8 HOURS IN BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA - GAMCHEON - TAEJONGDAE - HAEUNDAE BEACH

8 HOURS IN BUSAN:
After a long business trip in Seoul I made a spontaneous decision to take a day trip to the seaside city of Busan, South Korea. I took the train to Busan (like the movie) and although the trip was short I was still able to experience the what Busan has to offer in terms of culture, nature, beaches and food. My 8 hour daytime itinerary is broken down below.
0:54 GAMCHEON CULTURAL VILLAGE
A quick taxi from Busan station and you will arrive at arguably the most popular tourist destination in Busan. Gamcheon cultural village is known for its brightly coloured houses, maze-like alleys and picturesque views. Built on the slope of a mountainside Gamecheon village has been nicknamed the Santorini of South Korea.
3:22 TAEJONGDAE
On the southernmost point of Yeongdo District in Busan is Tajongdae Nature park. A beautiful attraction filled with huge trees, an observatory, a light house, a ferry terminal and much more. There is a loop trail through the park that you can leisurely walk in a few hours. If you’re looking for stunning views and some exercise this is the place for you.
4:35 HAEUNDAE BEACH
Busan’s most popular beach and often referred to as the most famous beach in Korea. Haeundae beach is located right next to an urban area filled with hotels and high rises. The beach attracts over 10 million visitors every summer and is a great place to get some sand and sun for the day. There are restaurants, cafes, and bars all walking distance from the beach.

Thanks a lot. I did it in under 2 hours but I was moving fast and didn’t stop much. I’d say 3 hours if you stop at the lighthouse, observatory, temple, etc
