@potato There is absolutely nothing wrong with not liking babies. It's a personal preference. Different people appreciate different things. Not everyone _has_ to love babies just because you think it should be the norm.
As for having an 'obvious neurological problem' being cringe, are you suggesting that having an _actual_ neurological problem (y'know a problem that _isn't_ made up by people who think anyone thinking differently is touched in the head) such as depression or ADHD is cringe? Dunno man, that kind of thinking sounds pretty 'cringe' to me.

@potato You sure do like the word literally. Do you know what it actually means, or are you just vomiting it out willy nilly because everyone else does?

When my brother-in-law was 13 he was sitting in a car with a friend and they were unwrapping all the snapping pops in one of those bargain packs you get from Sams Club. They had almost a thumbnail size ball of it on a sheet of paper before it went off from friction, or shock, or because it was having a bad day. The bang was LOUD. Silver fulminate is so volatile that large piles of it can detonate under their own weight.

Silver fulminate is often confused with silver nitride, silver azide, or fulminating silver. "Fulminating silver", though always referring to an explosive silver-containing substance, is an ambiguous term. While it may be a synonym of silver fulminate, it may also refer to the nitride or azide, the decomposition product of Tollen's reagent, or an alchemical mixture, which does not contain the fulminate anion.

I did this reaction slightly differently and I got a much gentler reaction. If you ever revisit this, try adding the silver nitrate to the tube, adding the ethanol on top of that and a tiny smidge of water, maybe 10%-20% to get the silver nitrate to dissolve in the ethanolic solution, then you heat this up to the reaction temperature of 60C (I used a carefully monitored water bath) and slowly add your nitric acid in last. For me it bubbled a bit, but not to the point where it would even risk bubbling over, and didn't produce really any visible nitrogen dioxide. I was able to make about 500 mg at once and it was gentle as a lamb.

I made a few grams of this stuff awhile back. Played with it for a day and then put the rest of it inside a folded up filter paper, and then put that inside a water filled container and stored it with the rest of my energetics. Months later, I was cleaning up my lab, and found it, decided to dispose of it as I had to real use for it other than playing with it. Now, this was before I should of been making and playing with stuff like this, before I knew safety protocols and how to handle and properly dispose of energetic compounds. I took the paper out, put it on the ground and started to hit it with a blow torch, now I've done this before to dispose of things, and having been wet I expected it to pop and fizzle until it was all burned up. Well it didn't, it detonated the whole amount ( a few grams). Shook the hell out of me, I had a ringing in my ears for the rest of the day and learned a valuable lesson. After that, I took a step back from energetics to learn basics and proper handling. No accidents since

Step one: use a metallic silver ingot to make silver fulminate.
Step two: blow up some stupid coke can with that silver fulminate.
Step three: realize where all your silver is.

i used to take the bags of poppits and unload all of it into the bag that held all the poppits and wood chips and make a mega poppit.
you can break concrete with enough of it lol, i know because i had to redo our front patio when i scared my sister when she was unloading them and the bag just dropped onto the ground between her feet lmao.
