  • Travis Rudolph’s attorney, Marc Shiner, delivered the defense’s closing argument Tuesday. Shiner attempted to discredit the state’s case, calling the lead investigator “a dummy” and the entire case something you’d see on the hit HBO show “The Sopranos.” Rudolph is on trial for the murder of Sebastien Jean-Jacques after a confrontation turned violent in April 2021.

This lead detective not only ignored exculpatory evidence, did absolutely no detective work, and had tunnel vision to fit her own narrative - she was just downright negligent. To only be in her career for 3 years, and to be a Lead Detective, seems reckless and inappropriate, because she’s still in rookie land, in opinion. Honestly, this detective is out right dangerous, because she’s so incompetent. If you watched her testimony, it’s evident. Every conviction obtained, due to her “detective work”, needs to be overturned. All of the cases she worked on, need to be reexamined. I’m willing to bet money, that 20 years from now, we’ll find that she sent an innocent person to prison, because she’s just… not fit to be in this career at all. The jury definitely got it right, and I’m so happy that Travis walked away today a free man. I pray he and his family are able to heal from this traumatic event, and that Travis can rebuild his life. Perfect example of someone having a position they do not deserve, she is horrible & showed that she could care less about this case. These are the types of people in charge of so many important organizations & other things... Good chance she slept with the man in charge to get there...
