Jay giving Aaron a good verbal beat down over his Google skills brought me so much joy! Aaron is always getting on Brian then 10 foot tall Cutler comes in and tips the table on him. Love it guys!

I’m honestly amazed by the fact that Nate, Aaron, and Band-Aid sat down with Jay Cutler for two hours and don’t once mention Cutlery. The ball was on a tee fellas! Best show around- excited to see you in VA soon, Nate!

I've been doing standup for only 2 years. In that time I've been booked on festivals, headlined shows, and worked with Greg Warren and Dusty Slay.
I'll even be hosting for Aaron Weber at The Grove in December. I went to my family reunion on Labor Day and my cousin congratulated me on having my comments read on the podcast. Thank you for finally giving me credits that my family can appreciate!

My husband and I both surprised each other with Nate Bargatze tour tickets. That is true love, folks! We are a tad obsessed with this podcast to say the least. Our friends get tired of us constantly making Nateland references. Thanks for the laughs Nate, Aaron, and Babbling Bates! See you at your show in DC! Let’s go folks!!!!!!

Less than two hours after finishing this episode, I was bored and randomly went to "The Atlantic" website for the first time in months, after remembering they sometimes have interesting articles that are easy for simple folk to read. To my surprise, right there on the HOME PAGE was a thumbnail with a sketch that looked eerily similar to Nate, and an article called "The Nicest Man in Stand-Up"! I read through it, and then got ready to share the link on Facebook with everyone, until I remembered that two nights ago, at a family dinner, I quoted one of your jokes or something from the podcast, and my sister-in-law looked at my wife and said "You were right, he's addicted and needs therapy". As Jesus said, "even a prophet isn't welcome in his hometown."

One fact about Indiana that you guys missed is that it is in 2 separate time zones. The counties closest to Chicago (including Valpo) are in the Central Time Zone and the rest are in the Eastern Time Zone. When I taught in that area I had a student that would leave his house at 8 to get to school at 730.
Indiana is also where I received the best compliment I have ever received. I was playing HORSE with some older guys. They asked where I played basketball in highschool. When I responded that I attended a small Christian high school in Illinois they said, "You don't shoot like you are from Illinois." (They assumed I was a native Hoosier based on my jump shot)
Also, Jay is right. Popcorn corn is a different variety. Even the fields look different. Orville Redenbacher did dress like his picture on the box.
    I'll go proofread this now.

Nate scolding Bodywash that this is a "clean podcast" had me rolling. That episode of seinfeld is immediately what i thought of as Aaron was explaining the House storyline.
Especially with Derek Jeter just being inducted into the hall of fame. All i can think of is the scene where george is teaching the Yankees how to improve their hitting and jeter says, "we won the world series" and george responds snidely, "in 6 games."

Jim Gaffigan is from Chesterton, Indiana. Being from LaPorte, I WISH we had Jim but not from LaPorte. We do have Doctor Scholls the shoe insole guy and Belle Gunness a female serial killer.
And Gary, Indiana is about 35 minutes away and I can agree Gary is scary! It has one of the highest crime rates in America.
We have to drive through it on the way to Chicago and no bathroom breaks, are ever made there.

Hello folks! I just started at a new job this week, I’m very excited and was very lucky to get the position. My new boss will occasionally say hello/hi folks when she joins meetings or in her emails. I want to reply “Let’s Go Folks!” so badly to see if she is one of us, but I’m still getting to know her and want to leave a good first impression and not sound like a crazy person. So Cassy, if you’re listening, LET’S GOOOOOO FOLKS!

Another famous movie that spent some time in Indians is A League of Their Own. A lot of the game scenes were shot in Huntingburg, where I live. It’s about 20 minutes north of Santa Claus. However, I grew up in French Lick, Indiana. My Econ teacher in high school was in the movie A League of Their Own. He played Stilwell, the little kid always causing trouble. In class we called him Stilwell all year. Never called him by his actual name.
Also, if you want to do a deep dive on my hometown French Lick I’d be glad to talk about it on Aaronland.

I was on my way to work this morning at 3:30AM on a road where I have seen deer crossing in the past. I always think about this when I am on this particular stretch of road, what I would do if I hit a deer, etc. Literally 5 minutes later Nate, Aaron, and Bridesmaid talk about the exact situation I was experiencing. I cannot tell you how UNCANNY this is literally every week. Every episode I hear either has something to do with something I am thinking about or experiencing or will think about or experience in the future. Point is... Nateland is prophetic. It’s basically full-time magic. Thanks for creating my favorite podcast. Looking forward to the live dates in October -Ryan

I once taped a Kentucky-Tennessee basketball game back in 2008. I told my friends to not say anything about the game. One of my friends blew it, and told me Kentucky won. As a Kentucky fan, I was mad he told me what happened, but happy that my team had won. Turns out, the friend was lying, so I watched the whole game only to watch us lose. We had a shot at the buzzer to send it into overtime, which I obviously thought we made since I thought we won the game. It clanks off the rim, and I was devastated.

Nate, Barnstormer, and Aaron....I loved hearing you guys talk with Jay about odd Indiana town names. I never left my home state of Ohio until I entered a medical residency in Indiana. The 1st week on the job my boss asked me to go to the ER to admit a patient who was from Brazil. A few hours later he called my upset, wanting to know why I hadn't admitted the patient yet. I told him it was because I was waiting for the interpreter. He said, "No, the patient is from the town Brazil, Indiana." I'll let you guess how it came about a few weeks later I found out there is also a Moscow, Indiana!

I've lived in Indiana my whole life. (That really has nothing to do with what I'm about to say, but I hope that might qualify it in some way lol) Nate stating that Duke football has been better in recent years made me think of how Indiana has been better as well. In 2015, IU played Duke in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl which was played in Yankee Stadium. I thought it was very interesting that 2 schools historically known as BASKETBALL schools... were playing each other in FOOTBALL... in a BASEBALL stadium.

I am new to the podcast, so I went back and listened to the first episodes. Nate talking about Bingo not being able to get on the escalator reminded me of the time I had my 3 kids with me at the mall. The 3 year old begged to go down the escalator but I was holding a terrified 1 year old and a 2 year old. I stood at the top escalator for what felt like 15 minutes trying to step onto it. I would step out then step back. Then sit there and stare at it trying to figure out if I could get on it without using the handrail. After picturing myself on a viral video somersaulting all the way down with 2 kids in my arms, I decided we would just go try to make the elevator sound really fun.
And Nate’s Dad’s story about the broken thumb reminded me of the time I broke my foot in a high school basketball game by stepping on someone else’s foot. No one saw it so no one believed me. I ran over and told the coach to take me out. My coach and my mother were livid. After wearing a cast for a month I was told it was fine. I played another year and kept telling my parents it was still broken. Finally, a year later a sports specialist looked at it and it was very broken. He told my parents he couldn’t believe I was walking on it at all, I had to have surgery to have it fused back together. #vindicated

I just love listening to this podcast. I think I reference it at least once a day during normal conversations, but I havent found anyone else that listens to it yet. I will keep trying. I love the chemistry between Nate, Breakfast, and Aaron - but I enjoy when they have a guest. Jay Cutler was great, his sense of humor was on point for this podcast. I think my favorite part of this particular episode was the look on Aaron's face when Jay says that they grow a different type of corn for popcorn. And then Nate trying to 'understand' how they grow popcorn corn... That's Gold Jerry! Gold!
On the flip side, i have been listening back through the old podcasts for like the 3rd or 4th time - and I had a dog growing up named Jim. He was a beagle and that was his name when we got him, and we just kept it. so it makes me smile whenever you guys are talking about dogs with human names, specifically Jim. On this week’s episode I learned the following shocking facts:
    1. There is an official wetsuit of the NFL.
    2. Jay Cutler has, in fact, had soda before, and
    3. Brian uses any air time he gets to promote his own podcast.
BTW, Nate, my last name is pronounced (SISS-er-oh)

Although Jay comes off just a notch above the team in discussion, like a college aged kid hanging out with a bunch of middle school or high schools kids, I like how he and Nate got to bond a little over his story about popcorn on his farm and wondering if he was lied to and believed it all this time just like Nate’s story about John and Jane Doe that took him 20 years to go “wait a minute..”

Hello folks! Been listening since the first episode. I find it interesting that a lot of jokes come from everyday life. I thought about you guys the other day when I was at the dmv. As I was waiting (as one does at the dmv) there was a sign at one of the booths that read “employee in training. Please be patient.” Basically just giving the customers a fair warning, “hey, just so you know this is going to be a complete disaster. Neither of us want to be here and today is going to be worse than you could possibly imagine.” Made me chuckle. Love the pod. Keep up the good work!

Not much actually interesting about Indiana, about what I expected as a “country bumpkin” Hoosier! Shout out from the RV capital of the world. Love the podcast guys.

I love how at the 1:23:28 mark when Nate is talking about building back up a ghost town, that you could make it a real town and build a Salon. I assume he meant Saloon, like in a western town, unless they need a place for cowboys to get their haircut. And what is funny is that nobody caught it and just kept on like "yeah, a Salon sounds like a great idea". Anyways, keep it up guys!

The idea of Nate going to that school to fix his dyslexia made me think of the episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia when Charlie is part of an experiment and everyone (except the gang) is in on it. They make him think he’s becoming Einstein when he’s really spouting nonsense the gang only discovers at the very end. Great episode. Charlie was so confident.

Sup, folks! You fellas heard of a guy called Karl Pilkington? He's a British guy that looks a little like Broin, and thinks of things a little more simply, kinda like Nate. Aaron could assume the role of interpreter even though you guys could just turn on the subtitles for his Manchester accent. Anywho keep up the work, I think we're getting similar levels of enjoyment out of it. Thanks and have a great day!

Hello po-folks, I’m an avid runner and true natelandian listener. I have a goal this year to run 600 miles and I’m 437 miles into that goal… The reason that’s important is because every time I run, I try and listen to Nate, aaron and Beavercreek. But have to stop multiple times while running because it turns out running and laughing don’t go well together. Here’s to long car rides and boring runs without the tres amigos.

Nate - with how much you love the game of golf, have you ever considered giving disc golf a shot? It scores the same as golf and is played very much the same, i feel like you would enjoy it. It has been around for many years but is finally starting to get off the ground now. You could be an early ambassador of the quickest growing sport around!

Pretty funny when Brian mentioned he and Aaron are golfing later on that day--with Brian looking like the guy that sits in the Starter shack and Aaron in camouflage, looking like Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) in Caddyshack.
