It isn’t as crazy or exert like in Charged but they still have their own personalities and traits and more than one animations for victory or losing which I am happy about 💯🤙🏽
One thing that should be change is adding team members that aren't clones of the characters Some boos, koopas, Hammer bros and even bringing the kremlins back would be great
As much as the old dark and nitty gritty charm has been lost, the new animations are clean. I like how after a team scores, they run off to celebrate while the other team mopes around. And while I do enjoy Boom Boom, I’m really gonna miss Kritter for sure. Same with the character specific themes. Doesn’t look like they’re in this game either. My favorite animation is 3:05 My man Bowser looks like he just caught his wife cheating on him
The fact Rosalina is like the one person to not get triggered upon the opposition scoring is in character lmao. She just stares in discourage for a moment then puts it aside
A small concern is that this animations are not random, in all gameplays I have seen, they do the same animation when they score their first goal, so that makes me think that they do it in order and not just random and probably they only have like 2 goal Celebrations, meanwhile the GameCube one had 4 and charged 6 per character
to be fair these are alot more stylized than the older ones since those pretty had them walking and smiling, think of it as a quality over quantity sort of deal

I never played the 2 predecessors, but I watched some video here on youtube and thought "A mario-striker for the Switch would be great." I really was curious how Rosalina would fit into this game... It feels ok , her being "the reserved one, that does not show a lot of skin "; Her cheering is modest, her anger is also reduced to walking away. I really wonder what Daisy is allowed to show in the anmations.
Got Dang Luigi Can Work It (Also I Love The Animation With Waluigi At 3:00) (Also Also Another Thing, Even Though All The Characters Dont Get Assigned A Genre Of Music Like In Charged They Still Get Their Own Riffs, Which Is Fine By Me)
Some of you in the comments may be too young to know what Mario Strikers Charged was. If you think these guys have character, check out the animations from Strikers Charged - they're just as good.
No I'm sorry but Rosalina is the most boring character ever imo. She is so uninteresting to watch. Her winning animation is just her floting around (like an other game she is in) and that it, we got it you can fly. Her losing is just her doing ☹ and living that it. The same face as the intro and the selection screen btw. The other are kinda fine tho.
1. I hope they have more than one scoring animation. Because they've had far more back then. 2. Really missing the edge in this one. Bowser doesn't literally attack his teammates for messing up. 3. Aside from Waluigi, I'm not feeling most of these.
1. They do. So far, we've seen 2 from each character and there could ver well be 3 for each one. And there are more on Twitter as well. 2. Edge was never the appeal of Strikers. It was the attention to detail they gave for the characters. Battle League is firing on all cylinders there, just in a different way.
@@Dragular saying the edge was never part of the appeal is a lie. The art design and atmosphere of those games was part of what made them so memorable.
@@cgk1276 The edginess really started with Charged, though. The original didn't have that. It had some attitude, but not much more than a typical Mario Sports game at the time. Battle League, in my opinion is somewhat of a middle ground between the first and second. It's not as edgy as Charged, but it has more attitude than the original. Even in the intro, as mid as the cutscene was, the characters there were portrayed much more serious and angry than how they were in the original. I think that Next Level Games did a great job in the animations. I look forward to seeing how they characterize the upcoming DLC...
11:05 The *cocky swagger* on this beast of a man!
10:59 is probably my favorite waluigi animations by far
It always catches me off guard when a new Mario game comes with such fluid character animation and I love it
I miss the old Ace Power ups they had for captain characters in Charged, like Mario and Luigi super form, Waluigi’s wall, Wario’s… “smoke screen” kind of sucks but the game still looks dope, hopefully they give them unique dodge mechanics in this one, like in the previous one
Also, WHERE TF IS DAISY, I find her to be literally the best out of all the others in Charged
DK’s animations make me want a new dk game SOOOO BADLY
I'm gonna miss the post apocaliptic of the Game and the personalities they give
I miss wanluigi croop chop
Wario making it rain with his own forged currency is absolutely hilarious to me
Man, they must've had a blast animating these guys.
It isn’t as crazy or exert like in Charged but they still have their own personalities and traits and more than one animations for victory or losing which I am happy about 💯🤙🏽
One thing that should be change is adding team members that aren't clones of the characters
Some boos, koopas, Hammer bros and even bringing the kremlins back would be great
As much as the old dark and nitty gritty charm has been lost, the new animations are clean. I like how after a team scores, they run off to celebrate while the other team mopes around.
And while I do enjoy Boom Boom, I’m really gonna miss Kritter for sure. Same with the character specific themes. Doesn’t look like they’re in this game either.
My favorite animation is 3:05 My man Bowser looks like he just caught his wife cheating on him
I miss the sound when you throw a Bob-omb (0:07), but I really like that they kept the sudden death song (0:58)
Let's just wish a warm welcome to Rosalina in the violent world of Mario Strikers ! ✨
And she was as boring as you could expected
Boom clocking Waluigi at 9:56 is the funniest thing I've seen today I can't stop laughing
The fact Rosalina is like the one person to not get triggered upon the opposition scoring is in character lmao.
She just stares in discourage for a moment then puts it aside
I love the squash and stretch on the characters gives them a more wacky and life like feel
@@dirtmuffin2048 This is the Switch though, not the Wii nor the Gamecube. I think they could do more animations for each character with the same level of quality in this video. It's a more powerful console so they can do it.
@@timidwithapen2612 Nintendo fans are never pleased 😂
@@dirtmuffin2048 not really, only the first one that all the characters do when they do their first goal is the one with a lot of personality, the second one is shorter and uninteresting, like the Mario one is him jumping and scream with joy, but when he scores a second goal, he just waves to the crowd while smiling and walking slowly off, this one lasts a couple seconds
@@wompwompcryabttit is not that, but like, is disappointing that in the previous game that was released 15 year ago there were a ton more of animations, and now they are just like 2, is like making a step backwards
Finally we get to see the Mario cast with some personality! So fun to watch.
I’m so happy they are finally trying to make Mario animation more expressive these days, the Wii era wasn’t exactly the best
I just love how expressive everyone is.
2:32 Look at disappointed Boom-Boom lmao
I love how beautiful this game looks
Next Level Games really worked hard to produce some nice graphics. And sweet moves, DK!
Okay Luigi I see you! Get em!! 1:34
Ikr he got them good dance moves
@@LazyHoeWithLore No offense to Donkey Kong but Luigi stylin on him lol
@Thundervolt I know right
@@LazyHoeWithLore lmao
06:46 Narutoad run
More like : "We are planes now !!!"
@@usernem8753 Stay in formation, STAY IN FORMATION! Lol
It was so cute though
I guarantee no other Nintendo team besides Next Level Games could've made every character here feel so dynamic and personified with these animations. So glad they got to work on this game! My personal favorites are Toad's 7:09 and all of DK's
5:27 that seemed extra violent somehow. Lol
Imagine you score a goal about to celebrate and someone just blindsided you with a red shell.
10:49 Seeing Waluigi and Rosalina get slapped by a red shell and sent flying as a goal was made just makes me laugh
I knew they would bring back Bowser breathing fire when he's losing.
11:05 - 11:15 The victory theme that was playing over Waluigi’s animation fit sooo well for him, despite him being my least favorite Mario character along with Wario, Prince “I’m that jerk from the Japanese animated Mario movie in the 90s”, and Prince Peasley, I like his animations in this game so much.
Wow, anyone else notice how much squash and stretch is in this game?
I love the new mouth movements on those characters. especially on wario and waluigi
Dang they really made these expressive
I never played the 2 predecessors, but I watched some video here on youtube and thought "A mario-striker for the Switch would be great." I really was curious how Rosalina would fit into this game...
It feels ok , her being "the reserved one, that does not show a lot of skin "; Her cheering is modest, her anger is also reduced to walking away. I really wonder what Daisy is allowed to show in the anmations.
6:50 Uhh, those Toads are running straight towards the electric wall 😅
The squash and stretch really fits these characters
Got Dang Luigi Can Work It
(Also I Love The Animation With Waluigi At 3:00)
(Also Also Another Thing, Even Though All The Characters Dont Get Assigned A Genre Of Music Like In Charged They Still Get Their Own Riffs, Which Is Fine By Me)
I love the hint of squash and stretch
Mario saying Yahoo for me really made me laugh I don’t know why.
" Yahoo for me ! "
@@hitasuperkevin64icies65 Lol thank you
Luigi dancing made me laugh
He's too precious!!!!
Rosalina just flat out quits when losing. This game is already living up to the hype. THE CHARM IS BACK BOYS
HAVE YOU SEEN DONKEY KONG'S MOVES
Not having Daisy is a crime against humanity.
Just hope that she is DLC or a free character in an update
Those Dk animations are straight fire
Some of you in the comments may be too young to know what Mario Strikers Charged was. If you think these guys have character, check out the animations from Strikers Charged - they're just as good.
Animations look great (except for peach and Rosa which look dull and boring) but the lack of Daisy is unforgivable.
how do they look dull and boring
@@maphen look at Peach's animations in the previous 2 strikers game.
that's how.
Charged>Battle League
Disagree
No I'm sorry but Rosalina is the most boring character ever imo. She is so uninteresting to watch. Her winning animation is just her floting around (like an other game she is in) and that it, we got it you can fly. Her losing is just her doing ☹ and living that it. The same face as the intro and the selection screen btw. The other are kinda fine tho.
All these Animations are amazing!
Added to the fact that there weren't any losing animations, and the only instance where the characters were "mad" was in their entrances. It was overall very light on atmosphere. Battle League, in my opinion is somewhat of a middle ground between the first and second. It's not as edgy as Charged, but it has more attitude than the original. Even in the intro, as mid as the cutscene was, the characters there were portrayed much more serious and angry than how they were in the original.
Charged is what people think of when they think about Mario Strikers. It was really the only game in the series that was truly "edgy".
The animation in this game is damn good
Thats why I love strickers, is a saga with so much personality
The level of brainrot on twitter is out of control. This is the best animation in the series. Seriously.
Luigi's animations are insanely smooth
