massage therapist training and will kick off the advance stage soonI have been watching your videos and learning new hand strokes, moves and techniques.I'm Presently based in FCT Abuja, Nigeria.Thank you for your videos.
+Robert Gardner I like your relaxed conversational style and personality, plus you clearly know your stuff. Psychetruth need to lock you down make you a permanent stay here. All the best bro.
Great technic. I used to do the traditional thai massage on the floor and i'm struggling to do it on the table. Thank you for your video which helps me to have the ideas how to work on the table. Excellent!
robert , you have moved mat based, body work forward significantly. I love your willingness to explore different modalities, to see what is useful and effective. your techniques have definately permeated thru my practice now. thanks robert.
This is great work. Thank you for the inspiration I've been looking for in my practice to work outside of the box a little bit. Can't wait to see more from Robert!
So I'm done now. 😃 The between the legs thing I personally didn't even notice looked like anything. I admire the fact that there are several ways to approach an Individual's situation. ppl just need the release, the help and that's all that counts 😊
Rebekah Funches I agree with you. As long as you do it in a clinical fashion and don't come across as nervous or awkward, the clients will not mind your techniques as long as it is effective.
Rob if you ever happen to be in England or if I ever happen to be in Texas, my muscles would love a massage from you! I realise that's very unlikely give the thousands of miles!
I like the videos with Robert! I enjoy watching his Thai style of massage. Also I like the stuff he talks about he is nice to listen to. It looks like it would feel ohhh so good.
Robert @12:40 are you aiming for that sweet spot of firm enough to get into the muscle, but not so firm that the muscle contracts on impact? If so are you going by feel, sound or combination of the two? Also, how much of the force are you actively generating vs letting gravity do the work for you, and allowing the arm / fist to simply fall? Probably 90% of my self massaging consists of tapping techniques, and I'm always exploring ways to save my shoulders, and have them do as little work as possible.
+Robert Gardner Thanks for the insight, Robert. I couldn't find much online about Reboot massage, but to me the practitioner is more important than the style, anyway. If someone listens well to the client and has a good feel for things, then they're going to do a good job, and you do both of those very well. I have quite severe M.E, so getting a massage is out of the question; even a light 10 min reflexology session left me considerably more fatigued, for a week after, than I am anyway. fortunately, if I self massage I never let go of more tension / energy than I can handle. However, I've had to train myself to use the absolute bare minimum of effort, and so put a lot of emphasis on letting gravity do as much work as possible, and always finding ways you support my arms by resting elbows on the legs etc... An upside to this is that I've developed a very high understanding of my body, but there's always more to learn, and you seem like a guy whose brain is worth picking. Do you do much self massage on yourself, and if so, do you have any little tricks that work well at optimising efficiency?
love love love the technique i would just watch the ankle or maybe let some therpists know to find out from their clients if theyve ever injured the ankle
back in the day two actors couldn't be in bed together, the wife and husband had their own beds, then they could be in the same bed but one had to have their foot on the ground while in bed, now both can be in the same bed together like a normal couple, times change great vid, very informative too
+Joy Scola I definitely could see that in the video. You were very relaxed and as Robert says, his job is to provide the intimacy of touch and he really does that in a great way.
I'm soooo jealous of Joy right now. I sooooo need something just like this. I wish I can't hire this guy so he can come to my house and work on me for a couple hrs. Ahhhhh.... Sounds so good.
Another superb video by Robert and Joy! I would love (and I'm sure many others would as well) to see you work on Joy again and again. The two of you are a great tandem. A request: can you show one where you work through her tickle spots (like her hips/iliac crest after 19:10, and maybe her abdomen, axilla, etc. in a future one) and just let her laugh her way through the jumpy spots? I enjoyed your technique with the knee between the knees thing, but I would have liked to see you just work through her giggles and jumpiness and let her laugh it out. This is what happens to me whenever I get ticklish during a massage, my therapist just lets me laugh through it, and I'm totally okay with it. Unless Joy specifically says "Ow ow ow!" or "that feels terrible, please stop" why not just let her laugh and do what you gotta do? I'm pretty sure Joy can take it! :)
If by any chance Robert you are reading this message if you could please help out in any way possible. I have never in my life gotten a massage but lately I'm in desperate need for one my body is so tight and over stressed so I'm in desperate need. My question is if there is any questions I should be asking that will help me know if a place will have good massage therapist or not I live in midland, tx and the only well known massage place here is Massage envy but I have heard nothing but negative experiences from people that have been there so I'm apprehensive about booking with them and when I google not many places show up. I'm hoping you guys have friends or connection here in the midland Odessa area if not what can be searched or asked.
and you couldnt, being a Male sit like that between her legs...lol at Massage Envy. That would be grounds for dismissal...lolLooks good tho @ 24:00 and onward
so true. I used to work at Massage Envy so i know. Im all about the long Term and staying in the business, and proper body mechanics too. I like it, and like u stated its a shame we get a great tool taken out of our tool box.
+Roman66441 Robert is a professional and is extremely respectful. It's unfortunate that our bodies have been made to be oversexualized and touch a faux pas.
People get so squirrelly about everything nowadays, rather annoying. I feel like if your client needs some extra work in a certain area do it. Yes you maybe twisted in some unholy position that happens to be working that area that needs it, go for it. I get the rules, I do, however if you are and client are at ease with techniques or positions have at it. I've only had one massage in my life and it was on a cruise ship, very reserved. Felt nice to me but I would rather this type of work here.
I know it's directed at topdan. But I personally like the theory and more scientific information that greg provides. For me I like learning why things are tense and why certain methods work better in certain situations. I like know what could be the source of my pain. How to avoid it and manage it. He also seems to be a bit more focused on the subject and their discomfort. I understand it's not easy balancing the two. Hopefully that was constructive for you.
I'm fairly sure any genuinely medically trained professional would lose sleep over this. As if Robert shows any signs of having looked after his own body.

I love Robert.. He is so professional and informative in these videos.

Are you related to the former heavyweight boxing champion of the same name?
+Robert Gardner I was asking Jess Willard hahaha
Lol I don't think so
Love Robert's technique and his "vibe" (for lack of better term) is so warm, safe, and comforting. So glad he's a regular in videos now!
I feel more relaxed just watching that! He was so knowledgeable, professional, natural, made it look so easy! Im a massage student and would love to see more of Robert's videos, post more please!

I enjoyed this throughly, and learned a lot from it. I'm looking forward to incorporate this into my work.
THANK YOU!
you're really really good at your job!
Robert is awesome. Nothing more to say! Keep on doing your thing brother.
+Robert Gardner I like your relaxed conversational style and personality, plus you clearly know your stuff. Psychetruth need to lock you down make you a permanent stay here. All the best bro.

Robert and Gregory are my favourites on this channel, which surprises me because I always thought I found female voices more relaxing!
His pants look comfortable AF, I need those.
nice work Robert!
I do a lot of barbell lifts, I need this so bad. My hips were really immobile. Yoga helped a bit
Great video ..massage & conversation
You are an amazing therapist
'Is it too much Joy?' No, it never is.
nice technique . I already liked the video.

Robert is amazing

great vid, very informative too
Never seen a more pervy method on this channel.
I believe he said he would usually do this on a mat instead of a table.
Would be neat to see a video of how he does this on a mat
Very relaxing to watch. Somehow the color of her outfit was soothing as well. Weird.
Where is he located and does he help folks with sciatica pain?
Wow, time flies. Joy is probably Texas soccer mom by now.
i just need this like rn!
I loved the gluteal massage parts. I love having my glutes worked on!
+chornahalk I don't know who that is. I don't watch that show. I'm just me.
+chornahalk Why do you look like some random commenter on youtube ? (btw..takes one to know one !)
+Robert Gardner Fortunately for me, Missy *does* work on glutes. :-)
I like how respectful he is, even with her half in his lap.
+Moddy Dhoo Robert is always respectful and makes me feel comfortable during sessions.
+Joy Scola I definitely could see that in the video. You were very relaxed and as Robert says, his job is to provide the intimacy of touch and he really does that in a great way.
if joy is having problems with all the attention she receives what hope is there for for the rest of us !
+nigelcb1300 Problems with all the attention I receive? lol How so?
Joy = ❤
I need a glute massage right now. I strained something working out.
I'm soooo jealous of Joy right now. I sooooo need something just like this. I wish I can't hire this guy so he can come to my house and work on me for a couple hrs. Ahhhhh.... Sounds so good.
+Jay1637 Haha! So worth it! His sessions are a STEAL right now!

"How much pressure, how much can she handle?" 😂😂😂
Robert is the ultimate Mr. Sensitive Ponytail Man, and I wouldn't have him any other way.
❤️ Robert

I don't know,but seems a little to friendly...hope he's buying her dinner after lol
+Roman66441 Robert is a professional and is extremely respectful. It's unfortunate that our bodies have been made to be oversexualized and touch a faux pas.
Beautiful body, legs, feet.
To me, It’s hard to practice If the patient is a heavy build person such as lifting the leg
I prefer your methods because you add pressure but make sure the person is happy with it.
I admiring to have that knowledge
That's some deep chub n tuck
What I would love to know is where Robert gets his pants
What kind of heels was she wearing to hurt her body this badly? Try a different type of heel, or perhaps put a gel sole in them
Keep your feet safe, don't do it!! Haha

Completely unrelated but.. is Gregory Gorey ever coming back? Not liking this guy as much, sorry.

I know it's directed at topdan.

+Marcus Tullius Cicero yah expect u wont get modles to massage :p
msms47 *cries in the corner
I'm fairly sure any genuinely medically trained professional would lose sleep over this. As if Robert shows any signs of having looked after his own body.
maybe he needs to take care of his own body before others
As a Massage therapist myself of 18 yrs. You do need to take care of your body first. I didn't receive any negative from the above statement.
A good one after too long time. Robert Gardner, you cool
