11:00 if you want to weld a hole that was cause by abrasion you are better prepared that your weld is as large or larger than a quarter coin in diameter, the material around the hole is paper thin as well …. I welded on honey wagons before with the juice still leaking out! The rod that works 10 times better than 6010 is Rockmount Tartan AAA …. Talk about a fast freeze rod …. Burning through contamination while the liquid is still oozing out …. That rod is king !
There is a half dozen ways to achieve welds on thin metal that dont involves that welder If the welder has tig option use it put a 3/32 collet in the torch put stick rod in the collet no gas and stick weld with tig torch use foot pedal for heat control If u can get it clean just tig it Use a suit case mig on a stick welder or spool gun all major generator style welder have options for this Weld it with oxy acetylene with mig wire filler or braze or silicon bronze
@@jeremyhanna3852 Those are all better options than 6010. This video was how to do it if all you had was 6010, or if it was windy/rainy/dirty. MIG would definitely be the more desirable way.

I need to try some of those rods.
Going to check those rods out thanks
That would have been so easy with a mig welder
Yes... unless don't have a Mig welder
Well, if you would have had an HTP pulse stick machine you wouldn’t have had that problem.
Yes, especially if you had a slider hooked up to control your amperage while welding.

@@LostSkills right using the footpedal on a stick welder is a good trick
