Awww, thank you! :D This was terrifying to open, & then I laughed a lot at your descriptions of the grossness! (In part because story 2, Foetus, that was part of my university dissertation XD I had a fantastic tutor, thankfully, who's a FB friend to this day, & actually compared to another guy in my class who was majorly into interracial erotica & big black, hem, Male Parts, I think my shock value got dulled down a fair bit XD ) - & it's always especially awesome to hear people enjoy Eden's story though, with it being a total afterthought, but also the one that matters the most, since eventually they will rampage their way through multiple solo volumes, both set in the mid-1800s & in the present-ish day...the latter I'm overhauling (again...again...again! It was conceived in 2007, born in 2011, & is still growing up - the original text is unrecognisable...and thank god - it was an abomination!), & I think this time it may have been kicked about, smashed up & stuck back together the way it actually should be! I am having so much fun getting to live & write it all again with fresh licence to improvise wildly :D I was planning to put out their Victorian novel sometime in the next year, but I think the rest of the world should meet them all in the here & now like I did, with their early tales being a fun tag-on afterwards... :) And heh, it's funny, I don't tend to write much sex into novels, but my short stories doooo often tend to spin around 'What if.../insert revolting thing or comedically bizarre kink/' - I think when I started writing shorts, a big inspiration was Chuck Palahniuk, with his infamous Guts story ( chuckpalahniuk.net/features/shorts/guts - WARNING graphic literary content!), & everything else from the Haunted book, & Choke, Invisible Monsters, & obviously the gorgeously lacerating fury of some of the Fight Club quotes - endlessly bizarre ideas that just crash right over the line where any other author would walk away shaking their head, lol! I really need to re-read his stuff, even if it fills me with vile ideas XD //long? Long! But thank you again for your lovely words!
Of Herbs and Altars I’m glad to hear the vampires will be getting their own novels! I will definitely look into the works you’ve listed as well, I take a train to work every day and I read while in transit which is pry how I get through so many books lol 🖤 thank you for taking the time to write this, it’s awesome to hear some back story to your writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the book!
Please, please, please read Dorian's blog in its entirety. His collected work is without doubt a rival to the amazing Poppy Z Brite (Lost Souls, Exquisite Corpse) The only complaint I have of Dorian's work is that I NEED MORE.... Dorian's use of language is a pleasure to soak in. Loved your book review video by the way and your descriptions of the 'illicit pleasures' Putrescent Vein will give for re-reading in years to come. 💜🐀🐀🐀🐀🖤
Bruce Worth I’m happy to find another so passionate about his work, and I intend to look into his blog, but I do find it hard to read from a screen. That is why I was so excited to see him put out a book! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Dorian is one of the best writers I have ever read and needs to be much more widely known. Yes, a lot of people couldn't handle the stories but there are so many people who could and are missing out! It belongs along with Poppy Z Brite and Clive Barker.
@@AutumnMourning ohhh I suppose so, I thought you'd have an idea of how well its been received by readers; I've not come across the book anywhere but say amazon - so how was this published or distribute? Ive not red the book myself - but seen Dorians video about it - which I think is some kind of pseudo autobiography or etc...
@@ambientsoda106 I believe it was self published, I knew about it because I love the authors RUclips channel and he shares his writing there as well. I think among his fans the book is well known, but outside of that circle I’m sure it is less prominent..
@@AutumnMourning well that makes some sense now, as I've not seen book in 'Waterstones' store...self publishing wow, I always thought you'd need a publisher if you don't say used some piece of software for making free e-books... But I must be missing a page, in terms of of youtube channel, as recently a host of people each posted about Dorian being a 'he'...I'm so confused about it and the gender thing...I think its add to the youtube channels fun though, someone who dresses to be recognised as a female, while called 'he', while saying they have a functioning vagina - insane great stuff alongside brilliant makeup and rants and vampirism...great comedian I think...

How did you get a signed copy??
Sounds very similar to Poppy Z Brite
Jessica Dykes I’ll have to check that out
How well has it sold?
Idk you’d have to ask the author?

I like Dorian's videos, but that book is repulsive.
