Hello folks! I work as an echocardiographer at a hospital. On a daily basis I visit multiple patients and their families in their rooms. For months I have been greeting everyone with “Hello Folks” and today It was finally reciprocated with “let’s go folks”! We then had a great time laughing and talking about the show. Nate, Aaron and Back Scratcher- keep up the good work! Your show brings complete strangers together!

Hello from Atlanta, GA. Nateland has helped me get through sleepless nights and post-partum baby blues. It is exactly what I needed after the birth of my first child, a pandemic baby, because we couldn't have visitors in the hospital and felt otherwise very lonely.
Thanks for the laughs and please don't quit making great content.

My very first comment on youtube after many years of viewing. This urge to write this has been so profound, I finally gave in! My husband is a huge fan of all of you and especially Nate. He has turned into a broken record of repeating random parts of Nates specials and intertwining them in our lives. We play them on repeat multiple evenings every week! He feels like Nate could be his best friend! You have given us so many laughs and help us feel cozy at home. He also swears he almost ran into you year and years ago in Tennessee. I come to you now, with my very first youtube comment, to ask you to give my husband, David, a shout out. He listens to every one of your shows on Nateland. He puts his headphones in on his long drives for work. Tells me about them later that evening. I'm also pretty sure he would love me forever and ever if you somehow see this and mention him! He loves when you guys review the comments :) He was a marine for 12 years, an amazing husband, wonderful father, currently works for the VA, and secretly wants to be nates best friend! Thank you so much for reading
Edit: I guess adding this part counts as my second comment! Just wanted to add that he has zero idea that I am asking for a shout out! So if by some grace of god you mention him he will get the surprise of a life time! Thanks again :)

Fun fact: I don't really like podcasts and this is the only one I listen to. I listen every week! It's the highlight of my week! My coworkers think I'm crazy because I'm always cracking up to myself at the rants Nate goes on about and Aaron and Bonzai just have to wait for Nate's fuze to burn out. Keep it up guys!

I was watching the live episode with my Dad, and he said to me. "Aaron is younger than you and already has his life together. He's married, seems responsible". I told him he paid for a gym membership for 4 years without ever going once, except to cancel. His response, "That's a responsible decision".

So my wife and I drove from Memphis and just left Nates show in Tupelo and he was AMAZING!! Nate, I was the tall bald guy on the 4th row that yelled out “Let’s go folks” at the end and you pointed at me! That hour was just as good if not better than both your Netflix specials. My wife laughed the entire time and afterwards she said “He’s funny. I see now why you listen to him every week!” Leanne was a hoot too. She’s very funny. Thanks for the laughs and can’t wait to hear another new hour.

    Nateland | Ep #57 - Aaron's Alaskan Vacation
These episodes never fail to make me laugh, not only while listening, but for days and weeks later. Tip of the cap to Baguette for keeping Nate on topic, and to Aaron for holding it together sometimes. I'm glad I ran into the Instagram post last year of Aaron comparing a million to a billion dollars. It's been a heck of a ride!
P.S. You guys inspired me to grab tickets to Zanies on my last trip to Nashville. It was my buddy's bachelor party, and we had a blast (shout out to Sam Morril). Thank you and let's go, folks!

I was hysterically laughing during Nate’s reasoning for why it should be pronounced valid-itity instead of validity. After I recovered I remembered it a few minutes and started laughing again, just in time for Nate to try and pronounce podiatrist. I lost it! Just fantastic! Thank you all for continuing to be the bright spot in my Wednesdays.

Nate brought back memories when he said he was performing in Tupelo, Mississippi. I roofed houses in Mississippi in 1972 and we were doing a job on an apartment complex in Tupelo. No safety gear back then except cleats and two-by-fours nailed into the roof. One of my cleats broke lose and I slid down the roof before getting a grip about a foot from the edge. Had I fallen off this 5-6 story roof I'm fairly sure I'd have died. I received my draft notice the very next day and I decided God was sending me a message. Enlisted in the Air Force and served for 31 years with no regrets.

Hello Nate, Aaron, and Bothered. I made a friend who recently moved here to Hawaii, but was having a hard time finding a place to stay. I let him stay at my studio apartment the night before he moved to Austin. I turned on your latest podcast to watch on RUclips and was pleasantly surprised when he responded, "Hey, you're one of the folks? I love Nateland." We got folks in different area codes promoting the podcast.

Hello folks! As a Rhode Islander, I never get to wonder how many of my state would fit into a place because no one ever seems to fail to include that information in a story. For example, the news has informed me that the biggest fire in Oregon WAS a third the size of Rhode Island, but is now more than half the size of Rhode Island. And whenever a piece of ice breaks off some glacier, it’s always “bigger than the state of Rhode Island!” Whatever. We apparently have over 200 Dunkies though, which is good because coffee is important and the idea of driving over 20 minutes for an errand is anathema to us.
Anyway, this is an amazing podcast. I love valididity, and hope to use it often.
P.S. Pretty sure Bortles is my spirit podcaster because I too want the Iditarod dog’s autograph and am often worried.

This morning, I was sitting at the kitchen table with my 5-year old son playing nearby shooting his dart nerf gun. He hit the target and shouted LET’S GO! and I almost spit out my coffee. I then proceeded to say folks immediately to myself. Anytime I watch / listen to Nate, I’m always reminded of my first exposure to his comedy, which was actually on a different podcast by Moshe Kasher called Hound Tall Discussion Series. The episode was on Time Travel, and I’m not sure if Nate remembers this, but they get right into the topic and Nate’s first words as a member of the panel when Moshe asks him what he thinks are “This is a lot”. He also makes a hilarious comment about the other comedian’s use of the phrase “pet passion”. I was hooked on Nate’s comedy from that point forward, and was lucky enough to see him live at my local comedy club at the mall in Syracuse, NY. Please come back to Syracuse!

My girlfriend went into labor and on the way to the hospital she couldn’t stand the sound of her own agonizing groans, so she told me to put on some “background noise.” I came to RUclips and clicked on the first podcast in my Watch Later playlist, and after 20 minutes of watching this episode she asked me, “what are they even talking about?” The only response I could think of in the moment was, “well, I mean nothing really…” Needless to say she looked confused and went back to groaning and dealing with the pain, and I went back to listening to the best podcast about nothing! Thanks for the many laughs guys!

To avoid the waterboard-level torture of listening to someone tell a long story about their kid, here’s the short version: The wife & I are in the den watching Nateland, our 3 year old daughter, youngest of her 3 brothers, is nearing a cat 3 tantrum, relentlessly asking daddy to come upstairs to the playroom to play kitchen. Skip ahead to: kitchenette now in the den, a toddler-quake of Reelfoot magnitude following my repeated attempts at stalling “Your dinner is getting cold daddy!”, toddler glances at TV and says “Daddy, are you watching PANGUIN?”
    Hilarious for 2 reasons:
#1: We are west Tennesseeans, hailing from Atoka (shouts to T county!), where the pronunciation of the first syllable in penguin is unanimously “PING”….#TeamNateAndWorriedBiffTannen
#2: We love babies so much that this is our 4th, meaning we haven’t touched this kid’s baby book since the day we brought her home from the hospital. I wasn’t sure she even had one. Proud to report that she did, and now our Nateland-quoting princess now has at least one “memory” in her baby book.

Nate mentioning how much he loved Madea made me think that him and My Dad would get along so well. My dad is almost 60 and has never really left Louisiana, pretty small town mindset.
The first time I introduced him to my current girlfriend, he spent 30 minutes explaining how great a Hallmark movie he recently saw was. My girlfriend was floored by how passionate he was about explaining it. All I could say was that my dad is a simple guy.
For perspective, my dad also hates when football players are too flashy or dance after a sack.

I was a tried and true “Hello Folks!” folk. It’s warm and inviting. However, this past weekend I went to Six Flags with a youth group. One of my fellow leaders took the rides too seriously. He was screaming “let’s go!!” “Is that all you got??” and “come on bring it!” On the roller coasters like Lieutenant Dan during the crazy storm on the boat in Forest Gump.

Northern Exposure may be the greatest TV show...ever... As funny as it is soulful. Sad that majority of people have never heard of it even. And yes, it's pronounced how Bates said it/same as the Italian city. The characters actually call their region (supposedly, outside of Anchorage) "the Alaskan Riviera" bc it's so gorgeous. The show was filmed in Roslyn, Washington, but set in Alaska. Beautiful wilderness, regardless.

As a retired lieutenant colonel in the army I have to disagree with breakfast, there was no talk of a draft during the gulf war, zero. Also, I am fairly certain he would have lacked every physical and at least some of the mental attributes draftees are required to possess, so he would have been fine.

I was a senior when it was happening and there was "talk." But it was all hypotheticals from just people remembering and knowing there were drafts from previous wars. Especially considering most of us in my age range had fathers or uncles that were drafted into Vietnam. So the chatter was there. Even some media seemed to "theorize" and throw out hypotheticals and what-if's. But I don't recall any military leaders saying it was a possibility.
Obviously any fear or apprehension went away after Day 1. Lol

As a practicing child psychologist I can’t condone violence against kids. However, that being said I do agree with Nate and Madea, I also miss hitting children.

How is it that when Nate reads the ads on the pre-recorded episodes it’s flawless but when he reads them live it’s like watching a baby giraffe learn how to walk? I’m just guessing that 20-30 takes and then a lot of cutting and editing is required to get those flawless commercials.

I had to look up Kangaroo Jack because i couldn't remember who was in it, but remembered the name and could even envision the poster with a kangaroo wearing sunglasses looking like the old Camel Joe. The IMDB page made me chuckle with the "awards" section. Apparently the movie had 1 Win and numerous nominations. But, not exactly the "awards" a performer/writer/director would necessarily be proud of.

As a dentist, I think that most people are anti-dentite’s until they’re stranded in the middle of nowhere with a raging tooth ache. Sorry to hear about the root canal, Aaron. I knew you had your gout and adversion to working out but I would always tell myself you at least had your oral heath in check. Oh well. Seriously though, Love you guys. Keep up the good work!

Was about to write a comment making fun of Nate saying Alaska and Montana are the only three states he's ever been to when I replayed it and heard "Wome" his southern drawl was so thick I didn't realize he said Wyoming! At least he actually can count to three!

When reading the comment about the professor comparing one of his student’s to his late son, me and my wife were shocked Nate, Aaron and Brownie didn’t realize that the son is probably dead! The cherry on top is when Aaron said “ My son is a loser!” Y’all keep me laughing, keep up the good work.

I have an embarrassing story about Alaska transportation. I went to visit my ex in Alaska for two weeks one year. He was mining gold out in the middle of nowhere. The only way there was with a little 3 person prop plane. We were not allowed to go anywhere outside with out a gun. We had to burn our trash miles away to keep bears away. Anyway, they were nice enough to let me help out and pay me in gold while I was there. After all that, I took the little prop plane back to Fairbanks Airport and I immediately realize that I forgot my purse back at camp. I had to have the boss send a prop plane all the way back to camp just to pick up a PURSE because I would have been able to get on a regular plane with out my ID. I felt so bad and they couldn't have been happy either but they were nice about it to my face atleast.

I have a terrible cigarette ash story. Long story short as a kid I loved Dr Pepper. Grabbed a nearly full can by my grandmother’s chair. Took a big swig and to my surprise Dr Pepper was paired with ashes from my grandmother’s cigarette. Lesson learned: if there’s a full can of Dr Pepper by grandmas chair make sure it’s not subbing as an ash tray.
